I really loved going to this library every week as it was a good place to be and hangout with my…read morefriends, but recently i was with a group of my friends around the recetangular table in the middle, then a random guy comes out of nowhere yelling gibberish about how my friends and I where on the second floor disturbing him (me and my friends on this day were not at all on the second floor) and while saying these things, he came next to me and he clenched his fist ready to punch me. I was really scared for my life (being a high-school teenager) but the security guard, the staff and the people around us did nothing, and I and my friends were frozen in fear, the guy randomly left, so we thought he came to his senses or he realized that we were never in the second floor, so we continued on our own business. Then suddenly 10 or minutes after that, the guy shoved me hard and I knocked down one of my friends that was sitting next to me, so the rest of my friends left calmly, to call security or ask for help, and the guy that shoved me kept talking more gibberish about us in the second floor bothering him, so the person next to me was desperately trying to explain we were never in the second floor today, (keep mind that nobody including the security guards did anything, I don't think they even cared) then the guy randomly called his dog on the second floor in the library (and keep in mind that pets are strictly not allowed in the library and I was so scared the dog was going to maul me) and then the guy was yelling for the security to come (which up on to this point was literally doing nothing) and he told the security guard that we were on the second floor bothering him (the security guard knew we never were on the second floor) the security guard then said to me and the guy that we will be kicked out if we don't stop bothering each other, the guy then left to the second floor(and I was thinking thats it? You're not going to do anything about himself assaulting me?) And I was so shocked that the people around me, the security guard and the staff did nothing about this. (Also keep in mind that one time me and my friend was throwing around a light ball in the library and we were threatened to be kicked out of the library and we had to really apologize to be not kicked out) so if I throw around a ball I get kicked out of the library but if a random guy assaults me he gets of scott free. (I don't feel safe anymore in this library especially when the staff didn't care a vulnerable high-school kid was being assaulted infront of them)

We were there for a couple hours and could have stayed longer if naps weren't a thing. I like that they have a "needs to be cleaned" bin, cause my toddler still likes to put things in his mouth! There were a bunch of other kids and it was just a great place to get some social interaction and playtime. And it's FREE. Wins all around, thank you!

Inside it…read morelooks newer, clean, spacious, and there are plenty of different areas to study and read like the comfy chairs at the end by the fireplace or within the book cases. So peaceful. I was immediately greeted by the folks at the middle desk and as I studied I could hear them kindly checking in on others and helping out. They're friendly here, I definitely loved the vibe. I chose a large table in the fiction section where there was a magical looking Hobbit painting and giant windows on the sides. Even on a cloudy day these windows provide a lot of natural light and it's a motivating spot to sit and get work done. You can even sit at the window sill and really enjoy the light. I was happy to find my table had an outlet on the desk for convenience but there are also outlets laid out everywhere. A huge plus! The computer areas are also scattered throughout instead of it being a large area where you have to sit with everyone and I thought that was pretty cool. Another plus for the study room fully equipped! However, online it says they're currently not available but I'm looking forward to it opening back up!

Because I am so thankful that they still exist! It's quiet. They have free Wi-Fi, comfy chairs, lots of stuff to read and every magazine and newspaper you can think of. They even had a little craft project at the end of class that tied into the book theme. We really enjoyed that. The songs were so fun and interactive and the staff leader was so sweet with the kids. The library was very very clean and organized. So far my favorite Snohomish location we have checked out yet. Looking forward to the nexts story time.
