I'm fairly new to the area, and I usually like to give places the benefit of the doubt--especially when I already enjoy what they offer elsewhere. Unfortunately, this location was a big disappointment and easily the worst experience I've had with this franchise. The flavors were not the same as other locations, and the service was very poor. I'd honestly rather drive to Celebration next time just to get a proper shake. To make matters worse, I called in an order (with my husband right next to me listening), but when he arrived, they had no record of it. They even claimed they don't take phone orders, which was confusing and frustrating. And to top it off, there was some sort of plastic left in our shakes, and the taste was off because of it. That was the final straw. The ambiance is just like any other location, but the service completely ruins the experience. I won't be returning. Terrible experience at this franchise. Spoke with the owners face to face about their sanitary practices at this location and it was very dismissive after my wife got food poisoning. Found out they make the food on unclean tables with no sandwich prep paper underneath. Imagine cleaning the tables with chemicals and placing a flatbread right after on it. She said she doesn't see nothing wrong with it and said every restaurant in the industry makes their sandwiches like this as it's standard practice. Last time I checked Subway, Jimmy John's, Publix, and etc..all make their sandwiches with prep paper. She also claimed to have no negative reviews, well on yelp and google reviews clearly says otherwise. The other negative reviews are also about discrimination as well as other things so I'm happy to know I'm not the only one. Her and her husband were extremely rude, aggressive and condescending towards me. I'm glad I submitted a review to the Department of Health! The other day a woman came into our office to let us know they'd just opened a location 2 miles away and gave us a buy one get one coupon. I've never been to one before so I checked it out for lunch. It's a small location without a lot of seating but they are really fast! It took all of five minutes to place my order and get my food which is a plus when you're on a lunch break! I grabbed one of their superfood smoothies called Avocolada. It's packed with spinach, kale, pineapple, coconut, avocado and lime. Omg it was amazing!!!! First off these cups are huge! It honestly tasted so good! It had a lasting sweet flavor and it just tasted like healthy goodness. I can't wait to go back and try the other flavors. Food wise I went with the cranberry pecan chicken salad sandwich and was not disappointed! The bread was toasted and full of seeds. I want to buy the entire loaf of this bread! The chicken is legit, not processed where you're not sure what you're eating. The addition of the apples complemented the cranberries to add more flavor. The sandwich size is larger enough to cut in half and have again later. I got to pick a side and chose the apple which I thought was going to be a legit Apple. Instead is was thin Apple slices with carrots, kale and a dressing that had a bite to it. I loved it! I loved how efficient they were and everything I had was delicious. Today was a horrific day at this tropical smoothie location As I was discriminated against by the owner Emily. The reason I use the words discriminated is due to the fact she's stated that she has meet me before, and we have had a negative encounter before which has never happened due to me never meeting her until today! As a former employee of this franchise I know the policy of the company! So me experiencing this horrific moment made me walk out shaking. I always order a kiwi quencher with no water which only has kiwi liquid, coconut liquid, and strawberry's. As my smoothie was handed to me I can tell something was wrong, due to it not being filled to the rim as tropical smoothie policy states for it to be before being handed to the customer. I can also tell it wasn't blended correctly, due to there being chunks in both smoothies I ordered, which where both the same kiwi quenchers. The reason I always ask for no water is because the water that is used is un filtered tap water! I asked her as an owner may she fix my smoothie for me, she refused and said she can refund my money, but will not make it again! I then ask again why can't she remake the smoothie knowing I'm dissatisfied as a customer. she then goes to state she has faith in her employee. I decided to walk out with the smoothies and not accept the refund she offered, due to the fact of her basically stating she does not care for my money as customer she wanted me to shut up and get out! So I asked for her name and informed her that I would be calling corporate. As I go to taste my smoothie once I have entered the car; it turns out my smoothie had ginger in it which I am highly allergic to! My throat started to swell and became extremely scratchy! This horrific moment could have all been avoided if as an owner she listened to my concerns as a customer and valued me as a customer! Instead I walked out shaking and had an allergic reaction due to my smoothie not being made correctly! As an owner the faith she had in her employee was incorrect she also stated that she watched her employee make my smoothie, and that is also a reason why she refused to remake it! If her as an owner watched her employee make my smoothie I would not have walked out with an allergic reaction! This one horrific moment will not stop me from enjoying tropical smoothie's amazing smoothies, but it will stop me from continuing going to this location! read more

I've grabbed to go from Tropical Smoothie Cafe 3 times now, and 1/3 was great, 1/3 was awful and 1/3 was just ok. First time going was great! I grabbed a Thai chicken wrap, which was perfectly spiced and served warm. It came with a side, which was nice! What I enjoyed most aside from the flavor was that even as a warm wrap, the lettuce & other veggies weren't slimy from the heat of the meat. Second time, I got a salad, which was yummy. Good, but not great. It had chicken and 2-3 other toppings on it, and the salad dressing was perfectly flavored. Not super impressive, but good. And very fresh. Now, the third time I grabbed to go, I got the Thai chicken wrap again. I had to let it cool off about 10 minutes because it was way too hot to eat initially. I took a bite and... Well... This time it was awful. Throw it in the trash 2 bites later kind of bad. It was so hot (temperature, not spice) that the lettuce had turned into a slimy, gross consistency that was inedible. I'm a big texture person, and the heat from the chicken was SO hot that it ruined the lettuce. Absolutely ruined it. It put such a bad taste in my mouth that I haven't wanted to go back since, which is a shame because their salads are good and the smoothies are yummy! The people working there are friendly. They always smile and greet you in a nice & professional manner. The decor is a little cheesy, but that's the vibe the whole chain has going for it. I've never eaten there, always getting food to go, so I can't comment on how dining in is. It is a quick service type place, so I can't see anyone really wanting to eat there anyway. Looking for a healthy lunch with the fam and it was definitely not worth our $43. Our order took quite sometime to prepare without any special requests and no pending orders ahead of us. When we finally got our sandwiches, my husbands King Cesar (hold the chicken) was loaded with it. The chicken tasted like the meatless protein we substitute with.
