I'm a DIY home owner. I Ordered 4.5 yards of 2000psi ready mix concrete "big rock" 3/4 Aggregate…read morewhich came to $545 including tax, and a $30 environment fee, delivery, $45 charge for a short load. Truck time was 4 minutes per yard x 4.5 = 18 minutes after that the cost is $1.50 per minute. Truck was scheduled to arrive between 10:30 and 11:00am. Truck arrived on time at 11:00am. The truck was the nicest looking commercial vehicle I have ever seen - better and cleaner then most high-end cars. Driver got the truck into position. I worked the chute & the placer while my two colleagues worked the screed bar. Driver watched out the mirrors as I singled him to move forward and start and stop the flow. Driver needed to straddle the form and was careful when backing into the work area. Truck ran out exactly where I calculated for a roughly 32x10 foot slab @ 3.5". I timed my unload - 16 minutes. Mix was just right not too wet and not too stiff. With no puddles of bleed water on top. Temperature was about 85 degrees and the slab was in direct sun. About 50 minutes after the pour began the surface was becoming a little sticky as I worked the Fresno. After letting the concrete firm up I finished working a few imperfections with the trowel around 3:00pm. Nice mix, great working time. Driver washed his chutes and left a very small pile of concrete where in the gravel where I said it was ok to discard it. I gave him a personal check and got a nice itemized receipt. Final Note: Twice I used a local small time operator because he operation was the closest. Both times the load was short - I got only 1/2 the concrete I ordered. One time it was so watered down it was like a river coming down the chute. I sent the truck back and 45 minutes later he returned. Every time It was a hot load and by that time where the concrete was so firm you could walk on it and not leave foot prints after 90 minutes! The second and final time I used this guy the concrete had such little Portland cement that the mix cracked after about 1 hour. I spoke with a local pro and he said he had the same problems. He recommended Superior and Hansen's. Finally, Superior actually cost less per yard then the local guy charged (no receipt, and complains when you pay by check) and you get the concrete you ordered and a receipt with weight / quality certified. Moral of the story - don't waste and money with those small operators. Superior - great operation, nice doing business with your company.

They did tell me up front that they usually do not work on things that were not purchased from their store, but that they would look at it and review. When I went in, all of the staff were so nice, and made me feel welcome. Unfortunately they were not able to do the cutting I needed, but they gave me some great advice on how to do it myself, which was always my backup plan. They made me feel more confident about going for it, and with the tips they gave, I was able to complete it on my own. I did get a chance to browse the store a little while I was waiting, and they have some really nice home decor, which I didn't expect. I saw things like wine glasses, candy dishes, and a multitude of other items. When I have more time I would love to go back and check it out some more.

First, our rep Robert came to our house with tons of options and suggestions. He was able to give us a wide variety and help us select something that uniquely fit our style and budget. He was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly with any questions we had. When we came to the showroom, Robert dopped everything to lead us through the selection process. We could tell he was highly knowledgeable and much more intent on making us happy rather than upselling us on unnecessary products. When instillation day came our installers, Miguel and Israel, were also very professional and highly knowledgeable and skilled. Rarely have I seen harder workers than these two! Their attention to detail--such as lining up the carpet pattern on the stairs and making sure the cut pattern on the risers were balanced--was impressive. The entire job, including moving large furniture, was completed in two days. We couldn't be more pleased! We highly recommend this team for high quality products, professional treatment and advice, and an impressive installation experience.

He did just that. He even delivered a sample to my home so we could compare to the sample I had picked up elsewhere... and Floor Store and Design price was lower! What surprised me about working with Josh and Door Store and Design? I thought Josh was a salesman.. He was much more than that. He was hands on in working out details of installation. One example: I found a baseboard I liked at another place, and Josh was able to order that for me at same price as offerings at his store. He also made a personal visit at end of work to check details before I made the final payment. I also had new doors installed, and Josh coordinated work with the door contractor for smoothest completion of floors, doors and baseboards installation. It was important to me to work with a full service floor store to ensure best results. The installation team Josh sent was professional, efficient, and did a great job! Floor installer Jonathon and team were great ... always showing up on time, cleaning as they went, and were friendly and easy to have around. Most important.. they were perfectionists in their work. I learned that Jonathon had learned the trade from his father and is now working with/training his brothers. Josh's installers obviously take great pride in their work and Josh also takes great pride in managing Floor Store and Decor-Point Loma.

I had to replace a couple of pieces of molding in my condo. I went to Home Depot to get them but they didn't have them in stock. They directed me to across the parking lot to Ideal Molding. We always go to Home Depot for our mouldings, however we saw their signs one day when leaving and stopped by to check them out. They had a great selection, great prices and friendly people. Much easier to deal with and the people seemed much more personable...and it feels great to help a smaller business as well! read more

He answered a lot of my questions and that same afternoon he came to my home to take measurements and gave me an estimate. It was the best estimate of four. I had to wait about a week for the cabinets to be installed and as soon as I went and paid they installed the next day. I asked what us the discount for a late delivery since they promised one day and now they're not getting done when promised. DAVID CHOW said they don't do discounts for miscommunication. By far the most unprofessional and shady business I have dealt with.
