During the procedure, he remained under anesthesia for an extended period while the veterinarian attempted to obtain permission to remove a second tooth. A second opinion later advised that the additional extraction was not immediately necessary and may not be needed for years. About 10 days after the procedure, our dog developed significant fur loss and a severe skin infection. Another veterinary office and a friend who works at an emergency vet hospital indicated that the wound pattern was most consistent with a thermal injury, which can be associated with warming devices used during anesthesia. When we raised concerns, we were told he may have had a rash at admission, and that details would need to be confirmed with the veterinarian. The clinic has stated they use a forced-air warming system rather than heating pads and has denied that an injury of this nature could have occurred there. We were charged over $700 for MRSA and ringworm testing, and a possible thermal injury was never discussed. Antibiotics were nearly discontinued before the infection had fully resolved because lab results were pending. The first photo shows his condition 10 days after the cleaning; the second shows 4 weeks later. The infection has resolved, but the wound is still healing. We are deeply disappointed by both the outcome of our dog's care and the way our concerns were handled afterward. We expected transparency, accountability, and genuine concern. Instead, we received inconsistent information from staff, shifting explanations, and no meaningful acknowledgment of responsibility. Most troubling was the complete lack of empathy shown during our conversations. At no point did we feel that our dog's wellbeing or our concerns were taken seriously. Compassionate care includes honesty, accountability, and concern when complications arise. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

After or first boarding experience, we knew we had found the BEST place for our babies...even added a 3rd baby along the way. I really enjoyed using the web cameras to check in on our pups every now and then. The staff was really nice at check in and check out. We will certainly use CBW again when we go out of town.
