She repeated it back correctly although it was a bit hard to understand with her accent. When we get up to the window, my partner held out my phone to be scanned for POINTS only. She snatched my phone, closed the window, & checked SCAN TO PAY. We tried to get her attention, but of course we were ignored. We were so shocked when she came back with my phone & said, "You don't have to pay." We always hand over my phone with his card, but she took the phone, ignored his outstretched hand holding the card, & changed my setting. I knew the order would be wrong & of course we received a Strawberry Hulk instead, but we no longer wanted to interact with her, My phone has never been taken out of my sight by a stranger before. I waited an additional 10 minutes only to be told they never received my order. I showed them my email confirmation and they proceeded to look through several tickets to find mine at the bottom. We have come here three times and each time there was a different issue. We placed an order online for two strawberry kiwi breeze for pick up. When we got to the speaker they said they were out of strawberries and wouldn't let us substitute a different smoothie. $17 down the drain and they told us they couldn't give us a refund and that we needed to call smoothie king. We called multiple times and still have not gotten any kind of refund. We came back and this time ordered at the drive through to avoid the online order mess. This time they didn't have any kiwi juice but no worries we hadn't paid yet. So we ordered two different smoothies. My girlfriend has a peanut allergy, which means I have a peanut allergy and we always ask for the allergy bowls. The girl working the drive through seemed to have no idea how to handle a food allergy and 0 idea what an allergy bowl even is. After explaining smoothie kings food allergy accommodations to the smoothie king employee we got our smoothies. They were quite honestly some of the worst smoothies we've ever gotten from any smoothie king location. This morning we (foolishly) thought that the third time might be the charm. We were wrong. They again didn't know what the allergy bowls were and our smoothies were somehow around $2 more than they usually are with no price increase listed on the menu. The smoothies were barely blended and tasted completely like protein powder. The smoothie was already separating within the first 2 minutes of the drive home. My straw gets clogged with every sip because of the massive chunks of fruit left unblended. We always take advantage of the free upsize Friday deal and I gave the girl working the drive through my phone with the reward loaded up. She just immediately ran my card without telling me an updated total and offered no receipt. When I checked my bank account I saw that I was charged without the reward applied and it somehow was a different price again. Another $8 down the drain. We'd call smoothie king support but we don't feel like playing phone tag for an hour again just to not get a refund. Overall - DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY FOOD ALLERGIES!!! - You have to call ahead to check And make sure they have each individual ingredient in stock if you want the right smoothie - Do not come here expecting to get the same price for the same item each time. We just came through the drive thru to get smoothies from here and the men working in there were very unfriendly and zero effort to give any kind of customer service when we were trying to be friendly, we ordered multiple peanut butter smoothies with strawberry and when they came out they were the seriously most disgusting smoothie I've ever tasted...it tasted like watery peanut butter with no added strawberry. I do appreciate the drive thru lane making it super convenient for me to get a smoothie. I am a strawberry lover, so I tried the strawberry xtreme. It was flavorful and I enjoyed it. I didn't have to wait very long either. We also tried a chocolate peanut butter smoothie. It was the greatest. I went here after my dentist appointment earlier today around 4pm and had a solid experience. The interior of the store was clean, there was nobody in line so I could order right away and the young man Cameron was very friendly & helpful. I got the banana boat smoothie & enjoyed it. I really want to love this location. I stop here for the convenience of it being on my way to work. Not only is half their menu not on their online order menu but these people are always so rude. No personality whatsoever. You have a job in customer service?! I came in this morning as I do every weekend to not only seeing 2 girls sitting around on equipment and eating personal food. I walked up to place my order and they acted like I was inconveniencing their snack time. There was a lot of half eaten personal food in plain sight of customers as well, pretty that's a health code violation. This is my go-to place when I want to fuel up with a smoothie! They have a variety of smoothies to choose from and a lot of additional options to give your smoothie an extra boost! They always provide excellent service and make the smoothies FAST! They also have a drive-thru behind the building. I also utilize their app to build up reward points for discounts and you can even setup your credit card to automatically pay when you use the app when you order. The only reason that I didn't get them 5 stars is that I don't think that it's appropriate to ask if you want to leave a tip with your order. On some level, I agree with the person who wrote about their tipping experience. Having a tip jar at the window is fine, but I'd really not like to be asked if I'd like to leave a tip, especially if I don't even know who is making my smoothie. My family visits this location quite often. For the most part, service is pretty good. However, when it's close to closing time, they are the worst. I've pulled up through the drive-thru lane at 8:40PM on a weeknight and have been told that they aren't taking any more orders and that they're closing. Mind you, they're not supposed to close on weeknights until 9PM. The young lady relented at the time when I challenged the fact that we had already been in the drive-thru lane line for over 15 minutes before getting to the ordering spot. When leaving, after getting three large smoothies, we came to find out that every single one of those smoothies was not made correctly. My wife left a scathing review on the survey site and asked someone in management to contact her regarding our experience. To this day, nobody has contacted her. Just now, on a Sunday evening whereas they're supposed to close at 8PM, I pulled into the drive-thru lane at 7:50PM and was told by the person over the ordering PA that they were closed for the evening. There were no other vehicles before or after me. I was upset and drove around to the front just to verify their closing hours, which it was posted that Sunday closing is supposed to be at 8PM. Looking into the store, it looked like staff had been cleaning their areas for some time to prepare to leave as early as possible after the official closing time. I'm pretty upset as a regular customer whose family spends a lot of money at this location. It appears that management either doesn't care about how customers are treated or they are not training their employees to take their jobs seriously from the start of their shift until the very end, or both. This smoothie king is about average compared to all the other ones I've been to. All the people complaining about "I was here 10 seconds before closing why didn't they take my order??" Or "How dare they ask if I'd like to tip??" Need to realize that actually, contrary to what their entitled selves may believe - the smoothie king employees are not being rude- THEY are. These people are in there working all day for probably low hourly wages, and smoothie king probably relies on the generosity of people with tips to pad that wage. So consider what they're doing, would YOU want to continue to make complicated drinks for ungrateful customers late at night? Going through the drive thru drives me absolutely insane. Not only do they ask if you would like to leave a tip when you pay with a card, but they ask for a tip when paying with CASH. They are not servers. They are getting paid hourly. I find it very rude to ASK for a tip.
