****Editing to add: I explained my experience on the website as suggested below. In 48 hours or so, I received a message that they were sending my message to the local sight. Over 20 days later, I am not expecting to hear from the site, despite saying I would like someone to reach out. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. The $23 for the half filled acai bowls was a complete money grab with horrific customer service. **** I arrived at 7:10pm with my two kids that were looking forward to açaí bowls. I tried ordering on the app but was having issues logging in so I figured it would be easier to order in the store. We were the only customers in the store. I begin to place my order and ask them to substitute various things (all are options in the app). The woman working there says she doesn't think you can. I said the app gives me those options, should I just order online?? She says yes. I place my order - 2 different açaí bowls for $23. She makes two of the same bowls with the wrong toppings. She then fixes one and brings it back, it is still missing the banana that it comes with!!! She then says, they are out of banana. She does not offer any additional fruit or extra berries or anything. My son takes his bowl and is happy. She then tries to give me the other bowl that has the hazelnut drizzle on it. I explain that the bowl I ordered for my daughter does not have hazelnut because she does not like it and has mango. She says she will make a new one, takes the bowl adds mango and brings it back to me. I am not a difficult person, however, my daughter would not eat it with the hazelnut and for $23, we should get what we ordered. Annoyed, she throws the bowl in the trash. She makes a new one and asks me about the toppings again. Finally, 30 minutes later we leave with two açaí bowls. For $12 these bowls are certainly lacking!!!! We will stick with Pure Raw Juice by the mall moving forward. This experience was a complete disaster. read more

The smoothies are nice and thick the way I like it!!!! I only had 1 let down where my smoothie was under blended. Never saw that person again. Each smoothie and bowl are great !!! I get a really friendly vibe when I go in. We normally go to the Bel Air Festival and the Aberdeen store where the NEW UMMC is. As far as smoothies in replacement of meals go, this is a definite option with customizable add-ons for a decent price. I went in the evening, a bit more after hours, and she still made me a delicious smoothie. As I waited, there were other nutritious snacks and bars on the walls that I was familiar with and enjoyed in replacement of meals, too. I liked the feel of the cozy environment and how it was close to my local shopping spot! The lady was kind and helpful for making decisions about the type and size of smoothie for my health needs. Their app allows you to order items they don't carry. Then, when you go to pick up said they tell you that you have to request a refund through the app which isn't possible. No manager in site either. Won't patronize this location in the future. read more

I am a lover on customer service. Well when I walked into this smoothie king, it is very nice inside but didn't receive a greeting. As I wait at the register a girl walks over and says I'll be right over. So I waited and looked through the menu a few times. Few minutes later she walks back over and asked what I wanted. I told her the medium Lean 1 pineapple mango flavor (6.99). She then asked if I wanted to add some strawberries...I asked if that cost extra, she stated yes so I declined. She then stated she was going to start on it. Her demeanor was as she wasn't happy to be there. She wasn't smiling and wasn't too Peppy. As they were making my smoothie I decided to look around at the bars and other stuff they had. They have just about every Quest bar, cookies, one serving cakes, bottles and several of health foods. The prices were a little higher than GNC for the bars depending on which ones you were interested in. My smoothie was done and I have the smoothie king app downloaded on my phone, so I made sure to show that to the cashier before I paid to get my points and then paid. She asked if I wanted my receipt, and I stated yes so she printed it for me. The cashier wasn't really Peppy either...she seemed to only be there because she was suppose to be. When I tried the smoothie, it was decent but the flavor was a little off from what it normally taste like. So all in all I will give them a 3 because I didn't really feel that welcome and the smoothie didn't really hit the mark that it normally does. read more

I come here most Friday mornings with my daughter before school. We share a 32oz of whatever she likes which is usually the pineapple/mango leanOne shake. We are always greeted very politely and whoever is working is always nice. The shake is consistent every time and my daughter an I always enjoy the smoothie along with the calm and relaxing atmosphere in the morning. read more

I love this Smoothie King. Emma and Abby are wonderful and make the best smoothies around. The service is always wonderful and the facility is always clean. They offer low calorie, low carb and low sugar smoothies. They are honest about the calories on their menu so no researching is needed like some of the other Smoothie Shops. Great job!!!!! read more

Love the smoothies from here... I know they are a little more expensive but they are so healthy and tasty. I'm trying the Pineapple Pleasure which made skinny is only 270 calories for 32 ounces! I do have a complaint that the rewards system has changed... It used to be buy 9 smoothies get the 10th free (totaled like $36) now it's a points system 1 point per penny spent... BUT a small smoothie costs 7500 points... That's $75!!! Crappy crappy rewards program! read more

I notice Smoothie Kings employees don't wear gloves. And at this particular location the young girl making my smoothie appeared to be under the weather because she was coughing everywhere without covering her mouth and rubbing her nose while making my smoothie. I thought about saying something but that would've probably made the situation worse. They make you pay upfront so they already had my money and I was just glad I ordered a small because it was going straight to the garbage. They will never get another dime from me and I will share this disgusting experience with family friends and coworkers. There's no excuse for handling food products in this manner.
