So off to yelp I go to find a replacement. I came across Show and Tell on a Monday. Lindsey and I had a couple of exchanges via email where I explained the vision. While they didn't have a jersey, they did have a shirt and so be it. She was able to print and have it ready for me by Thursday. I was in West Valley on Thursday, but she stuck around on a Friday afternoon until I was able to pick it up and the shirt was perfect. My best man caught the shirt and plans to toss it at his wedding.

This woman is a lifelong teacher and one of those artistic gems we never find nowadays - she worked magic. The outfit was meant to wear with no undergarments (it had a built in bra etc.) and frankly it didn't suit my body at all. She was able to detach the built in coverage, change the placement of the clasps, and the whole ensemble (an ornately adorned two piece) fit like a glove!!! I had not great experiences at the Phoenix sewing multi-brand store (not Mulqueen or Bernina). I had said I wanted to stay under $1k and had received the most appalled reaction and customer service. Contrast to Mulqueen. Walk in, all the machines are on & ready to play with. I had called to check availability of a few models and chose this location over tempe based on machines on the floor. I brought scraps with me & set to testing but was quickly confused by some of the buttons. A woman appeared right about that time, sat down next to me and walked me through it. Keep in mind this was a $500 machine not $3k or something. She even suggested a less expensive version next to it often used in their classes (Janome) ultimately decided this was too basic & I missed computerized so she walked me to the Juki I requested next & I quickly set to work testing it. This particular model (hzl f600) was over m y budget but I knew the basic functionality was similar to the ones I was considering. Absolutely loved it! Denim, slippery rayon, no issues. She said you know we might have this used. She walked me to the oasis of used/refurb machines. They had every machine I was considering-available used/refurb and under $1k!! I ultimately got the f600 used -could not be happier-and saved enough to buy way more fabric than I need. My only complaint is we need a location in Phoenix or Scottsdale!!!! The gentleman in the refurb area was also super helpful answering questions the woman couldn't (she had long gray hair but didn't catch a name). Well worth the 35 minute drive & seriously only place I will go for machines.

They even referred me to an excellent vendor to help me with the custom PJ pants. I was in a bind because I had ordered custom pajamas for my work party contest off of Amazon. After paying a $100 additional fee to be guaranteed on time delivery from that vendor, they gaslit me for weeks before finally admitted they lost my order. It was just days before my work event and I was left with nothing that I had ordered or paid for. I contacted these guys through Yelp and they were fast to respond and gave a very fair quote for the work. I ended up with a much better outfit than I originally ordered from Amazon and I even won the pj contest. I would absolutely use them again and I am very happy with my whole experience from beginning to end!
