The Herbalist was a commercial research microbiologist and is intimately familiar with how various components of whole foods interact with the body to treat a variety of circumstances. Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years as a treatment modality for aches, pains, and chronic conditions. While western medicine has developed extraordinary acute/emergency care that has saved many lives, the western approach to chronic care is symptom management. Nothing is designed to treat or cure the source of the symptom. The conventional medicine to treat one symptom creates several others (side effects) and the requirement for more and more toxic meds. Benefits of raw milk may include more nutrients, improved digestion, and enhanced immune function. Others believe that the benefits are outweighed by health risks associated with consuming raw dairy products. The raw products sold here state they are not for human consumption. In addition to raw milk they also sell raw milk kefir, raw yogurt, raw cheese, raw butter, and raw milk ice cream. Other products they sell include organic produce grown in Southwest Ranches, local honey, hormone free and grass fed meat and seafood, farm fresh eggs, bath and beauty products, bread, and fresh made key lime pies. Staff was on hand to helpfully answer customers questions. I do believe that food is medicine and that it can heal you. This market subscribes to that philosophy.
