Although this salon is listed as natural…read morehair care it may be mainly because of the products not because of knowledge related to hair texture or styles. I went in for a consultation two weeks before my actual appointment the stylist appeared knowledgeable but my results were less than desirable. I can say well after my appointment the dye job was perfect it has lasted longer than most applications. However, I showed a photo of the style I desired and I understand upfront my hair texture may not be the same as the person in the photo. But when you're chopping off your hair the cut should be close to the photo. It was a 'good' cut but, the thinning area on my sides were not considered when 'fading'. During my initial consultation the stylist said washing my hair will help to see the curl pattern it will help determine if I need twist or product for the desired look. None of that happened! My experience is really hard to explain I didn't get what I asked for but I was able to come home and work it out for myself. In the end I got a decent haircut and a good dye job so it wasn't a total bust. Would I go back or suggest this salon of 'natural hair care'? NOPE!

So, I was happy to see this place pop up in my Groupon search, and happier when I realized they are black-owned. I arrived on time, and waited in the car to be texted on when to come in. I appreciated them doing this for safety during this pandemic. Masks were worn and my temperature was also taken. I waited a bit long to be texted, but based on hearing her tell another customer they were running behind, I let that go. Everyone is adjusting to this new normal. Cortney did my brows and I think they came out looking great. I didn't even have to tell her to just do a soft arch and not overpluck them. I think she did one of the best jobs I have seen in years on these brows. I really can't overstate enough how frustrating it is how some of these salons just immediately go to taking off too much of my brow. Cortney was really pleasant, and I didn't have an issue getting an appt right away (no one answered the phone originally - so maybe they were overwhelmed). I think I'll return. I was told by another customer to not have the male do my nails. So when he suggested I go to the chair for my pedicure. I asked who would be performing my services. He said he would, I said that for my nails I prefer a women. He says do you need a women for your pedicure too? I replied it doesn't matter to me. He then informed me that he is the only one that does pedicures in this salon, and if I needed a woman for a pedicure this salon might not be a good fit.....well ok...I reassured him it would not be a problem. Got in the chair for my pedi and let the water circulate until it was cold. I sat and sat while he continued to work on another client. Meanwhile his daughter sat in the chair and chilled; she is also a nail technician. Finally he did the pedicure and he did a quick and efficient job. I was pleasantly surprised. Once done, he informed his wife I was waiting. She continued drilling/filing something in the back....no customers in her chair. So I waited some more. Eventually she told me to come to her chair after he informed her a second time I was waiting. Once in her chair she did a great job. There was no conversation...no pleasantries. She kept repositioning my hands on the elevated stand because I am short and my arms could not reach that far. Very awkward and quiet. Overall, the quality of work is really good. But the atmosphere lacks warmth and the wait is too much. Btw the place is spotless. After this review I am sure I will have to find another place but honest feedback should help a little...js. A little kindness goes a long way.
