Bought a pair of SOP collaboration boots with White's Boots for $700. This was my first purchase from the store. The boots arrived quickly, and I absolutely love them. They look great and feel high quality. The order was supposed to include two pairs of laces and a kiltie. While the laces were included, the kiltie was missing. I reached out to SOP, and Brandon was responsive and said they were in the mail, but they never arrived. It's now been over two months. Really disappointed with SOP. Not a fan of the phone interaction. I came in and bought a jacket from them a year or two ago and they said I could always call in and get measurements of a specific jacket considering the measurements are different (even if theyre the same size and brand). Yes the measurements are posted online but it's also true that each denim item even if it's the same size doesn't measure exactly the same (1-2 inches off) and that's where I was told to call. Whoever answered really didnt seemed to be bothered about my request even though thats what they told me do in person. Even so he decides to say yeah let me call you back and hangs up. These guys are just outright rude and I'd be making sure you guys read all the other negative comments. Obviously the way he handled it I wasnt expecting a call back and that was pretty much the end of the conversation. Even if you go in store they always offer discounts on their website so just be wary. My favorite thing in the e-world is to write rave reviews because I feel too often people only want to bitch about bad experiences. Sadly, my experience with this "snake oil salesman" sham "high end" denim company Snake Oil Provisions is a good old fashioned "customer can F right off" type of review. It all started when I purchased a $425 pair of Standard Straight Sulphuric Black 34x30 jeans, my normal size. They were too small, smooshing my balls in a painful vice grip, I couldn't wear them for more than 5-6 minutes. I explained this to Cake, SOP's customer "service" rep, and they kindly let me return them. Except when received back in Los Angeles, Cake told me: "Unfortunately, I will not be able to take these back. These pants have been worn and are not in new condition." My testicles can attest to the fact that this was patently false. Alas, what could I do. Like a true sucker, I purchased a second pair of $425 jeans at 36x30 and these fit much better. To break them in, I wore them a total of 6-8 times, mostly inside, and they were starting to feel good, and then the crotch exploded. Out of nowhere, a 3" rip in the front crotch area. I contacted Cake again, providing a picture of the explosion. They replied: "Judging by the fades these are pretty worn in. A blow out is to be expected if you wear them often and hard." These had been worn neither often nor hard, so we at least agreed that this shouldn't have happened, but I didn't appreciate the inference that I was lying (I was not lying!). They suggested I pay to send them back, and if upon inspection SOP could tell I was not lying (I wasn't!), then they'd fix them, but if I was indeed a liar I'd have to also pay to have them shipped back. Since they so clearly intentionally misjudged that first pair's wear and tear, I knew they'd once again say "Yeah you're a lying liar who lied you liar" (I wasn't! I was being truthful the entire time!) and I'd be out the two shipping costs. So I took them to Imogene & Willie here in Nashville who are fixing them now. Not surprisingly, Imogene remarked how lightly-worn the jeans were and how surprised they were they the jeans exploded after such light wear. I asked SOP if they would at least cover the $65 cost of the repair since I'd now spent over $850 on jeans, but obviously they said: "Well it seems you've gone off on your own repair mission. At this point there is nothing I can do for you." The funny thing is there's so much a good company could still yet do for me: 1. not consistently call me a liar 2. pay for repair 3. refund cost of one of the two pairs I bought 4. apologize 5. send replacement pair 6. write me a Shakespearean sonnet 7. make me a spokesperson (which I would have to reject, I'm not in the Snake Oil biz) Ah, snake oil. I guess I should not be surprised. After all, a "snake oil salesman" is a generations-old term for a grifter, a fraud, a proponent of a valueless good. Why they would so outwardly acknowledge their true selves is either insanely dumb or devilishly brilliant. Also, before these nightmares, I also bought a friend a $100 gift card to SOP which Cake seems unwilling to refund so I'm really out close to $1,000. The end. Made my first visit out to SOP in LA just a few days ago, and honestly I don't know what people are talking about on here that they were treated poorly. The staff, I believe it was Miranda and Cake who were helping me, were incredibly welcoming and awesome people. The shop has a killer aesthetic and both Cake and Miranda were incredibly knowledgeable about the product and helped me find a jacket that fit right just for me. It's crazy people are on here complaining about price too. The quality of the products and garments they carry are too notch. Of course it's going to be higher in price. If you're expecting H&M pricing options here, I suggest you do some googling on the brands they stock at SOP. Great experience at SOP and I will definitely be back to shop some more! read more

In todays marketplace it is hard to find a store that curates with such a conscious eye on integrity, craftsmanship, and style. SOP is a triple crown winner in my book when it comes to all three. They only sell items that they have vetted for quality and craftsmanship, They offer a service with integrity, which is easy when you can stand behind what you sell. And the items in their shop are of a timeless style and certainly they cover the basics better than most. Man oh man, where to start? After following them on IG for a while and finding a parking spot on the street about .1 mile away, I entered SOP which is an amazing little hole in the wall shop with quality products from quality brands. If you follow them on IG you will assume the shop is bigger but that is irrelevant as they also have a very nifty online store which is a large part of their selling goods. Anything from selvedge denim to boots, accessories, leather jackets you name it. On this occasion I was shopping for my first pair of big boy selvedge denim. I can't explain how enjoyable the super rad owners Ben and Miranda made this purchase. I must have flip flopped between trying the two pairs Ben selected for me 6 times before deciding and neither of them blinked an eye. I am 6'3 and ended up with some denim by the brand 3Sixteen which happened to be a 37" inseam which means I can FINALLY cuff my jeans the way I want to. If you are on the shorter side of the spectrum they offer hemming to accommodate. Any reviews bashing the pricing of items need to realize good stuff ain't cheap and cheap stuff ain't good, they carry quality American made brands that you aren't going to find anywhere else for the most part in OC. Can't wait to buy a second pair of jeans to rotate between from these guys. Be sure to grab some coffee from Lord Windsor, rose park roasters, or recreational coffee while you are in the area cause obviously if you are smart enough to stop by SOP for some investment items, you're worth it. ;) read more

Making the pilgrimage to SOP wasn't optional on my California trip. I've been a fan of Ben's IG account for what seems like years & have made purchases from them online a few times before. The shop is a little cramped & I felt like I might step on Lucy a few times but it's easy to check out their apparel offerings with the footwear in the back. If you're not familiar with the brands they carry they're mostly made in the USA denim & footwear brands: Rogue Territory, 3sixteen, Alden, Red Wing. They also carry the Flat Head out of Japan but sold out of most their offerings before I got there. Ben & Miranda were so friendly & helpful. I was in town for the memorial service for my eccentric uncle & they didn't seem to mind me going on a tangent about the surreal experience. I really wanted the 3sixteen stadium jacket but they didn't have an it in my size which always seems to happen to me! I did pull the trigger on some new white pocket t's though. If you're in the area & are a fan then you have to stop by to check the place out. It's totally unassuming & awesome at the same time. I love the brands they carry & they're good people. I've been following Ben, Miranda, and their sons Hank and Frank on Instagram for years but haven't made it out to the shop before today. My fiancé and I decided to finally tie the knot and she gave me the green light to wear a denim jacket, so I b-lined straight to SOP and picked up my absolute dream jacket the Rogue Territory Supply Jacket. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Bob and after asking what I was looking for he eyeballed my size across the room and pulled the perfect jacket for me. It's as if he could measure me with his eyes. That experience alone justified the cost of the jacket. Here's the thing, I'm sure that I'm going to catch some shit from my friends and family for buying a $300 denim jacket, but cheap things aren't good and good things aren't cheap. There's only two reasons why I would drop my jaw when I walk in a store: either they have really cool product or they have a cute dog in there. This store has both. Upon walking in, I was greeted with a warm welcome by Miranda and Lucy, both hospitality members of this establishment. First glance, this store has cool shit, very well curated selection of clothing and premium goods. Walking into this store gave me the same feeling as walking into Disneyland for the first time as a child. Miranda and I chatted about these Chucks I've been on the hunt for as she helped grab my shoe size and laced my sneakers properly. Then walks in Ben, the owner of the establishment. After speaking with Ben and Miranda for a good 4.35 minutes, you can tell they love what they are doing. They're genuine people and they're dope as hell. The store exudes their personality and interests, the way things should be. The details are sick, like the Marshall amps, wood tables, dope rugs, to the window to the wall. Shit they even have a mini fridge for beer and their chairs feel better than your mom cradling you as a youngin. Now it sounds like "ay Elwood u sound like ur their close friend and their payin u to right this". NAH. I actually found this place through Google Images searching for some Converse like 10 mins before heading over there and have never heard of them until today. I started following the shop on Instagram a little while ago, and finally made it into the shop recently. Walked out with a fresh pair of Redwing Iron Rangers, and couldn't be happier. It's definitely a specialty shop, which comes with the price tag, and I wouldn't ever drop money on half the items they stock, but that's just my personal preference. I knew nothing about the owners Ben and Miranda before walking in, but after an hour of good conversation, I left feeling like they were the second cousins at a family reunion that you always want to partner up with for the balloon toss.
