I feel like I'm a little spoiled with my other PF gym that has the bathroom stall-style doors and a dark curtain. I like that there's changing rooms that lock but the walls are pretty scuffed and marked. Other than the locker room, I like everything else. I love that it's 24 hours. I also love the massing chairs and tables. The people and staff has always been pretty nice. I feel like it could just use a little TLC to clean up some of the marked walls and maybe upgrade the locker rooms but other than that, I'm a fan.

We chatted before the class started and she asked if I had any Pilates experience before. I said I have taken some Solidcore classes before. To which she said "oh well this will be different from Solidcore. Our moves are more nuanced". Her tone of voice was very condescending and she seemed to minimize my experience. Every month they charge and it gets rejected because side they were on block with my charge card. Well almost a year later, Nick gamed the charge card company and changed their merchant number so that they can get around the block I had in place. They were able to get this charge in almost a year later. I had to dispute this charge and block the new club Pilates merchant number. The charge company reversed the charge so Nick didn't get paid. Do not give these people your charge card information! Do not do business with this company - you will regret it!

Although I am a member of another location, I was welcomed here (i was visiting family for a few days) to participate in classes under the great exchange policy of the Fit Body Boot Camp organisation. The whole concept of this national chain of centers is to turn fat into muscle and give the total body conditioning, tone and strength. The classes are only 30 minutes, but are 30 very busy minutes. Every class has similar concept but are different. Its interesting, rewarding and is done at your own pace. The Jackson road facility is spotless clean, welcoming and well equipped. It is managed by real professionals who insure that you do the exercises with proper form with your own level of capability always considered. You will be impressed!

The workouts have kicked my butt (in a good way) but my favorite part is the community. I was scared at first about being a newbie since everyone seemed so tight but I feel like I'm definitely a part of the community now. The staff and all the members genuinely care about you and your progress. They provide motivation, guidance, and nutrition advice too. Burn takes COVID precautions seriously and ensures everyone wears masks inside and stays socially distant. There's lots of hand sanitizer available, as well. They also have Zoom options available for every workout that are wonderful and still very engaging. I can already see the progress after spending 2 months at Burn. The workouts challenge me in different ways, and I've truly loved the different camps available. The owners' group of Clocktower came together to create a new CrossFit community in greater Chelsea area. Box just opened June 1st and they have all been very welcoming and encouraging, even though I am no where near their level of fitness. The facility is outstanding. A lot of space, open air and nicely appointed. A strip of turf runs along the back of the Box for warm-ups, mobility work (stretching out) and field-athlete training. There is plenty of equipment for when the classes get larger. TRX bands for adapted pullups, pushups, etc. Great bathrooms with shower and plenty of space for all of it. The owners have so much experience in the practice of CrossFit; I appreciate their attention to details - like the overhead fans to keep the air moving, the water bottle fill station and the hair ties in the bathroom for when mine breaks. It's the little things sometimes. Coach Koski also has a degree in nutrition. I am very optimistic of my ability to implement the life-style changes to my eating habits, under his instruction. I am not a complete novice when it comes to a balanced diet, however, I don't have the expertise and am happy to have found a Box and Coach that can help guide me. Well, from a first time crossfit participant, well, CHIME participant, I can say that this place rocks. I have done other, 'similar' classes, even taught a few, but this place is defined by more than their equipment and facility- it is defined by its people and its atmosphere. From day one, yes, you will see that the gym itself is immaculate, but it is the welcoming people that make up Clocktower Crossfit that make the difference. The head coach, Steve Koski, has a deep knowledge, both practical and academic, that allows him the expertise of coaching in proper movement to avoid injury- very important.
