Bad service, smoothie was barely drinkable, took forever, straw was bent in half and not usable.

The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, and I loved that they took the time to decorate so nicely for the holiday. The inside was done really well and made the whole place feel even more welcoming. The service was undeniably great. The girl handling the coffee told me "my pleasure" when I asked for a half cup on my refill, which stuck with me because it was such a small but genuine touch. Our waitress was also very easygoing and pleasant, and she made the meal that much better. The coffee was spectacular, and the food was outstanding. The waffle was absolutely magical. Everything about this visit made me want to come back, and I already can't wait to try lunch next time. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

The atmosphere is nice and the place looks like it wants to be a solid neighborhood spot, but the execution just isn't there. The coffee was mediocre at best -- not awful, just bland and forgettable, especially for a café that clearly takes itself seriously. Drinks came out lukewarm and lacked flavor, like they were rushed or poorly measured. Service was polite, but slow and unorganized. Nothing outright rude, just a lack of attentiveness and urgency that makes the whole experience feel sloppy. Prices don't match the quality, which is probably the biggest letdown. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because the space itself is decent and there is potential here. But until the coffee improves and service tightens up, it's not a place I'd go out of my way to return to.

We arrived late lunch hour and though busy were seated quickly. The place was still quite full and there was low music in the background. It wasn't too long before our orders were taken, Special Club #1 over easy for hubby, the Seafood Benedict (shrimp) for me. Rather than hashbrowns, I opted for fresh fruit. I've ordered this before, the good experience outweighed any negative and gotta say this time was excellent. Hubby enjoyed his meal as well (he usually orders a 2+2+2--we think that's turkey--or chicken?--sausage) and the prices are moderate. The fresh fruit was amazing. Not a tiny sample size serving, but enough to split with hubby and we both enjoyed. Our server was appropriately attentive, not overly so, and the wait was not long. We were very happy with the experience this time and regret not getting pics.

She was so amazing and attentive, she managed to keep us all fed and watered before the generational disagreements could escalate into a full-scale food fight. Everyone genuinely enjoyed their meal, which is proof Sarita is a sorceress. We will absolutely be making this a tradition every year we're in Indiana. Next time, I'm asking Sarita if she's free to officiate our family's Thanksgiving dinner, too.

Let me tell you the coffee is a star so many times I'll go into a place and I don't like the coffee. here it is delicious. It reminds me of a place back home that we used to go to before they closed. So as far as checkboxes go, I've been checking a lot of them here they have Texas toast. They have homemade potatoes not that frozen store-bought garbage they have friendly weight staff and a lot of regulars. That's a good sign when you're looking at a breakfast spot. We have it for a skillet with the usual sausage, bacon, onions, homemade potatoes, etc. I also ordered Texas toast and the sausage gravy on the side. The food came within 10 minutes. It was piping hard and religious. We split it so they had it into separate plates, which was a very nice touch as I've gotten older. I appetite is not what it used to be so it's plenty of food to share with my wife . It came with three eggs, which was very generous. I ordered over medium and they came out. Perfect I ordered potatoes crispy and that's how they came out. Perfect. Everything was delicious. I don't normally get five stars on reviews, but they've earned it. This is a great place I just wish they were closer. It's about a 25 minute drive but it's well worth the drive Not a bad drive either. It's a cute little spot in the coffee is just delicious. I'm excited to try it for lunch as the cook Dimitri is Greek. I wonder if he makes any Greek specialties like moussaka . So let's recap delicious Kona, coffee a variety of creamers and jellies on the table red gold ketchup, and Cholula hot sauce. Prices are inexpensive. Food is delicious. Service is impeccable five stars.

The interior is tiny but the seating options are more plentiful than it would seem! The interior is lovely and there is a beautiful mural of the lake county fairgrounds that deserves to be admired. My only suggestion would be to perhaps consider changing their television programming. Regardless of political views I can't imagine many customers want to come to brunch and watch Fox News. It makes the brunch experience feel a little too much a truck stop diner vibe. The music was nice so either eliminate the tvs all together or throw on something more pleasant. For food we went with the chicken fried steak sandwich and a Mexican skillet. I appreciate that the avocados were all very fresh! Overall it was very good. The sandwich was huge and so delicious!

I ordered a gyro and the indifferent waitress (who is always in the place acting agitated) tells me "we're out of gyros". We walked out. I used to see the owners every visit but now it appears the kids have taken over and are determined to ruin the place. We have probably eaten here 50 times or more over the years but yesterday was the last visit with these numbskulls. Right down the street is "Greek Islands"...better food, nicer people. Mainstreet is a trainwreck and the kids don't even realize they've run it off course.
