I was willing to pay seeing there aren't many Heath store options here. I was getting my regular groceries at HEB when I noticed they have the Ezekiel's bread I'd been buying for almost 4 dollars cheaper!! HEB offered a lot of the "raw" stuff is been buying from here for a lot less money. I've started returning to midlands Natural Grocers (I'm in midland every 2-3 weeks) and whatever I can find at HEB, because I'm not willing to pay double for something just because it's one of the very few stores in town. Can't wait for greenies to open this year! Otherwise the new workers are helpful and sweet and the store does provide a lot of wonderful things, just too pricey in my opinion.

We have mainly been CVS pharmacy customers and have now thought about switching to Meyers Drug. NOTE, not a big fan of the Food King grocery store itself. If you haven't tried Meyer Drug I would recommend them for your prescription needs.

A pleasant foodie surprise in San Angelo!…read more I had to come into San Angelo for work and going into the trip, I was not too excited about my food options available to me as a vegetarian...but I did find Buttercup online and it seemed close enough to those "hip, city coffee shops", meaning I should be able to get some decent food! Unfortunately, a lot of their hot sandwich options were off the table since they seemed to have a broken toaster, but I was able to order a hummus veggie sandwich that came with seasoned potato chips, a side salad, and a stick of chocolate. I also got a vanilla cake bite (pop without the stick) and everything was about $18 with tip. I didn't feel like trying any of the drinks, but some of the coffee flavors sounded interesting and they have seasonal flavors too. The ambiance is inviting, and definitely feels like a cozy place for the community to come hang. If you ever find yourself in this part of west Texas, definitely keep this spot in your back pocket for close to healthy eats!
