However we feel that they could use more exercise equipment and weights. So for the meantime we decided to pass on and continue to search for a gym membership elsewhere.

I went in, lifted heavy, and walked out with a smile. Ambiance aside, Bryan was EXTREMELY reasonable on price. I'm not gonna say how much, I think that should be up to the business owner, but I will say it's a fraction of the cost even a prorated membership at anytime fitness would have been (and they wouldn't prorate it) for the ten days I am in Fremont. If you are deciding on a gym in the area for a temporary or full time stop, I HIGHLY recommend this facility. Because my joints were so mobile, I was experiencing a lot of pain in my hips, knees and ribcage. I can handle rearranging some equipment and even closing the kids club, but if I can't get there because they close so doggone early it's not worth me paying for it. By the way, even though they cut out several hours per week of available gym time for clients, they did not cut out any of the very expensive monthly dues for members. This business is owned by ProMedica and if I didn't know any better I would think that they didn't care about encouraging people to live a healthy lifestyle, and that they only cared about money. And then I remembered that I am a ProMedica nurse and that is absolutely, 100%, the case! They made these changes to the hours from a financial standpoint, not thinking about their clientele or giving a crap if anyone actually visits the gym (so long as they pay their monthly dues).

It is a self contained spring fed quarry (if you need to put a name to it.) I have been coming here since I was 15..a long time. I actually loved the place so much-I moved to the area in 1999 to be closer to the beach-but shortly after we got into the area, the red tape politics closed down the beach for years. We were so bummed, but it was eventually taken over a couple of times by different people, but they just never ran it as well as the Heath Family-the 1st family to own "Heath Beach," as it was called most of the time. The problem came when one of the Huron parks named "Heather Heath Beach" was constantly shut down for their nasty water, and dangerous bacteria counts. (I believe it was a Huron Metro Park.) The news updated which parks were closed on the radio, daily. They'd say "Heather Heath Beach is closed again." The public heard "Heath Beach," and didn't go to the beach in Milan. It really hurt their attendance, so the owner filed a lawsuit bcuz they were losing their livelihood-as many of the reporters got lazy and would sometimes just say "Heath Beach is closed again." They wanted to force the news crews to clarify that it's a totally different beach that was being closed. The attorney fees ate up the last money they had; so they lost the family beach. The water was tested daily, and was sent to the health dept on the regular-and they claim with proof of testing that it was the cleanest, freshest water in the 13 surrounding states! The beach has never had any bacteria issues-unlike so many fresh water sources around. We moved away now, but it looks really nice since the new owners came in! Good luck to them-it was a great place for kids and adults to hang out, and enjoy the spring water that just makes your skin so soft and it always soaks the bones of any aches and pains in that warm mineral water. It's as warm as bath water, but every once in a while you will feel the refreshing spring releasing a little cold water on your toes! This beach gets raked daily, kept clean-and is definitely worth the trip!! Enjoy a fun time with the kiddo's in their roped off shallow end!

My 9 year old and his friend jumped right in and couldn't get enough of all the slides and water fun. They were probably some of the older kids there, but still young enough to enjoy the fun. There's also a more babyish area to the side for younger kids who aren't into the slides and giant bucket. They also get 5 stars for cleanliness, including the bathrooms and changing rooms. I had to show out my coffee when we arrived since no food or drink is allowed inside the gate, but that's probably how they manage to keep it so clean. My sons are asking when we can go to Michigan just to go to this again so I can imagine if we were locals we would be there quite a bit.

Great Events and Kids Activities - Labor Day Party and Fireworks, Campout, Candy Bar Bingo, Dads Cannon Ball Contest, Swim Lessons, Water Aerobics Snack Bar prices are basically at-cost. The only thing about CGPA that could be improved is the pool stairs. They're not built-in and can be a bit difficult for swimmers with mobility issues. I'd love to see permanent stairs be added to the pool and perhaps one of those lifts that are becoming more and more common at pools.

I later found out this was the owner! I had registered & paid for the class ahead of attending. I was questioned immediately by the owner to "prove it". Though I arrived early as it was my first class I was not allowed to start on-time until I could retrieve the proof of the payment made directly to the gym. The gym owner refused to validate it in their system & instead required me to retrieve my phone to show her the payment made to her directly! Class was absolutely chaotic. I chalked it up to it being a high attendance class that they were not prepared for. I attended another class In Jan. Much to my disappointment it was the same chaotic unorganized & unsafe class. The owner was the instructor, however she was taking her own class & not attending to leading the class. Bizarre & unprofessional. I retrieved a physical gift certificate at the gym for a previous purchase. The balance remaining is $140. The gym owner is now refusing to honor the gift certificate.
