I did find the prices high, if not unexpectedly so in most cases. I did find strange variation in sale items; some were substantial discounts, while in another case I saw a roughly $8 item "on sale" for twenty cents off, which seems bordering on a sort of unethical deception. The selection of produce was not huge but looked nice; this being Knoxville they had more meat than plants it seemed. Various natural and organic brands popped up. I always try to support the local businesses and I got a few things. This does seem to have a co-op structure so locals who really want to be in regularly might consider buying in.

Huge fan of this Happy Holler staple. Has such a wide variety of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free,…read moredairy-free, and straight from the local farm/vendor goods. The best part, the price is pretty competitive with grocery stores in the area. There is a hot/cold bar to grab lunch and sit in the indoor dining area or outside on their shaded patio. They also have a huge variety of grab-and-go pastas, wraps, salads, and sandwiches and a coffee bar with all the fixin's. The above is all awesome, but I head in here for the bulk items. Have a small amount of a rarely-used spice needed for a recipe? CHECK. Want to grind some fresh almond butter or coffee? GOTCHA COVERED. Dried fruits? YUP! (dried papaya are my family fave). Variety of healthy granolas, grains, and baking items in bulk, too. There is easy parking with their own little lot, friendly service, a discount membership program ($25 per year), and a punch card discount when you use reusable bags. Can't wait to come back.

They had an awesome selection of healthy groceries, snacks, household goods, handmade products, home decor, baby items, and toiletries at the best prices I've seen in town. I was referred here by my mom since she lives nearby. I'm glad I stopped by and picked up a few things. I will definitely be coming back.

If you are wanting to save a few dollars and don't mind almost expired goods, then this place is for you. The place is so cute and well arranged. It smells fantastic too, (Weird, I know.. but hear me out.) This is because she burns incense and makes homemade soaps and the fragrance fills the air. It makes the experience even better. The prices are so good, I always end up spending $20 - $30 and if I would have gotten the same items at a chain store, it would have been $50 - $75. I actually did the math. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. If you have any questions, or are looking for something in particular, they will be sure to answer with a smile. Really, I can't say enough good things about this place. You should totally check it out and support local small business. :)

Some attractions sell an experience…read more Some sell a product. The Apple Barn Cider Mill somehow manages to do both. What started as a simple stop turned into one of the more enjoyable experiences of our trip. The star of the visit was our guide, who took us on a cider journey through the various flavors and offerings. She was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what she was doing. She answered questions, explained the differences between the ciders, and made the tasting experience fun instead of feeling like a sales pitch. And since there's a chance she might somehow see this review: Happy 40th Birthday! Sorry I forgot your name, but your hospitality certainly wasn't forgettable. Now let's talk about the cider. Excellent. There was a large variety of flavors available to sample, making it easy to compare styles and find a favorite. Whether you're new to cider or consider yourself a seasoned enthusiast, there's enough variety here to keep things interesting. After sampling our way through the lineup, we wound up purchasing a glass of the original apple cider and enjoyed it outside. And honestly, that's where the experience really came together. Sitting outside with a fresh cider in hand, playing cornhole and Jenga, enjoying the atmosphere, and slowing down for a little while made for a genuinely relaxing afternoon. No rushing. No crowds pushing you along. Just good cider and good company. We also picked up a growler to bring back to the hotel because one thing became very clear during the tasting process: leaving empty-handed would have been a mistake. The Apple Barn Cider Mill does a great job creating an experience that's welcoming, fun, and memorable without feeling overly commercialized. Great cider. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Five stars. And judging by the growler currently waiting back at the hotel, I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
