Even though I'm visiting from California and only in Murfreesboro a few times over the past four years, Smoothie King has quickly become a must-visit spot whenever I'm in town! The service here is consistently top-notch, and the smoothies are incredible. As a huge banana fan, I've added bananas to my order both times, and they get it right every single time. My sister joins me on these visits, and since she's lactose intolerant, we really appreciate how accommodating and varied their menu options are for her dietary needs. On our recent visit, we weren't super hungry, but the advertised photo of the avocado toast topped with sliced egg and chili pepper flakes looked too good to pass up. We decided to share it, and it turned out to be the perfect light breakfast paired alongside our smoothies. The service was spot on. I ordered online and it was ready a couple of minutes before time. Today I got my smoothie free thru the app. It was a very tasty almond berry glp-1 smoothie. I think it is made for people on the new glp-1 meds. It was very good and I would order it again. The ratio of strawberry and blueberry was perfect. If you ask for something (ie granola) that you PAY extra for, you somehow get less than someone who got something without an addition. The person at the register couldn't figure out how to add granola on a smoothie bowl that doesn't have it on, and said that I couldn't add it, but at another Smoothie King in the same town, I do it all the time. She ended up asking someone how, which is fine, but then when I got it, it's half empty!! You can visibly see the difference even when my husband's bowl is far away in the picture. And there is only 1 size for a smoothie bowl, there's no small, medium, large option. For $26 for two smoothie bowls, this is crazy. The other Smoothie King on Church Street is way better. We were nearby and love the smoothie bowls, so that's why we went to this location. I will not be returning to this location if they do not treat everyone the same way. Just because you don't know how to work the register at your own job, doesn't mean you should be spiteful to customers that kindly ask for a simple addition. read more

So many smoothies places to chose from. But no matter what. I still come back to smoothie king. You just can't bet the rewards and freebies points you rack up. The price you pay you get more then what other places offers. They have many different varieties and add on that other places just does not fit my needs. I been in here many times. It can be a bit confusing at first cause they keep upgrading and changing the looks of the menu, but once you figure out what you want to order. You put your order in the front counter. We are from CA and we enjoy going to Jamba Juice once in a while, but we have fallen in love with Smoothie King. My daughter says it is WAY better. I've been here quite a few times and the more I learn about them and interact the less likely I am to go back. The issues I have are in the added sugar and fruit substitutes. First, the sugars in these are crazy! They add "turbinado" which is just another name for sugar to fruit smoothies. Why? Fruit already has a boat load of natural sugar! I counted 33 smoothies that had over 75 grams of sugar at only 20 ounces! Several over 100 and one at 125 grams of sugar for 20 ounces of smoothie. I normally order meal replacements, specifically the Lean1 Chocolate. At 32 ounces it has 24 grams of sugar (maybe half from the banana.) That's one of the best for low sugar, but still about a day's worth of sugar. If sugar is an issue, remove the banana. But if you order regular smoothies make sure you say no turbanado! Fruit has enough sweets. (Stay away from the "take a break" smoothies, which are basically dessert.) Also, the coupons are difficult to use. If you go on a day where there is a promo, like Friday where it is $5 for 32 oz smoothies or $6 for 32 meal replacements, you can't use your points to reduce cost. Everyone is nice here in my experience. But I'm just falling more out of love with the ingredients. read more

I have visited this location several times, at least a few times a week here recently. I pay close to $10 for my smoothie, which is expensive, but I obviously find it worth it if I visit so much - that is, if the smoothie is actually filled to the fill line, which quite often, it's not. Today I asked the girl to fill up my smoothie more. I was hungry and this was going to be my dinner and I didn't want to be short changed today. She filled it a little more with what was in the blender, but it still was not filled all the way. She asked if it was better and I replied "I guess" because I didn't want to ask her to fill it again. She picked up on my aggravation and poured the smoothie back into the blender and added more stuff in it to mix it again. A guy who was working with her asked her if it was filled to the fill line and she said "yes" and I said " um, no it wasn't." And she said "it was close." And I replied, "it's a 10 dollar smoothie!!" If I'm paying that much for a smoothie, I'm expecting to actually get what I'm paying for, but what upset me the most was her attitude about the whole thing and the fact that she flat out lied in front of me and then argued about it. What happened to good customer service? I wasn't asking for anything that I wasn't willing to pay for. I'd rather take my business to where my money is appreciated and I'm valued as a customer. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. HORRIBLE customer service. My mother had purchased a smoothie for me and brought it home. After taking a sip, I realized the smoothie was wrong. My mother had already left, to return to work. So I drove the the nearest Smoothie King (not sure if it was the original location) I figured since I still had the entire smoothie, they would have no problem remaking it for me. I approached the first worker and told her the situation. She happily agreed to remake it and entered in the order. I then asked her if I should just throw the smoothie away, and she told me yes. After waiting almost 10 minutes, someone else finally talked to me and she asked which location it was from. I told her how my mom purchased it, so that I wasn't sure. She then asked me to text my mom and to find out. I was hoping my mom hadn't made it back to work yet, so she could answer. Another 10 minutes go by and they continue to clean and whatever. The same girl came back and asked if my mom replied, I said no. She said that I would need to go to the original location. I reminded her that I had already thrown the smoothie away. And if I knew it was going to be a problem, I would've kept it. But again, the first cashier told me they would remake it and confirmed to throw it away. So she said she would go to the back and talk to her manager. After 5 minutes, she comes back out and tells me I needed to take the smoothie out of the trash and take it to the original location.... I was definitely NOT going to dig in the trash. I did not think remaking ONE smoothie would be a huge deal, especially since I brought the entire smoothie back. I remained calm throughout the entire thing, but after she told me to take it out of the trash, I was pissed. They handled the situation totally unprofessional and I will NEVER return to that location. Bad experience. read more

Yummy yum! My craving for Smoothie King is increasing! The staff at this Smoothie King is very personable and patient. I normally order the same smoothie every time (Mangosteen Madness), but I it takes me a while to settle on it (I can be indecisive). Someone always steps in and offer their advice on what each smoothie tastes like. I never feel like they are rushing me. The place is also nice and clean. I went here for the first time a few months ago and since then it has been by far one of my favorite places to go to. I am known by name by all of the staff, and they are all so friendly, knowledgable about their product, and helpful. Their smoothie selection is impecable. They have what I need for any time of the day. When I was on a high protien low carb diet they had the gladiator and when I could eat fruit again I was able to enjoy all of their all natural fruit smoothies without having to worry about high fructose or caloric yogurts like some other smoothie places.
