Guys say hello to Ry Ry's Wings Fries & Pies! It's a black owned food truck kicking out some actually really good food. The customer service was great too. Everyone was very nice but my only gripe was the wait was a touch long for my liking but the food made up for it. I'm going to be honest the pizza for what it was was pretty good. They made it fresh and loaded it with toppings. Yall know how I am I prefer my toppings to be on top of the cheese not under it. This pizza reminded me of a much better version of a Subway pizza and that's not a bad thing I like their pizzas which means I liked this pizza even more. It was cooked perfectly and I can't really say much else but give it a 7.2/10 on my pizza scale. I would get this again. Now the star of the show is this polish sausage that is unlike any other. This thing was HUGE and covered in ground beef with peppers and onions covered in cheese and drizzled with bbq sauce. When I tell yall I was in Heaven! This bad boy was legit. The only thing I have to say about this is they may want to invest in boxes for these things to fit in because I couldn't close the box other than that it was perfect. The grits were smooth, warm, and buttery, like comfort food that makes you feel happy. The people working there were very nice and really friendly. They really made me feel welcome and were kind while I waited for my food. The wait was not too long, and everything was made fresh. The amount of food you get is perfect for an individual so you will not leave hungry. That made it even better for the price. If you like tasty and warm Southern food that you will be eager to come back to you should try this place. I will go back again to eat more because it was so good. The bread is from local bakeries like Continental Bakery and Birmingham Breadworks and they're using specialty local deli meats and cheeses instead of basic Boar's Head. A lot of the ingredients are also house made, so it's quality. And chips are included. They also have beer and seltzer options which is a plus. They seemed to be the only vendor offering the standard kid friendly food truck item. It comes with choice of dipping sauce for $8.00. What we received were 3 cold, old frozen variety chicken fingers and cold old fries. The food we received was cooked much earlier. It's not as tho they were busy. They didn't have to serve us garbage but they chose to. So my intent to go back and try a flatbread vanished immediately. My daughter choked some of it down. My son who will eat anything call it gross. I'm not a fan. It may have been decent cheap frozen food at some point but they willingly served me the stuff they had cooked several hours prior, so I will not choose to give them another shot.

The cheeseburger was so good well seasoned full of flavor and the two kinds of cheese on it just worked. Only thing I felt was for the price I paid I wish it was a bigger patty or at least a double but still good. 7/10 As for the fries so good just needed more seasoning on then. 8/10 This is yet another black owned food truck you need to follow and check out ASAP so good!

Birmingham Restaurant Week has ended and I am happy I got the chance to try some new places so I can tell you all about them. So let's get right into it. First up is The Lil Bougie Foodie INC. What brought me to them is what I saw written all over their food truck. It said Home of the Bougie burger, so I was very intrigued. So I ordered it after asking what all came on it. I don't fully remember what was all on it and unfortunately I tried to find it only but there is no description of it I could find so I'll do my best here. Like I said I ordered The Bougie Burger (A LA Cart). It had cheese, bacon, tomato, pickles, onions, lettuce, and bougie sauce. Oh and two smashed patties. This burger was good. In my own opinion it was lacking just a touch of season and I wish they had given me more of the sauce on the burger it was like I know it's there but wish I had more of it. Also I was disappointed I received bacon bits on my burger instead of actual slices of bacon (not sure what was going on there). Also on the picture it looks like there burgers were served with White American cheese but I received Yellow American (yes they taste different to me), don't get me wrong I love yellow American so it didn't bother me at all. Anyways this burger was very good would 100% get this again and can't wait to try what else they have on the menu. I give the burger a 8.9/10.
