He even took a "before" photo and circled the bubble (below left) which he told me yesterday was to "protect himself." He never notified us about the problem or sent his photo until after we texted him regarding the bubble (right photo). The condo was recently purchased and is not yet moved in. Before Dasani arrived, no bubble was observed in the shower enclosure and our home inspector did not notice it. Even if it was pre-existing, why would any contractor ignore it? We were told to leave the condo during the day due to strong odors. Supposedly, David performed hours or prep including cleaning, sanding, scraping, applying acetone, etc. OVER the bubble as if that would be acceptable to the homeowner. He did not bother to call us during the day. Meanwhile, we paid as soon as we were told the job was completed. We did not ener the condo to see the work until 48 hours later. As a result, we wasted $885 which David refuses to refund. Incredibly, he told me he would charge another $420 to return and fix the problem. He said he did not care about negative reviews in Yelp. I now see that he responds to critical reviews by blaming the customer. All the positive reviews mean nothing when a company does something like this. It will cost me a lot more money and aggravation to get a competent contractor because Dasani literally glossed over a problem.

Take my experience and trauma as a warning and spend the extra money if that's the case to go with someone else. Long version: Literally from the first plank he put down there was issues. The stair nose wasn't laid correctly. Instead of fixing it while the glue was still wet he came back later with colored caulking to fill the gap he created by not doing it right in the first place. As time has gone on (it's been 10+ months now) I've found multiple places in the flooring where there were cracks from broken panels or broken locking mechanism. Instead of backing out the planks and replacing them, he just covered it with clear caulking that has left a permanent residue. There's still glue on our stair nose that didn't get wiped off... He was very unprofessional. Didn't complete the job on time. Demanded money for over an hour and a half for the part of the job he did complete. Basically refused to leave until I paid him, and then I never saw him again. He sent some lackey of his who spent 3 days struggling to finish less than 200sqft of flooring. He immediately cashed the check at a check cashing place, and if you're not aware that's how you prevent people from getting their money back with stop payments through your bank. Apparently, only shady business practitioners use check cashing places so people like us have no choice but to honor that check when they skip out on the rest of the job. They never finished the caulking around the doors or trim, so I had to go buy the materials and do it myself. They installed 'bad' planks that had factory defects. I had to hire another guy to come in and rip up our entire master bathroom and re-do the whole thing. The only thing he had going for him was he was available after I had tried to book a few other companies. Should have been a red flag from the start. You've been warned.
