They bake sourdough using organic flour!!! And it's so good!!!!! OH we also had their pistachio and hazelnut croissants. Also amazing. Plus it was such a cute vibe in there. Lastly, since this event was at the end of their work day, the owner/manager, Peter, decided that he didn't want to waste food by throwing it out so he sold the remainder of the pastries at 50%; PLUS he gave my fiance a whole sourdough loaf to take home!!!!! When I pulled up, I realized parking was going to be an issue. Your only option is street parking in a very busy part of town. They have plenty of spots in the back, but they are reserved for employees only. All but one of the employee spots were available. After circling the block a few times, I was able to park a block away on the street. When I walked in, I mentioned I was picking up food but I also wanted to order a coffee. The man at the counter rudely told me that I had to pick up my food at the counter in the back. When I asked if they had nonfat milk, I was again met with an attitude and he said "we only have local milk and three dairy alternatives." It was very clear that I wasn't being respected because I wasn't a local. Imagine my surprise when a small/medium sized latte, with no syrup, was $9.10. Absolute highway robbery for an average latte. For food, I ordered an avocado toast with shaved egg. I had a much better experience interacting with the woman at the food window. She was incredibly kind, made an effort to talk to me and my food was ready 20 minutes early. It was good and fresh, but I now know that I'm not a fan of the texture of shaved eggs. I'm in Sarasota a few times a year and I will absolutely not be going back.
