Three poor little northerners melting in the heat stumbled across this cafe and rejoiced! The food was all light and fresh, with good options for even the pickiest of us (grilled chicken and rice. The best egg sandwich was a bold statement, but not wrong. I wouldn't have thought soft boiled eggs would work as well as they did, but it was outstanding. First visit to Pura Vida Miami, and I was very impressed! I liked the decor and atmosphere - very light, bright, and clean. Such a pleasant space. I did sit outside because it was a perfect night weather wise, and the patio was nice too. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Bowl and it was delicious! The raw tuna was honestly some of the best I've had. All the textures and flavors in bowl worked so well together. The only note that would keep me from going back regularly is the price. The bowl was about $25. Granted, anything with sashimi is going to be on the pricey side, but I felt it was a bit expensive. Other than that, it was a lovely experience. The severs were very friendly when we placed our order at the counter, and they brought our meals to the table outside. Beautiful decor, spread out tables, lots of different seating options inside and out...it was wonderful as a first timer here. I met my friend who told me the avocado salmon bowl is fantastic, so that's what I got (sans the feta). And she was right - it was really, really good and fresh tasting. I can't say there was anything super 'special' about it, if that makes sense, but rather just delicious and the salmon was cooked really nice (not overdone!). I think this is why I'm giving it four stars instead of five. Also, I think it was $26 which seemed a tad over-priced especially for a smaller cut of salmon. Again, a solid four stars for that as well. I would definitely come back and try some other things. It would be a great space to get some work done, or do a meeting. Very impressed! read more

The smoothie was great the Miami experience one. But the food was severely overpriced 35$ for a steak bowl and it was unenjoyable. The steak was cold when I received it and didn't taste like good quality. I would definitely not recommend this place for food. They are only good for their drinks and that's all. read more

If you haven't been to Pura Vida Miami yet what are you waiting for? This gorgeous aesthetic restaurant serves up healthier food options which pack a ton of flavor. I believe you can feel good about these menu options and it's the first place I think about when I want fresh and healthy, nutrient-dense food. This location is the furthest north in the state of a Florida and is one of two on the Gulf coast side (the other being in Naples). They have even expended to NYC and California! There is good reason this concept is going far-fresh, tastefully healthy food in a sublime setting that delivers. I have been to this location a handful of times and it never disappoints. They offer a variety of menu items: breakfast all-day, bakery items, salads, wraps, plates, bowls, sandwiches, juices, wellness shots, coffees, smoothies, açaí bowls, snacks, bottled drinks, I am a big fan of their salads, entree bowls, the açaí bowls as well as their wraps and cookies. My favorite things to get are the salmon entree bowls which are delicious and whose contents change up seasonally I think. My daughter is a huge fan of the kids' pancake box--she said the pancakes were so delicious and even better than mine (to which she gives accolades to me about)!! I love and appreciate that the pancakes are made with wholesome ingredients like sweet potatoes. The box comes with a fresh juice or lemonade and fresh fruit accompaniment. Try it for yourself! The dining room is beautiful with the artificial flora around and the interior is bright and ethereal. The seating is comfortable and I love that they have nice seating outside for Al fresco dining in a nice setting with fauna surrounding. This is an order-at-the-counter (or in advanced for pick-up or delivery) type place and you are assigned a number block and you sit at whatever table you may desire, displaying your number block. The waiting period for the food is about 15 minutes or less I'd say. On my visits I've always had helpful service by Alé, Logan, and Lily. I've never had to wait long for my food here. I enjoy there is a water spicket towards the front side of the restaurant you can get water at as needed. The staff is also helpful and responsive and checks up on your party to see if you need anything. I will continue to patronize Pura Vida Miami again and again. The chicken was little overcooked however, the bread so soft and the veggies were delicious. I also believe we got the wrong sauce according to pictures. I love Pura Vida Miami and visit many locations in South Florida and have been to this Lakewood Ranch location a few times. Yesterday I ordered takeout and the experience left a lot to be desired. I arrived about 10 minutes after the quoted pickup time. My food was not in the takeout pickup area, so I did head to the counter. There were three staff members visible behind the front counter, one who was actively working and two, Brooke and Kari, who were talking to each other and some friends of theirs by the counter. The conversation was not work appropriate. While Brooke saw me, she was slow to approach the counter and offer assistance. When I advised I was picking something up she said it was likely being finished up, but she didn't seem to actually check at all. During this whole interaction, I could see a salad on the counter that I assumed, correctly would be mine. It sat waiting to be bagged for several minutes. This was ultimately packaged by a gentleman who appeared to be a manager who was on the phone all the time. The two girls who had been chatting with each other also spent substantial time talking with him. As he was "multitasking" this seemed to make the packaging take forever. When he bagged it he just set it on a side counter for another employee to take over to the pickup area, ignoring context clues that it might be for the sole person waiting nearby. It was just not an experience I expect from a Pura Vida, which is a pricier fast casual restaurant. As a customer, I felt ignored and not valued. read more

A restaurant with a menu that makes edits every month? Yes please! An amiga said Pura Vida was worth the trek from St Pete to Sarasota and she was not wrong. The summer chicken bowl was delicious. The chicken was tender. The jasmine rice was cooked well. The carrots tasted fresh. The spicy soy ginger sauce was the perfect compliment. I also really enjoyed my iced tea sweetened with stevia. Every dish that came to our table was "eat the rainbow" with plenty of colourful veggies and fruits. Ahhh, I was so happy to see a Pura Vida opened here! Granted, it's still an hour from where I live... but closer than Miami, at least! Dressing was well balanced. And the pesto sauce on my husband's sandwich was delicious too. So my friend took me here on my birthday week to celebrate!! I had a hard time deciding because so many items looked delicious on the menu. I chose the omelette with a side of avocado and sourdough toast! My friend had a huge croissant and the hummus plate! The food was delivered pretty quickly to our table and it was very good!! I got the iced banana brew which was phenomenal - a thicker consistency that I wasn't expecting but wasn't mad about. Great flavor with the banana as well. Service was very friendly and I was checked on twice while sitting at a table during my stay. My only criticisms would be the tables weren't cleaned off when I went to find a table and the prices are a little steep. If you're wanting to study, there is a bar with outlets by the front, otherwise the other seating options don't have any from what I could tell.
