Our kitchen cabinet doors were damaged by heat from our oven and the small appliances on our counters. Roger at Thermofoil Repair replaced the thermofoil on seven of my damaged doors. My main concern was that they wouldn't match the existing doors, but they matched perfectly with both color and texture. It was also done very quickly. I have been using my oven, toaster, and rice cooker again with no problems at all. The new thermofoil is heat resistant. Wow wow wow !! I will never believe a yelp review again .. I was skeptical but was worth the risk. These guys are amazing . We have over 20 year old white gorgeous cabinets that started to peel. Instead of replacing I didn't like anything out available there! I decided to have them redone. What a wonderful experience, they matched them perfectly, I did not have to redo pairs ! I had such high hopes. In October 2022, I followed instructions and sent in my two damaged doors (packaging was expensive and difficult to source). The doors arrived at Roger's shop on 10/20/2022. On 10/27/2022, I received an email stating his repair machine was broken, but Roger kindly offered to manufacture new doors. I replied asking if the hardware holes would be exact and received a message they would be exact. On 11/04/2022 I received an email they were working as fast as they can, and it would be around the end of the month. 12/08/2022 I receive an email that the doors had shipped. YAY. I replied asking if the mounting holes had been drilled (I must have had a premonition). The reply was "Naturally." On 12/11/2022 when we attempted to reattach the mounting hardware, it was clear the holes were the wrong shape and drilled in the wrong places. I sent several photos. Roger was quite frustrated that I had "the wrong" hardware - apparently, it's European. Who knew? It's what came with. There were no stipulations or conditions that specified hardware type. On 12/13/2022 Roger said he can fix the issue, and to send the doors back. With holidays, guests coming and travel, we would not be able to source shipping materials and borrower a large enough vehicle to prepare to send back. 1/05/2023 I reach out - doors ready to ship, can I get the promised shipping label? No reply. 1/11/2023 pinged again. 1/12/2023 reply stating they are "Super slammed with work here after the holidays my partner and I will discuss the process and try to give you the best cost possible that being our cost." Cost? .... COST? I replied asking why there would be a cost. No reply. Again an email, no reply. 1/18/2023 an email stating "since you disregarded my advice which would've only required one hole repair you decided to hang the cabinet doors on the cabinets. This ruined ALL hinge holes which now need to be repaired." And, he's willing to compromise on cost. THE HINGES CAN'T FIT, SO THE CABINETS CAN'T BE HUNG They disposed of my original doors. They want to charge me again to fix the problem they created. Now, I have two cabinets with no doors and two useless doors. I have no idea what to do. Roger sucks. This company sucks. I didn't end up sending my doors to him because it felt like a scam. He said he wanted $199 PLUS $75/sf to thermofoil the door. That came to about $400 PER DOOR and I had to ship it to him. Even at $199 per door with free shipping I thought it was excessive, but at the new price, I felt like it was a downright scam. I ended up finding another website and sent them the photos of my cabinet and they estimated the cost for NEW doors to match existing to come to about $80 per door with free shipping with $150 or more in purchase. So for my 2 doors, it was a $172 with tax to have them ship me 2 new doors. They are called Cabinetdoormart.com. I do not work for or have any affiliation with them other than being a customer. I haven't gotten the doors yet so I can't say whether they are good or not but I can tell that Thermofoil Repair did not seem reputable enough for me to use them. read more

I am very, very happy with the quality of the work. Roger did the work as promised for the quoted price of $199 per door with free round trip shipping. No extras charged. The finished repaired cabinet drawers look great. We needed perhaps 30% of our doors and drawer fronts re-done. Using this company saved us a lot of money compared to buying replacement doors and drawer fronts for the entire kitchen. Roger's communicated well with us up front and again when the doors were shipped back. We had to leave the door fronts on the back porch for a few days after we got them back as the plastic odor of the product out of the box was quite strong, but after the product aired out it was fine and ready to be installed. In Jan we sent several of our white kitchen doors to be repaired. They came back more then a month later and the white was a much brighter white then on the rest of my kitchen doors. My husband reached out to Rodger to let him know that they were the wrong shade of white. After more then several days of not hearing back we had no choice but to stop payment on our American Express. That did promp a response. We were told to repackage them and send them back. After many excuses for the time it was taking, in May we were sent only a few of our doors back. Again, not a perfect match, but we decided that after going 4 months with out doors in out kitchen, that this was as close as they were going to get. We called Rodger to ask him to send the rest and the payment would be released on our Amex. Rodger refused to accept the payment and insisted it was to be sent by Venmo or a Certified Check. Holding the rest of the doors hostage. The payment would not have been stopped if a simply return call was made. The money was wired and we finally have our doors. I am writing this review because the ad that there would be 100% match along with the time frame is false. My husband handled the transactions with Rodger because of my frustration with the time it took to get this done. I believe he has recently taken down his 15 day turn around. Which is a good thing because he was no where close. My insurance company was aware of this transaction and I have not called them and told them what happened. I have to admit I was skeptical sending doors and drawer fronts and paying for a product where communication was limited to a text message and canned emails. But, when we received our fixed doors, we were amazed at how great they look. We even had a door that had some dog teeth marks completely fixed and look good as new. I have since had questions for Roger about cleaning and maintenance and Roger was quick to text/call/email. Unfortunate to need to write this negative review as it could have been avoided. Can't comment on the quality of work as we requested our door and our money back. If there were 1 word to sum up the rest of our experience with Thermofoil Repair it would be: Unreasonable. If you choose to do business with this company be prepared first for hidden fees. Their advertised price of $200? That doesn't include their color matching fee of $150, which is required no matter if your cabinets are neon green or just plain ol' white like ours are. Not antique white, not off white, just regular white. $150 please. Then they attempted to tack on another $50 for 'Goo removal' What they call 'Goo' took about 1 minute to wipe off with some windex and a paper towel. Seriously! Search youtube for 'thermofoil price gouging' to see the video. 1 minute of time, 1 paper towel, 3 squirts of windex. $50 please. On top of all that, we live local to them. Do you think we could drop the door off and pick it up? Nope, not allowed. $100 to pick up and $100 to deliver if you want local delivery....that'd make this repair $600. Otherwise you have to ship the door to them. Literally 20 minutes away and we have to pay to ship it to them. Add to that they somehow misplaced our door after I specifically asked them to confirm when they received it as we needed it back before an event at our home. We shipped it on a Wednesday, it got to them by Thursday. We followed on Monday and somehow they couldn't figure out that they had received the door and it was ours. This is not rocket science. We also asked for info on how to pay them as soon as we shipped the door on Wednesday. Only after we finally got them to figure out that they had received the door did they send the payment request. It took us 24 hours to get it paid (including the excessive 'Goo Removal' fee). Suddenly now we are 1 week after the ship date due to all these mishaps and we followup (again) to confirm the door repair will still be delivered the current week as they had promised. "We'll try to have it ready next week" was their response. Next week would be after our event! When we pressed them to get it done on time, even offering to drive to pick up the door (again) to make things easier, we were accused of shipping them an unmarked door and delaying payment. They had the dang door on Thursday, the day after it shipped, and we asked them for payment info the day it shipped. Somehow it's our fault they couldn't figure this out. Even still, they had 2 days to do the repair, and worst case drop it at UPS on Friday so it would get to us on Saturday. Nope "we'll try to have it ready next week" is the best they can do. We asked for the door back with no repair. To their credit they DID deliver it to us and refunded our money. We ended up just fixing it outselves with some glue and white paint (didn't even need to color match it as it really was just white). Not sure if this company just doesn't like people or the line of work they are in, but dealing with them should be your last resort. Assumably the work quality is good if you don't mind paying $400 per repair and dealing with their unreasonable, curt, customer service. read more

I read the reviews and took a chance anyway WHAT A MISTAKE. Roger at Thermofoil Repair sent me UPS Tags and corner cushions to pack the door cabinets. He recommended using UPS or postal annex to pack the cabinet doors. He also supplied instructions how to properly pack the doors. I gave the info to postal annex about how to pack them. They were sent UPS. Shipping cost me $200 . Roger called me the next day and told me that all of the cabinets arrived damaged and the repair would cost an additional $990 or he could tell me how to repair them. Not being handy I declined and paid him the $990 for repair. He claimed UPS insurance would not cover the damage due to the fact that they were packaged improperly by Postal Annex. He sent me pictures of the damaged cabinet doors and damaged boxes. I believed him initially but now I wonder if the damage was caused by the shipping or by him. When repairs were completed he sent me back the repaired doors four were damaged in shipment &the shipment boxes appeared intact. I contacted him for a refund on the damaged doors, and he told me if the boxes did not look damaged that I could have damaged them when handling or opening them. Totally untrue I was cautious when handling and opening the boxes. Why doesn't his insurance cover the damage if it was packed properly by him or does he even have insurance. So now I wonder if the ten cabinets were damaged by him or in shipment. This makes me question his honesty. AVOID AVOID AVOID . read more

We had a very good experience with Roger, and I wouldn't hesitate to use his company again. We had 20+ year old cabinets, and the heat from the stove and dryer had caused rippling and shrinkage of their overcoating. We could not find any place local to replace them, but we found Thermofoil Repair online. Because Roger was able to match our color (an additional onetime fee of $199), we were able to forego the replacement of all worn cabinets and, instead, refresh our worn cabinet doors for 1/5th of what new ones would have cost. He was prompt to reply to my questions. When asked later if I could send additional doors, he gave me the same special price as the former order. There is a down payment expected before the shipping labels are sent; and then payment needs to be received before work begins. That may dissuade some as it seems risky; but we were treated honestly; the work was done expertly, and we are very satisfied. read more

I sent one upper cabinet door out for repair. Excessive toasting bubbled & then tore a piece of the coating about 2 inches. Looked terrible. As a real estate agent I know our options. Repair one door or replace all. As I researched doors I found Thermofoil repair. The reviews were good so I sent in my door. I am 100% impressed with the door color, gloss amount & perfection on the resurfacing. As an agent, i may be a bit time sensitive so big thank you to Roger for responding to my messages and calls! Said my doors were damaged in transit but we had paid UPS to package. He won't fix nor will he send pictures of the damage he claims was inflicted. He wants me to pay $800 to repair the damage. I emailed Rodger and talked to him on the phone, staying we are just trying to fix the cabinets to sell our house, he emailed me 199.00 to colormatch, another 199.00 for some costing and 95.00 a square foot. He was pushing lifetime guarantee, etc. I told him I did not understand his pricing, in phone calls with him, he said he was busy, and was short with me and rude. I even asked if I could talk to another person. I gave sizes and pics, and all he could quote was his above mentioned formula, I don't know how they got any positive yelp reviews if this is how they treat you, a possible customer. I found through a yelp review on them someone who had the same experience with this co. and they shared that they found another company to do the same work for alot less, without attitude, wow. This is a company you don't want to get involved with. Back in July of 2018 I found this company on line we had 8 doors to our kitchen cabinets that needed repair at 199.00 each with a one time fee for the paint. To start off they say two weeks for repair is absolutely false it took from the time I sent the cabinets to the company almost 5 weeks to get back to me. Also when they were sent back to me one of the doors were damaged the box looked like it was dropped. I contacted ups and they told me because the merchant paid for shipping that the company would need to start the claim . I contacted the merchant and advised of the situation. I spent 30.00 of my money for insurance to send damaged door back for repair since Thermofoil paid for it to be shipped back to him. Once the merchant received the door he said it wouldn't be a problem to fix it because it was minor but asked for more money from me. I told Roger,,,he is the OWNER I wasn't paying anything else it wasn't on me that the door was damaged in shipping it was either ups or his company due to not have been packed correctly . This whole time I was only speaking Roger the owner of this company. Finally Roger agreed to fix it once he spoke to ups. Receive the cabinet 7 days later the cabinet wasn't fixed it was like he took a can of spray paint .To this day I still have a damaged cabinet . To say I am not happy with Roger and his company Themofoil is putting it lightly. One last thing ups contacted me to asked how the box was packed due to Thermofoil had insurance on the package I told the them it was packed great so I know Thermofoil received their insurance claim for ups but couldn't fixed my door correctly. read more

I had 6 doors that were peeling pretty bad. 2 were completely peeled off. Roger set up a courier service to pick up the doors. 2 weeks later, I received my doors backs. Roger did a great job matching my door color. You can't tell which doors were repaired. Saved us thousands of dollars by not having to reface. The cabinet was returned in perfect condition. It was a perfect match to the finish on our existing cabinets. Such a perfect match that my wife forgot that it was even repaired. Although the service is fairly expensive, it was more than worth the cost to save from having to redo our entire kitchen.
