Visited this location on a UPSIZE FRIDAY, as I like to call it. To be fair, I ordered in the app, so this review is mostly about the quality of the food, the physical location & the customer service. The app: ordering in the app was very easy. Although there are a lot of places to go in the app, it pretty much is straightforward; smoothie bowls, smoothies, nutritional snacks, discount & check out. The value: whether in the app or in the store itself, prices have increased. I get it, supplies are more expensive, less people are going to work, and it's just inflation so you pony up the extra for what you want and you keep it moving. That's exactly what I did this time around. I paid $11.99 for the bowls and because today was "Upsize Friday", as I call it, I got a 32 ounce for the price of a 20 ounce. Three items and my bill was $33 and some change. I feel like we could've sat down and had breakfast for that price. However, I wanted to try to the bowls and I'm glad that I did. The bowls were quite tasty. I believe the one I had was made with açai fruit as the main ingredient and then I tasted some oats and lots of mangoes and some other things like blueberries, and some other deliciousness Definitely checking it off my bucket list, I don't know how many more times I will repeat the purchase but I did enjoy it. The customer service: as I walked in, I do not recall anyone welcoming me to Smoothie King however, I don't know if that is there protocol or policy, so I was unbothered by that. However, entering into the store itself, it smelled quite fruitful and obviously that's understood because of the fruit and all the fixings. I walked over to the pick up area for mobile orders and my order was not there. So I waited because I realized it was 11:05a. My order was not to be done until 11:12a. However, the young lady behind the counter asked me if I was there to pick up an order I told her yes, and she proceeded to push my order out to me. I was in and out lickety-split. Another #StickAndMoveCaper, you know I love these. The OVERALL EXPERIENCE: overall from start to finish, from the time I entered the parking lot to the time I exited the parking lot. This was one of the better experiences at a Smoothie King store. I was able to place my order, skip the line, pick up my ACCURATE order and leave. The store was clean. The parking lot was too. Few spaces in the back for parking so off-street parking may be what you need to do. It is on a corner, so you have quite a few areas to park. I look forward to returning to this location to repeat the same #StickAndMoveCaper.

This place is super close and convenient for me, within walking distance to my home in Mid-City. They have generous servings, the middle size is 32 Oz, perfect. They have an extensive menu, I went with the immune-builder with sweet strawberries, delicious. So good I opted for it 2 days in a row. Would definitely return many times over, the service is attentive and friendly.

Service was quick, the workers were cheerful and the smoothies were great and it was $5 Friday which made it even better. The parking lot is tiny and I drive a pickup and it was a tight fit getting out. If in the area again, this is definitely a place to stop.

Is there such things as bad experiences at any Smoothie King? I mean, other than the possibility of your wait being a heinous one, the place being filthy, or rude customer service....well I guess there are some things that could go wrong, but that's far from the case at this location. Every neighborhood needs a Smoothie King so I was pleased to see one coming to my part of Mid City. It was a quick installation they did with the place. The inside is quaint, as is the parking lot. I believe you can get about five cars in there, but there's no space for opening doors wide. If you're worried about you car getting checked by another door, try parking on the street. Although, people are in and out rather quickly so it shouldn't be a big deal. Fast, friendly service, a menu that seems to be ever-expanding, and pretty healthy smoothies; can't ask for much more.

In here now and it's packed but they're working hard and fast. John was extremely professional and courteous service was above and beyond. Just thought the manager should know.

My favorite time to get Smoothie King is post-workout. Luckily this one is right down the street from my gym. The same person is usually behind the counter. He's friendly and seems to recognize me, which is nice and makes me want to come back. But, unfortunately, the service here is not the fastest. A short line of 2-3 people can add up to a 20-30 minute wait. I'm not sure how operations are supposed to work, but I often wonder why there's usually only one person actually making smoothies when there's other staffers behind the counter? In short... good smoothies, slow service.

They also have a hot plate meal where you can get a rotisserie chicken, two sides, and 6 rolls - feed 4-6 people. (Perfect amount for 3 people sized family in my opinion.). Depends on the portion sizes your family eats. Either way, great last minute meal ideas after a long day of work. Or for your lunch break! The workers are all really polite here, but the checkout line is not fast so make sure to get a basket or cart to make waiting in line easier. The staff, especially at checkout, always seem to be friendly and upbeat, which is nice. The pre-prepared foods, snacks, drink choices, bakery and deli are typically better than most, sometimes better than the larger Whole Foods on Magazine St. here. And, they have an amazing floral section at the back entrance. There's a convenient parking lot that wraps around the back and downtown side of the building, but the spaces can be tight, especially with a SUV size vehicle. This time I grabbed some coffee, bread, brownies, and wine. Unfortunately, I found many of the aisles and sections not stocked very well. The bakery section had very little product as did several other places. Just empty bins and shelves. Hmmmm? It is the beginning of Mardi Gras season so plenty of King Cake and specialty vodka. Nonetheless, I do like this store. Fun fact- this used to be the Bultman Funeral Home, in a classic building on the corner of St. Charles and Louisiana Streets. Yes, indeed, a mortuary as well.

It's conveniently located for me, as in walking distance, and you can't beat that for picking up essentials. Anything to save myself a car ride! While their selection isn't always robust as far as produce goes, they have far more locally- grown items than Whole Foods. I think they strive to offer as much local as possible, whereas these days WF does not, so kudos to them for that. I don't want my tomatoes from Mexico if they are in season here. That said, you may not find everything you're looking for as the selection varies, but I can always count on finding an organic baked potato and I'm not going to find that at Robert's, the neighborhood supermarket. I used to think pricing was super high here, but I no longer feel that way. In fact, they are often cheaper than Robert's, as it seems like they are just pricing for tourists looking to stock their vacation rentals. They have a good selection of vegan items, even locally-made cheeses and meats, in addition to the commercial brands. And if you hit it at the right time, there's locally-made vegan baked goods, too. They have a modest wine and beer selection but still convenient if you need it. I think the neighborhood should support the Food Co-op. When it first opened, there was all this strange begrudgement around it, "we wanted a real supermarket," but when that so-called "real" supermarket opened it was a bit of an eye-opener for most of us ($7 for OJ five years ago was unheard of, but of course most of us wouldn't bat an eye in this economy).

This review is on the service deli sliced meats…read more Tuesday afternoon shopping. Store had a reasonable number of people but not crazy busy and no one waiting at the sliced meat counter. Decided to purchase fresh, unique cold cuts for husband's lunch. Opted for Rosemary Ham and Sweet Chili Turkey Breast. Sounds great, right? Not so much. Employee behind the counter was emptying one container of a liquid into another. She didn't see me. I walked away, came back and made a point to get her attention. I placed my order for 1/2 lb each and said I'd be back. I returned in about 5 min and the order was on the counter. I thanked her; no response. Made a sandwich for my husband the next day with the ham. Tasted it and was surprised by the underwhelming taste of rosemary. He remarked the same when I asked him that evening. The ham was fatty, and didn't have any visual evidence of being rosemary seasoned. I even tried a different piece with no luck. The sandwich the next day was with the turkey. It was so shredded I took a picture of it in the bag and out, because I couldn't believe someone expected me to make a sandwich out of it. If it had been my deli counter, I wouldn't have sold it. And since it was a bit dry (maybe it had been unwrapped for a while?), I added extra mayo. Husband commented that evening he didn't get Sweet Chili out of it and it was dry. Turkey was $15.99/lb and ham was $16.99/lb. Husband said next time just buy something in the commercial cold cuts section.
