Even though it's a new owner, nothing has changed; they're still just as great. I completely forgot how amazing the fries were; nobody beats Gus' on fries. You order at the counter and they call you when it's ready, which took about four minutes. I'm guessing the guy taking orders is the owner; he's super friendly. I got there around 11 a.m. and there was a steady stream of customers the whole 30 minutes I was there. They seemed to know everyone's name, which is a sign of good food--plenty of regulars! Overall, it tastes just like I remember. If I had to pick three things for my last meal, Gus' Hot Dogs would definitely be on the list.
