I get the same thing every time I come here. A peanut power plus chocolate and it's usually fine. This time however, I don't know what they forgot or did wrong, but the consistency was off, the color was off, and the taste was wrong. It tasted like banana water. I asked and was given some attitude and told by the woman that she made it herself and it looks fine to her. I ended up dumping it, it's so bad. read more

So I have visited this location on a few occasions because the gyms smoothies are way too small for the price. This last time I visited, has sealed the deal on this location. I won't be back. Let me start off by saying that the store front is clean. But this says nothing to the back of the house. I say this bc each time I have visited, their smoothies have been off taste wise. It literally taste as if the fruit has spoiled or whatever they scoop in the blender. I have tried them during the day and in the evening. Each & every time this same taste. Now when I visit other locations, this is not the case. These are franchised out(their not owned by the same person) You can't just go to another Smoothie King and get a different one. You must go back to that location so make sure you taste it before you leave. I hate that this location is like this because it's really convenient but I'll drive further to get a better tasting smooth. For $7 you don't want to be questioning what your drinking. Service- typically slow, anytime after 6pm nothing is stocked you'll wait 25 min for a smoothie on a Friday if not pre ordered. Even then you'll wait. This place thrives because there isn't another one for miles. Otherwise these place would be closed. read more

Always have a great experience here. The staff is polite and knowledgeable. Any of the smoothies' ingredients can be tweaked too, if there's something you don't care for. They have a good selection of healthy grab & go drinks & snacks too. But be warned- their sizes are HUGE. The small smoothie is what most places would call at least a medium or large. read more

Easily the worst smoothie king I've been to. The guy at the register was 0 help. He knew nothing about the smoothies and when I asked about them he'd just say "Uhm idk I don't get that one". When I tried ordering one he kept mumbling and I seriously had no idea what he was asking me. When I finally got my smoothie it was the wrong one ‍. Won't be going to this location again. Large, larger, largest - the only way to describe the three sizes Smoothie King offers for their delicious smoothies. This was a quick stop on the way home a couple weeks ago close to closing time. Despite closing up in about five minutes, the workers were still quick, friendly, and accommodating. I can't justify dessert in a cup - I'd rather have fresh fruit and juice, not ice cream, yogurt, fixins, etc... Smoothie King has a ton of choices to suit everyone's needs. Their expansive menu is sure to please. I tried the "Light and Fluffy" and blushed when ordering it, wishing it had a more manly name. It's bananas, strawberries, and OJ. Very refreshing, but still nearly 400 calories for a 20 ouncer. It's something I would have rather had in a smaller cup - maybe 16 ounces. Two medium smoothies and we shelled out nearly 14 bucks. This seemed a little steep for fruit, juice, and ice. The quality was still really good and we even saved some for the next morning - god knows we had enough left over. For the most part the smoothies are really good! They have so many choices that it is often difficult to decide what to get! In addition, they have lots of incentives to lower the costs; and, they have an app that allows you to create your smoothie ahead of time on your phone and send it to them! It's pretty cool and will save you a bunch of time! The only thing that could bring this to a full five out of five is if they used 100% fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. I really wish that more smoothie places used fresh rather than frozen items. Lastly, if you are eating there for health reasons, make sure you keep an eye on the sugars and calories that go into the smoothies-they add up fast! Overall, I like this place! read more

I have been coming here since 2009, lately there has been a non stop revolving door of new people working here every week almost, I used to know the employees by name and vice versa. The last few times I have come in for my bi weekly hulk and it was not made correctly and without my enhancers. The young man and young woman gave me the "eye roll" when I asked them to fix my 10$ shake. Now there is a sign that says "the world is short staffed, be kind to who showed up" I am going to post a sign that says "the world is broke, if we pay you 10+ $ to make our shakes, staff your business with the right people". This place is perfect for the blazing hot summer days we've had in KC recently. It's pretty much guilt-free since all the ingredients have fruit, yogurt, or vegetables. Best of all--it's a great price, you get so much more than what you think! Like the other reviews pointed out, a small is like a medium. I can never finish the smoothie myself, so my boyfriend and I just buy one cup for the two of us. The staff is quite friendly, and it's pretty clean inside. If you look around, they also sell an intriguing selection of dietary supplements if you're into that. A bit pricy though. Overall, their smoothies are awesome--just be wary of any smoothies with banana in it! It will overpower the smoothie and make it taste only like a banana (at least in my experiences). Finally found a smoothie place to replace my love for Booster Juice since moving to the United States. They have something for everyone here. The menu is large and anything can be tweaked to fit your needs. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. You get what you pay for here - their sizes are huge! The app to text in what you want from your phone if you are on your way there is also a pretty cool feature, though I have not used it yet. read more

I love smoothie king! We don't have any back home in Michigan, but we have something similar. And yet, it doesn't compare to smoothie king! There is such a wide variety of smoothies and modifications to your smoothies its a hard choice every time I walk in. So far my go-to smoothies have been the Lean1 smoothies (preferably the tropical one)! It's delicious and around 300 calories for the small and it's just so good! The small is like a medium, the medium like a large, and the large like a extra large. The portions are huge, I barely finish my small. They do have 5$ Friday's which you can get any medium smoothie for 5$ which is awesome! The service is fast and easy. The smoothies here are great and the employees are very friendly! There are soooooo many flavor options + enhancers. I come here if I want a smoothie to hold me over post workout. They even do frontflip so you can scan that barcode for a chance to get some freebies! The portions here are pretty freaking huge. Their small is what would be a medium at most businesses.
