All I'm gonna say is it's $100 to get your CNA certificate for a reason I was placed with a mentor…read morethat was a CNA and she was the worst. She literally sat there and abandoned me multiple times she took out a residents call light from the socket. She literally set me up and told me that the juice machine was for the employees as well, and I also told her was the food for the employees she said no. She also left me with a resident on the toilet for me to bathe her by myself, i'm in training why would you do that? So when I seen her take out that call light I immediately wanted to tell somebody because if anything would've happened to that resident, I would've been questioned as well. The second day of clinical I was paired with a nicer CNA and she got in trouble for an accident that wasn't really her fault and she was so scared having your employees be that scared is a red flag. You don't want your employees to be that scared working with you, but you don't want them knowing that you're weak neither so I started to feeling pain so I sat down someone that's a RN whatever she was came up to me rude talking about you can't sleep here. I replied and said if I was sleeping, I would not be able to hear what you just said she said are you getting smart? I repeated what I said and she said where is your CNA? I said I don't know. Go find her, why did she report me to the higher up when I tell you the higher up, her name is dawn so disrespectful so rude she didn't care not one bit. She didn't want an explanation she did not want to solve anything in a respectful professional way that's why they lack CNA's and the employees are scared to work there she wasn't professional. She gave zero care. She didn't want an explanation. She didn't give out no warnings. You can tell this person was a relative or her favorite. She was looking for a case to terminate me, she couldn't really find one until her reporter told her that I didn't want to get on the elevator with the girl I had the conflict with that's when she said oh that's it you're done like are you serious that's insane. I was waiting for my ride in the lobby, it's this one lady her name is Ginny I can guarantee you she uses street substance. She throw me out into the snow while I was sitting quite and respectful in the lobby talking about there has been reports saying that I was using foul language another lie.

Not recommended for skilled nursing/rehab. Their therapy assistants are inexperienced or lazy…read morenever providing 2 hours of skilled nursing therapy/day as expected. They overdosed Mom on Gabapentin and didn't titrate her Oxycodone. Then they ignored the family's warnings that Mom was overmedicated and hallucinating. They gave Mom Flexeril and Oxycodone but ignored the surgeon's warning to ensure they titrated the amount so as to not interfere with therapy. The PT/OT notes consistently show Mom was having trouble staying awake but no one took action on it. No labs were ordered, no bladder scans conducted. Just everyone looking the other way because I suppose "someone else will take care of it". The CNAs didn't report the foul, repulsive smell coming from Mom's bottom that resulted from the residual urine. It took a trip to a rheumatologist and a urologist to get an MRI, ultrasound, and labs to finally figure out Mom was suffering from backed up kidneys due to her inability to empty her bladder. All they had to do was regular bladder scans knowing she had a history of urine retention, incontinence, and UTIs (UTI that once resulted in sepsis). Then they denied her Medicare benefits because she wasn't progressing. I thought that was illegal after Jimmo v Sebelius. Not only did they deny her Medicare benefits, but they made it so that she couldn't even go back to her husband and home at her assisted living apartment! They claimed she needed two people to help her with transfers (though in reality, she only needed one and the CNAs admitted as much to me) which barred her from returning home. Plus they discharged her from PT/OT so there was no hope of getting her stronger to get her home. Their social worker, Sarah, should be avoided too. She didn't return phone calls in a timely manner, neglected to prepare a discharge plan (so all of this came as a complete surprise to me), didn't charge Medicare as requested, asked me for FAX numbers, and asked me if Mom could go back to assisted living, as if I would be suddenly aware of Eventide's new restrictions on Mom and also be aware of the assisted living's policy regarding Mom's newest and unexpected restrictions. I actually thought that was the social worker's job. Total waste. Mom hated the food and they managed to lose her clothes repeatedly. We made several trips to Eventide to bring her more clothing. Over a week after we got her transferred out of there, Eventide called to say they found some of her clothes. Once I got a phone call from an Eventide nurse on Mom's wing. She told me Mom refused to take some meds and was calling her, the nurse, a liar. After about 10 minutes of conversation regarding stool softeners and bowel movement frequency, this nurse finally realized she called me by mistake and meant to call a different patient's family member. In the end, Eventide Fargo caused a completely avoidable family crisis. They cost me money in plane tickets, rental cars, lodging and food while trying to manage the situation they created. I strongly recommend Villa Maria for rehab instead. They have far more experienced therapists, assistant therapists, nurses, social workers, and admissions counselors. Villa Maria accomplished what Eventide Fargo failed to do.

We had problems here from the beginning. I've heard good things about other facilities and about…read moreindependent living at the West Fargo facility, but West Fargo's Memory Care is really badly run and seriously understaffed. Their saying is "If we don't know we can't grow." We let them know and let them know. Each time they'd respond that they'd let the team know. Things never changed. I've never worked so hard with so little result. Management doesn't care. It's a nice looking facility but the care is poor. Please talk to the families of residents before you put your loved one in there. We got our loved one out of there and we are SO happy with his care at the new facility. Ask how many head nurses they've had in the last five years. It's a revolving door. All the RNs run away. And New Perspective management, please don't tell me on here that you're sorry to hear this. We expressed our concerns to you over and over to no avail. Fix the problem.

Also, I can't volunteer there. VOLUNTEER!!! The elderly are something I'm extremely passionate about and the fact that I can't even still go see them and give back like I want is awful. It's awful to deny a person to volunteer. Also, in Betty harbor the residents are not paid attention to and they're so short staffed because there's not enough pay (even though they're for profit) so everyone quits. Overall, not good, I would not have my grandparents live here
