Parking was packed on my visit to Lynnwood Library this afternoon, Wednesday 2 July 2025. The…read morelibrary abutted the recreational center though there was library-specific parking on the side of the library opposite the recreational center. Tall trees between the parking strips provided shade for the parked vehicles. The entry/exit way of the building was straightforward to navigate and sections in the library were well marked. I was particularly impressed with the non-fiction offerings in the movies section. They were organized by subject with names on movie jacket bindings easy to read. Approximate run times for the titles I checked were not covered by library barcodes. As run time did factor in in to my selection today, I appreciated the run times were not covered. Check-out went smoothly.

They will help you with so many things and never make you feel bad about it. There is a bathroom and you have to get a token from the staff to unlock it. You can use a laptop (they don't have desktops to use) and print from those. You can also send something from your home computer to print at the library. Sometimes there is a line waiting for the printer but it's not usually too bad. They have a small selection of books but you can pick up holds here and they do have a section of new releases. They have children's programs each week. I've never been to one but they look interesting. There is a security guard there when they are open. I have never felt unsafe but the area does have some crime. The parking is pretty good. It's in a strip mall so there is a large parking lot. I've never had to park too far.

I made my appt online, arrived, texted to say I'm here, and they confirmed via text a 3 minute wait. SO EASY!!! So happy. These things were always dreadful, but no more, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Got my Enhanced Drivers License done, handed me my temp license, a few questions, verified my documents, took photo, paid, done. My advisor, she was very professional, friendly, prompt. What a gem! My daughter and I went the morning of the first day they opened after the Covid-19…read moreclosure. We had the place to ourselves and spent an enjoyable hour taking in the surroundings and interpretive signs. The signs identify as well as speak of the traditional usage of the various plants by NW tribes along with the legends of the Coast Salish. There are a wealth of habitats and cultural perspectives represented here. Truly a haven for nature and humanity. The Cedar Cathedral has forever changed the way I view PNW forests. The gift shop is small but rich in literature and local art. The volunteers we met throughout the center were friendly and personally invested in the conservation work of the foundation. Admission is reasonable and a membership option is available for those who wish to further support Adopt A Stream. Easy access to the center from the ferry and freeway. Convenient parking available free of charge. The only public restroom is a portable one in the neighboring park. There are picnic tables outside the gate.
