My only gripe with this location is that it is near the dreaded Sand Lake intersection, which is messed up no matter what time of day it is. I think I would be open to shopping here more if it was in an easier to navigate shopping plaza.

While I do prefer the Winter Park location (as it is also near some other eateries and shopping areas), this location is the one nearest to my home. It is located off a busy thoroughway, so it does get a little tricky to get here at times. There's a good amount of parking. It does, like most of their locations, get pretty busy, but for the most part, you can usually always find parking. The staff is kind and helpful (when and if needed). The food options/varieties are great! As with their other locations, they offer various cuisine types for just about everyone. This is also inclusive of their dining options (i.e., their hot and cold bars, bakery, and the like). They have a range of household items, personal care items, toiletries, groceries, and so forth. So, again, you can usually find most of what you need. As far as their dining options go, I've gotten a hot lunch from Whole Foods on numerous occasions. I never eat there, but you can if you'd like, as they have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating options to enjoy your meal. I'm usually not disappointed with the options. I also really enjoy a number of their soup options. The bakery is probably my favorite section! I'm always leaving Whole Foods with something sweet. Nonetheless, Whole Foods is a great shopping experience. Again, they are pricey and are usually pretty busy, but it's usually always worth it.

From all the different quality products, the amazing customer service, and the overall environment... it's always a great experience. I feel like the staff really create an environment where customers feel they can ask questions and really get an educated response from the staff. Ms. Deb took time with me, and several other customers, to explain the uses, benefits, and research behind many of the products. During my first visit, there was a teacher, a nurse, and another lady that were all having a discussion with Ms. Deb about a few of the Health Food store's products for immune support and healthy hygiene products. Not only was Ms. Deb able to answer with informed information, but she also knew about the vender's themselves. I was very impressed, I'm pretty sure we all were. If I were a vender, this would be a place I would be proud to have my products on the shelf of, because I can tell they believe in what they sell. Now, before ordering off of Amazon or going to Publix or Walmart, I check to see if the Health Food store has the product first. Not only do they normally have it, they have different quality options and some from local suppliers. I bought some delicious honey and several products I didn't expect to find under same roof... such as pure hair and skin oils like Moroccan oil and sunflower oil. They have such a large assortment, and there is so much to explore. I frequently visited this Publix when I lived in the Champions Gate area of Florida. The deli at this Publix will blow you away with their utterly delicious fresh from the deli subs, they cut their meat fresh for their subs daily (and sometimes directly as requested by customers for custom orders) and they only use fresh daily baked bread from their bakery for the sub rolls. They offer an assortment of subs that you can choose from (for example I like the chicken cordon Blu sub), and you can choose to add or subtract anything from the subs on the list. You also have the option of customizing your own sub any way you wish! Public has a wonderful bakery as well. My all time favorite dessert is the Publix key lime pie. It is the best key lime pie that I've ever tasted. Publix doesn't stop there, next they will take your breath away with their jaw dropping beautiful wedding cakes. Publix hires only the very best cake decorators for their stores. These true works of art are also very tasty as well! I could go on and on about the many ways that I love Publix! I actually lived in Silicon Valley, CA for a period of time, and during that time, I would talk to everyone I knew about how amazing Publix grocery stores were. I truly wish that Publix would expand to provide their services to the West coast. The associates at this Publix are all very kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, professional, and respectful. Some of the items were ringing up with the wrong price (more expensive) at the register so good thing I remembered how they were priced on the shelf. Also, some items had the expired sale price listed, and therefore again rang up more expensive at the register... but they honored the sale price since they forgot to take them down. I always stock up on my sage and often find the right crystals for me and always stocked up on my insense. The staff are always knowledgeable on products and herbs, they also have a large selection of herbs that they capsule or powder form formulas to help with certain needs and they will give you information on the formulas. We went on a Sunday and the parking lot was packed so we had to circle to find a spot. Luckily, there seem to always be people coming AND going so it only took a few minutes. Freshfields Farm is split up into 3 distinct areas - the fresh meat store, the fresh produce store, and the ice cream (and hot dog) window. We decided to head to the meat entrance first. The area is not that big but it is just lots of selections of fresh meat, cheese and butter. The meats seemed to be pretty good prices, slightly below Publix where I normally shop. There was ground beef, turkey, steak, chicken and seafood. Plus some huge cuts of meat like picanha and ribs. If you are going to have a BBQ, this is the place to go. Also, workers were constantly bringing out new packages and some people were waiting for them. I picked up 2 pounds of ground beef and some boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The cashiers were nice and super quick. Then we headed outside and then next door to the produce section. Basically the same as the meat department but filled with produce. There were bins of fresh strawberries when we walked in as well as avocados, a whole section of bananas and plantains, rainbow carrots, and even full cacao pods! I'm guessing they just showcase fresh seasonal produce so for example, while there were fresh plums, I didn't see navel oranges. There was also a fridge case full of squeezed juices and lemonades. And a big section of various types of mushrooms. I got a package of sliced cantaloupe and a big pack of 30 eggs. We checked out the ice cream window, which looked super yummy but because we hadn't eaten lunch yet, we decided we'll come back another time to try it.

However, they have truly embraced the times and stepped up to coordinate one of the most seamless order pick ups with far more options than they can normally house in their store location in collaboration with their local farm suppliers. It was a really great way to get access to local food in a time when innovation is most appreciated as is the ability to access fresh food when the normal grocery stores are overwhelmed with visitors. I will definitely continue to support this great local business that has made things easier in a time when many things are harder. Edit: apparently the store front has closed (unrelatedly- they announced this coming change on January 8th due to a failed lease renewal) but the business is still running through their pick up at 8505 Silver Star Rd and online ordering. The system was actually designed prior to these times and just happened to line up perfectly). This family run business is passionate about improving access to locally grown and more organic foods, and they have done an amazing job.
