I called ahead specifically to place an order and make things easier, but the employee who answered the phone immediately told me to "order it online." I was driving at the time, so that wasn't an option. She then rushed me through the order and sounded like she couldn't wait to get me off the phone. When I asked when the order would be ready, she simply said, "Not very long." No actual time. Nothing useful. I asked if she needed my name for the order, and she said, "We'll figure it out when you get here." I also asked if I could provide payment information over the phone and was told, "Pay it when you get here." Since someone else was picking up the food for me, this created a completely unnecessary inconvenience. The entire reason I called ahead was to place the order, know when it would be ready, and have someone pick it up for me without having to stand around waiting. And then it got even worse. The person picking up my food arrived approximately 45 minutes after I placed the order and was told, "WE DON'T HAVE YOUR ORDER!!!" Are you kidding me? So I called ahead, placed the order, was given virtually no useful information, couldn't pay in advance, she wouldn't take my name for the order, and then 45 minutes later the person I sent to pick it up was told they didn't even have the order. That is an unbelievable failure in basic customer service and order management. At this point, I have to seriously question whether the employee even properly entered the order in the first place. If your system doesn't provide customers with a pickup time, doesn't allow payment over the phone, doesn't take a name for the order, and then can't even locate the order when someone arrives to pick it up, what exactly is the point of calling ahead? The employee's attitude from the very beginning made it seem like my business was an inconvenience. Unfortunately, the experience proved that impression was justified. Management needs to seriously address the way customers are being treated. Good food doesn't make up for terrible service, poor communication, and an order that apparently disappears into thin air. If this employee doesn't want to deal with customers, perhaps she should be moved to a position where she doesn't have to or just be fired! Because based on this experience, she certainly doesn't seem interested in helping them.
