Came here on a Saturday morning around 9am and majority of the pastries were sold out already. We came here with two dogs and the outdoor patio was perfect. Most of the customers came with their dogs so it was fun to see some of the dogs interacted with each others. I ordered the homemade vanilla bean latte, the mocha and the chocolate croissant. Stopped on the way out of town to wine country. The location is shared with a Mexican restaurant so if you pull in and it looks like the wrong place- look for the small Barking Dog sign. They had good bakery items for breakfast. The muffins looked good. I chose the cinnamon roll. It was good. The cold brew coffee (or their version of) I think they call it flash brewed or something. Unfortunately for me, NO pour overs at this place. I was hoping to get a nice, freshly ground and brewed cup of coffee, but instead I got a cup of coffee from the coffee carafe. It was good, but not what i wanted. I also got to try the espresso, which is pretty good, and I also tried a croissant, which was pretty good and definitively a good choice. Come here is you want unassuming coffee and want to blend in with the locals. Please do not iron your clothes or put gel on your hair. Just roll out of bed and become one with the crowd. read more

Came here for a quick coffee and snack early morning on Saturday. They take social distancing seriously and only allow 5 people in the store at a time. Two people were working at this time and there was already a line. They have a variety selection of pastries that all were tempting. They have a basic coffee menu as well. You'll have to ask for the pastry to be toasted if you want it that way and even then, it wasn't warm enough. The strawberry croissant was soo delicious even when it was room temp. I ordered it because I never seen it before. It looks super sweet with powdered sugar, but it surprisingly was not. It had great flavor and didn't taste like a dessert. The matcha latte was just ok. Not the best I've had but it had the matcha flavor, at least. I didn't see any of the sandwiches or things that others posted which was confusing and quite disappointing, but maybe they only bring that our during lunch hours. Looking for great pastries with a great cup of coffee this place is great! Pastries are always very fresh and tasty. It seems like they only sell them the day of and not old ones. I got a iced caramel latte and it had a great balance of sweetness to coffee. They have now combined with Sonoma eats restaurant and you can buy both things in the same place. They also have the mixology jars ready to just add the alcohol. Prices for coffee and pastries are very reasonable for the area. Will definitely be back for some more yummy pastries. read more

While on a wine tasting vacation and staying in Sonoma I found this great coffee spot. They were very friendly and helpful knowing I was not a regular and from out of town. They didn't rush me and were very patient for my order of 4-8 drinks each day. They are real baristas so they can make any drink and have some great specialties like rose or lavender lattes. I had them make me my favorite mochas and they were great. They also carry delicious pastries they get from a local baker. I got some croissants, chocolate croissant, chocolate almond croissant and muffins. If I lived in Sonoma I would go here everyday. We have been coming here to the restaurant that shares this space and we wanted to try the morning coffee shop. So finally did! The cashier was friendly and took our order and chit chatted with us for a minute. We ordered two red eyes with oat milk. Decent coffee, cute shop and friendly service. The iced coffee i got was "okay". The best part was the pastries and cookie , which was fresh. The small parking lot was full, so i parked across the street. The staff was polite, but felt like they would rather be chit chatting than dealing with me. One employee attempted to engage with me after i ordered a few pastries but the engagement offered was over and over on something i interested in. To the point of awkward. Instead of trying to switch the topic to something else she kind of just gave up. Um ok. They also have pastries here, but there wasn't a large variety when I went because it was later in the day. I liked that they had both indoor and outdoor seating. They open early and had a great selection- also had samples of the macadamia nut cookies out and I could've literally eaten all of them they were so good. Got a large americano with almond milk (they let you add it in) and sf syrups. For breakfast got the meat sandwich (sausage, egg, cheese, croissant) which hit the spot and was huge- 2 sausage patties, 2 eggs, 2 cheese. Was perfect, service was great and people were nice. I'm not a flavored coffee drinker and love a good black coffee. Unfortunately there was not an option for a pour over. Didn't seem to care that we were there. While waiting a long time for only an already brewed black coffee, I saw they had bags of roasted beans for sale. The earliest roast date was 3+ months earlier. Great spot to stop for coffee and a quick pastry. Everyone was really nice, the coffee menu is basic but solid. The pastry collection is pretty awesome, specifically the cinnamon roll. I got the cinnamon and sugar coated cinnamon roll and it may just be the best cinnamon roll I've ever eaten. I really like that their default milk seems to be oat, I say seems because my latte order was met with, "will oat milk be okay for your latte." And yes, yes it is. I don't have the heart to give them 4 stars, which I feel is correct, but only because of the hours, and more correctly the hours thanks to Covid. The close at 1pm, which kills me personally, but I understand. I haven't looked at why this place is 3.5 stars with the public, this I do not understand for the shop it is. The most incredible blue berry muffins and iced danish and great coffee. I guess people are expecting more of a diner or more protein choices, dunno. I just know whenever I go to the area I have to stop and get a latte and a blue berry muffin or other treat. So we just aren't fans. We came here two days in a row. The coffee was ok. Not amazing, but totally fine Everything else, not so much. On Saturday the pumpkin bread was stale. On Sunday we wanted to try the breakfast sandwiches. The woman told me they were out of everything except pastries. But... then they seemed to have one more sandwich... A good amount of people for a Saturday morning but not too busy! Let me say I am extremelyyy picky when it comes to chai tea lattes. The barista took the time to explain to me how the chai tea lattes were prepared and how the chai was bought locally. The barista even made a deal with me if I didn't like the chai that I could toss it and order something else on the menu! So I crossed my fingers and long behold one of the best chai tea lattes I have tasted in the Bay Area since living here! As you can imagine customer service was absolutely amazing! This is a nice local spot with some great coffee options. We did wish that it had more breakfast options. There was never quiche when we went there and they often only had croissants left by 8am. It is close to a hotel so they could benefit by having some more breakfast options. Otherwise we just got a baked item to go. read more
