Precise, well-designed, unfussy, harmonious, felt very Swedish. Wanting to keep that calm Sunday morning feeling yet needing to be alert for an all-day swim meet, we stopped for coffee nearby, almost directly across from Sonoma Valley High School. Småstad Coffee Roasters is a tidy shop with cafe tables inside and a large wood table on the terrace. They welcomed me warmly as soon as I stepped inside. I chose a large cardamom brown sugar latte and 2 small cardamom, lingonberry and black currant cakes ($4) that were dense but moist and surprisingly filling. Were they milk cakes? I should have asked. The latte was lightly sweet with a kiss of cardamom. I recommend this little shop tucked away off the main road. There's a private drive out front.

Coffee, service and the ambience is perfect for me on Saturday morning here. It was so quiet and enjoyed sipping my coffee. The staff were nice and patience and I felt welcomed. I liked it here.

With a new baby I don't get out as far or as much as I used to, but when I do get out, I try to pack in as many stops as possible before meltdown or blowouts. Thankfully on a trip out to Sonoma I was able to stop in at småstad and it was such a good experience! We were able to get front row parking in their semi private lot on a gorgeous fall day, and getting in and out of the cafe with the baby was a breeze. I had a lovely time chatting with the friendly folks behind the counter before we settled on a morning glory muffin, a berry baked cake and a maple espresso tonic. After ordering we sat out on the patio and said man, Sonoma county really is epic in the fall. Basic fall y'all. Love it. The food and drink came out super fast and presentation was pretty. We started with the pastries which were moist and flavorful, and even the baby had some berries to quench her palate. The tonic however was out of this world. The espresso and the maple and the tonic were expertly paired, toasty, sweet, zesty, and man did that drink hit the spot. If this was closer to me, it would be dangerous! Prices were what you'd expect from a craft roaster and cafe, and I don't mind paying a little more for really good. This is really good. Can't wait to come back when I can stay a bit longer, and you better bet I'm getting that espresso tonic!

Lots of good stuff on the menu!

I had the pleasure of visiting this adorable Swedish-inspired cafe in Sonoma, California while I was in town for a Ferrari event at the Sonoma Raceway! We drove by the coffee shop, saw the Swedish flag and had to go in! They had an impressive assortment of fresh Swedish pastries, delicious coffee, a lot of Swedish sma goodis (small candy in Swedish) for sale, cheerful staff, and cozy ambiance. And we got to meet and chat with the owner, Victor, who was very pleasant. I'm so happy we stopped in this gem of a cafe.

Coffee vibes. Mug with drip coffee

We stopped at Smastad twice for our morning coffee and pastry while on a quick getaway to Sonoma for our anniversary. Both times we were very pleased with the service, food and coffee. The first day I had the berry coffee cake and chocolate biscotti. Delicious. The second day I had the berry coffee cake again. Both times I had the drip coffee which was bright and fresh. I think they even had heavy cream as opposed to half and half which I love. My husband had an oat milk mocha the first time, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He doesn't love super sweet drinks and this one was perfect. She said they use a dark chocolate syrup for their mochas and a little bit packs a big punch. He also had the blueberry muffin on day two and the cardamom muffin on day one, both of which were delectable. The space was kitschy and not crowded. The vibe was very community friendly. We'll be back !

This little Swedish coffee shop is a local favorite. Its combination of delicious small-batch roasted coffee offerings, assorted traditional Swedish bakery items, and Scandinavian design vibes are like a big morning hug. Easy parking (lot behind the shop) and outside tables make it an easy do for parents with strollers. Dog friendly outside.

This is a cozy neighborhood coffee shop with a Swedish flair. They have delicious pastries and a cute casual patio outside. We tried a morning glory muffin and it was fabulous! We will be back soon.

Independent coffee shop near the Sonoma square. They have a parking lot and seating inside and outside. The shop is Swedish themed with some Swedish baked goods and candy. Friendly little cozy business and a good choice for coffee and tea drinks.

I live nearby and while I primarily enjoy my tea at home, I occasionally stop by Smästad for a coffee, tea and/or pastry. Delicious seasonal beverages and the pastries are fresh every morning, made onsite. Grateful I can bring my own mug for my drinks. The shop also has great swag for sale if you're a fan of Swedish design, folklore and style. Always makes me happy to see folks enjoying the outside tables, meeting with friends or family or working on a warmer day. (There is also a nice small area inside of seating) A great addition to the neighborhood!

Great hot coffee! Service was quick and the drinks are not the typical extra sweet stuff compared to other shops.

I started with the Iced Matcha Fog Latte, and it was fantastic. Super smooth, creamy, and refreshing with that clean matcha flavor that isn't overly sweet or heavy. It's the kind of drink that wakes you up without the usual coffee jitters and feels perfect sitting outside in the sunshine. After that, I tried the Turmeric Latte, which was warm, comforting, and full of flavor. It had a beautiful golden color, a subtle earthy spice, and a smooth finish that made it feel almost like a wellness drink and a treat at the same time. I also grabbed an Almond croissant, and it was exactly what you want with a latte -- flaky, buttery, dusted with powdered sugar, and topped with sliced almonds. Messy in the best possible way. The shop itself has a really cool vibe. The interior is modern with warm lighting, plants, and plenty of seating, and the outdoor patio is perfect on a sunny Napa day if you want to sit back and relax for a bit. Great drinks, great pastries, and a really welcoming atmosphere. Ohm Coffee is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

The service was pretty good, seated fast, pretty attentive with all the tables they had to serve. We ordered a traditional caramel macchiato (it is nothing like a Carmel macchiato that you are thinking of) and a matcha latte. They were pretty but lacking flavor. The Mach was very bitter, but I am sure that's the traditional version in a little bitty shot like glass -not my fave but I was trying to order stuff i wouldn't normally get. ‍ the matcha came in a giant mug, and it wasn't sweet at all and just kinda of plain. For food, we ordered the wagyu steak and eggs. It came with some interesting garlic herby potatoes, a piece of sourdough cut in half, scrambled eggs, 6 slim slices of beef and a little jam of some sort. We also asked for a side of their house made chili crunch. The steak was mediocre, the potatoes tasted a little weird. We enjoyed the bread and eggs the most. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things. I'd come back and try other items. It is a very cute location.
