The store was extremely clean and looked to be appealing to a more sporty, fitness-minded customer. Not only that, but their menu of options not only included low-calorie options but protein and other nutritional supplements as well. I was all over it! I requested that the honey be served on the side for the toast I purchased, but it was added on top. When I mentioned it, the employee became defensive, and the manager said they could get written up for putting anything "on the side." I had no issue paying extra for a small cup--but honey should not be added after a customer specifically requests it off. Disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer care. I usually come to this location often & have no complaints but tonight my gladiator was so watery b4 I walked out the door I asked the girl to thicken it up, she put More ice in it and reblended my same gladiator and gave it back to me and it was still watery and now it had no flavor at all, I just walked out the door because I just had a long day at work and didn't want to make nobody's night messed up I won't be returning to this location read more

Service was extremely slow - I ordered on the app 20+ min prior to arriving at the store and still had to to wait 15-20 min

What a joke. Took a minute for anyone to come out from the back when we walked in. Finally a girl comes out, and literally just stares at us from behind the register. Not even a simple "Hi" Then a male employee walks out and stares at us as well- no greeting, let alone a smile- nothing. My husband and I just look at each other and left. This was my first time visiting Smoothie King and I must say that I will not be back. My smoothie was amazing but half way through me drinking my smoothie I found not one, not two but three long strands of hair inside my smoothie. Disgusting!!!! Yes! Smoothie King is back in da region. I actually really had the taste for (don't hate me - Jamba Juice but they have been closed for some time) anyway I just wanted a smoothie. It wasn't too much to ask for...right? Well, I was in the area and I saw this just popped up! This location is great. Thumbs up for putting this next to a Jimmy Johns. The service was great with a few employees really to bodyslam our order. I forgot about how big their sizes were. ( I posted a picture of my medium!) I wanted something fruity and then asked the employee to aid with what she suggested. She did not point me in the wrong direction. I highly recommend checking out this new location. I hope the awesome outdoor area gets used and the location is kept up with. They definitely have trained their employees. Keep it up! read more

I just left this location. I told the young lady that I wanted to create a smoothie. I was joking but before I could let her know, she went to the back to get assistance. This young guy comes out, notifies me that I could not. I explained I was joking. He proceeded to explain their policy in this unnecessarily formal tone. Again I say, dear, I am playing, I know the rules. He watched me order then left. He came back out, mopped the floor, then began to make my smoothie. I asked him to wash his hands, he refused and walked off. Now we are in the middle of the pandemic, and you're in food service. Wash your hands!!!!! Smoothies are back I Merrillville. Very good. Large selection. They offer a ton of vitamin and energy add-ons. The prices are good and the have a points app. The service was great and they helped us navigate the large menu. read more

Wow. Walked in here because it was closer to work. But will go out of my way to get my smoothie from St John from now on. The employee was so rude for no reason. I ordered a off-the-menu smoothie with one enhancer. The guy was really put out I was using the app, I guess. Or just that I was alive and there. Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. The guy was spraying a wall right in front of open containers of the people's smoothies being made with chemicals. Cleaning a wall while smoothies are being made should never happen. We also were the first to order and I ordered 2 and asked the girl which one she handed to me and she didn't even know, even tho she had the order sheet on the blender she made. So after I got my first smoothie my other smoothie should of been made but instead they made my other one last after everyone else in the place got one. Absolutely love this place. Been here a few times now and they have great service! My favorite smoothie I've gotten there is the Pineapple Surf, but I also like the Strawberry-Kiwi Breeze. Huge smoothies for a great price too! In my pictures I added, I got a large Pineapple Surf and it's a lot of smoothie for $8.60. Fresh ingredients, efficient service, and tasty smoothies.
