Pretty good breakfast stromboli. Was visiting friends and wanted to try this local place. I enjoyed it - I would have probably liked to add protein to it, but I didn't want to pay the upcharge. The atmosphere was a little dark (it also is a gaming cafe), but the service was good and we enjoyed our breakfast there. Would come back and try some other items on the menu! read more

A small yet busy and efficient cafe!! Met a friend for breakfast and I truly enjoyed my French toast and real hand pattied sausage patty!! No tables were cleaned, except one but I guess it was all we needed! Reuben was made with a spicy boom-boom sauce, too much for me. They do serve with 1,000 island but not offered until after we expressed it was too much. The baked potato salad was excellent. I would return but not order the Reuben. read more

I wish I'd taken a picture. Tuesdays are usually Taco Tuesdays with incredible pork and chorizo tacos and Baja chicken enchilada soup. But tonight is Fat Tuesday so they offered Gumbo. Wow! We've enjoyed lots of gumbo in Louisiana which couldn't compete with this. So good. And bartender sweet Colleen offers the BEST dessert martinis. Tonight was mint chocolate chip. Incredible! Okay, please don't let the face of this cafe turn you away. While traveling Route 66 from Chicago, we stopped overnight in East St. Louis, il. This morning we decided to find a restaurant for breakfast. Using Yelp, again, I found this cafe near the largest ketchup bottle in the world. We opened the door and found the cafe "packed." Only one table was vacant which we grabbed. A large selection of breakfast and lunch items, but wanted breakfast. Our server, Athena, recommended the "Breakfast Stromboli; see the picture. Since we wanted to share, Athena said that was the perfect breakfast. Oh my, what an unexpected breakfast !!! Plenty of food for my wife and I. Traveling Route 66 and the place we were heading was closed so I searched and found Lottie's. We met Dallas upon arrival and he got us squared away with coffees and waters. My buddy had the ultimate breakfast sandwich and I was thinking biscuits and gravy but after chatting with Dallas I went with eggs, hash browns, bacon, and a biscuit with gravy. Everything was cooked perfectly. These are nice folks working in the place. Highly recommended. read more

First timer, and now so disappointed I've been missing out on this place. In an unassuming, quiet little strip. So happy to have found this. They actually open early to get "breakfast" in but still have your mimosas and bloody Mary's. We were immediately greeted and asked for drinks. Love this gem of a place. It used to be more of a secret but it has gained popularity. The food is always excellent and homemade. They could use a bigger space some days due to the gain in popularity. We had breakfast this time. 4 in our party and we split two omelets. They are huge portions so be ready to eat. Definitely a hidden gem. Did a Google search for breakfast and this came up. Drove up and I had second thoughts. The place has blacked out windows and says "gaming inside". I wasn't sure what to expect. I decided to give it a try and wasn't disappointed. I walked in to a pleasant atmosphere that was quite busy for a Tuesday morning. I was immediately greeted and waited on. I told the server how I was suspicious based on the outside looks. He said all the locals know the truth! I ordered the Breakfast Stromboli and it was really good! I wished the homemade dough had some more flavor but overall it was tasty. Nice large portion at a reasonable price. Check it out! read more

I believe I found the place to fill a void in my life. My wife and I stumbled into Lottie's accidentally after hitting the small Walmart next door. Just trying to play a couple slots while we didn't have the kids. But when we walked inside the atmosphere was not what we expected. Walking in there were patrons sitting at dining tables with amazing looking, elaborate dishes. Not a bag of chips from a "snack bar" joint but a full blown menu with a breakfast page that's served ALL DAY!! OMG. Just past the happy folks eating their delicious food, was a full service bar with a welcoming bartender engaging us right away and telling us about the benefits of Lottie's. This place completely impressed my wife and I. The background music was loud enough to enjoy while conversations with others could still be heard. Thinking this place is too good to be true I did a final bathroom check. Clean, spacious, and real toilet paper! By the way our food was incredible. 10/10. read more

I've been there twice and each time service and servers were impeccable. My grandson had a flatbread pizza and side salad and both were hearty. I had French onion soup with a salad and left part of my meal there because I was "full as a tick." Our tab was about $37 and that included one soda. Lottie's also has daily specials that are less expensive. We did not have the specials. read more

This place is very casual, kind of a hole in the wall. The service was great and the food was even better. It is homemade food. My mom and I went for lunch. They were pretty busy so we had to wait a little, but it was well worth it for fresh and delicious food. I will be going back! read more

I think people (including myself) can get the idea that since this place has slot machines, that its food offerings are second rate. Let me tell you that they are not! I stopped in for the first time a few days ago and got their blackened shrimp wrap which was really good along with a side salad. The Mrs. got a grilled chicken salad with apples and feta cheese. I snuck a bite, it was very good. Prices are reasonable given the times we are in. read more

Employees wear masks and tables are spaced apart. There are also some small tables out front on the sidewalk, which is where I sat. Breakfast has always been my favorite meal of the day, and I especially love it when it's done in a new, different way (for me, anyway). I had the Breakfast Stromboli and it was amaaaazing! The service was definitely not fast, but I wasn't in a big hurry, so it didn't bother me. The coffee was delish, and I'd love to get back here to have one (or MORE) of their cocktails. read more

Wow! What an amazing spot! We came for breakfast and boy were we happy. The restaurant is small and cute. Dallas greeted us immediately with a smile and a friendly welcome. He introduced us to the menu and his favorites. As we were sitting there, you could tell many of the people that came in were regulars. Dallas would communicate with them like they were family. Excellent vibe and very welcoming and loving place. Back to the food, everything came out with a beautiful presentation. The flavors were amazing. My hubby found this little cafe when he was out and about. He stopped in and had an omelet. He said it was good, so a week or so later he took me back because I love eating breakfast out. It's a small place with gambling on the side. It has slot machines, which do not interest me at all. But, if you're into that, there ya go. There was no one in eating, so we had our pick of tables. I think there are only like five plus bar seating. We sit at a table surrounded by hanging clear shower curtains due to Covid-19 obviously. The things poor business owners have had to come up with, is ridiculous. The lady who owns the place, I'm assuming Lottie, is very friendly and at our table quickly. Hubby got the chili and said it was great! I got the sunrise breakfast. It comes with two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast! It was pretty good. I like my eggs a bit fluffier and my hash browns a bit hotter, but not bad. It's nice to have a place to go where you can get breakfast anytime. I'm not sure breakfast will always be available, this might be Covid related, but I have a feeling that Lottie will be happy to make whatever you want...within reason. She seems like that kind of...sweet...can do lady! A nice little place tucked in the strip mall. Definitely check this place out. read more

Nice newer cafe in Collinsville . My husband and I grabbed dinner here recently and the service was great. Quick and friendly . I had a grilled roast beef which was on point with the French onion soup (old Famous Barr recipe). I didn't love the French onion soup as much , nothing wrong with it but just wasn't my taste. My husband had a turkey bacon sandwich with a walnut strawberry salad. He really enjoyed the salad and he also liked the sandwich. Nice fresh lettuce and strawberries. They have gambling machines here in a side room and there were multiple people playing. It's separated from the restaurant though so if you are not into gambling , it's still a good place to try for a bite . read more

Nice little hidden gem in collinsville Illinois. I went and pick up breakfast and it was pretty good. The bartender working was really nice. Good place to eat anytime of day. Locally owned, owner is there frequently. Not typical bar food at all, as the name says cafe. Food is always fresh and tasty with a nice selection of menus choices. Full bar that's doesn't disappoint. This place has a variety of items breakfast, lunch or dinner, don't go there expecting hot dogs or hamburgers with fries nor a top sirloin steak & potato and you should be fine, If you want to take a break from normal food establishments it's a go to. Excellent toasted raviolis and awesome flatbreads. We had the bbq chicken flatbread and the two toppings flatbread with seasoned beef and onion. Both very very good. Great restaurant!! The daily specials are great, and they just expanded their menu and recently redid their decor. Their delux nachos and chicken quesadilla appetizers are great, the pepper jack club panini is fantastic, and my main go to items are the sunny and char salad (which is part of the specials on wednesdays) and their biscuits and gravy. I havent been here during the nights, but Ive heard great things. Its a small and quiet place, and like their new menu says, its Collinsville's Hidden Gem. read more

Ranch dressing KILLLER!! 10 out of 10. Baked Beans 3 out of 10 disappointing. Very bland. They were fresh beans but needed more seasoning or something. They weren't very busy so it was pretty quiet overall but they have Touch Tunes so that was nice. Waitress (Madison) super attentive, friendly, 10 out of 10 for her!
