We brought our son for a simple procedure at Snodgrass-King Pediatric Dental Associates in Mt. Juliet on July 1, 2013 and the hygienist/dental tech who came to work with him whose name is *REDACTED* was terribly rude to him and dismissive of both my wife and I when we questioned the procedures she said he was getting which were completely different from what is stated in the written treatment plan and much more than we brought him in for. Shortly after bringing him back into the treatment area, where parents aren't allowed, the hygienist/dental tech *REDACTED* came out to talk to my wife and I to tell us that our son was having a lot of trouble calming down (the way she described it it sounded like a panic attack, though in her words he was having a tantrum) and threatened to put him in a manual restraint that resembled a weighted straitjacket - we had already witnessed her yelling at him and telling him that she had other patients to see and didn't have time for his behavior (read: anxiety). At that point I demanded she bring our son out so we could leave. It ended with the three of us leaving disrespected and angry. Hygienist/dental tech *REDACTED* was quick to tell us she wanted to restrain our child if he didn't calm down, but she never attempted to explain to us why the treatment plan had mysteriously changed or what he was doing that would require him to be put in a manual restraint (especially since my wife and I are both special education teachers with certifications in several types of physical restraint techniques). Now I am on a mission to find contact information for Dr. David Snodgrass, Dr. John T. King, and Dr. Cara Corning. Dr. Corning is apparently the doc in charge of the Mt. Juliet office, or so I was told by the receptionist. Never again will we use the services of anyone associated with Snodgrass-King Pediatric Dental Associates! read more

This is simply my personal opinion, but mainly due to the fact that we tend to do things together as a family - and I was not allowed to go into the procedure room with my children. For other families, children may cry and want mommy or perhaps some children do not behave when a parent is present; however, for our family - it is comfort and preference that we be together. Another observation is that they intended to give my children nitrous without even asking me about it. My children happen to not need it. They have been guided and told what is expected from them as far as behavior and I explained in detail how the shot would feel ("like it's 'going through your ear'", just a little sting but not much, etc.). The staff is very professional. The office itself is very entertaining for all. I do not like their "one size fits all" where no parent is allowed in the back - "it's just our policy." And they shouldn't assume that my children will need to be sedated. It is thus my policy to find a new dentist. Management will be wise to listen. Several mom chat groups in town have all posted to one another with passionate agreement that they do not like the policy of not being able to stay with their children. Perhaps at least a first time chance should be given and then what's best determined from there - because some parents are truly a distraction. They told me 'there's not much room' in their working area and 'it's our policy' and 'kids do better without their parent' and 'everything is sterilized, so...'. Even my next door neighbor, mother of two, said she would have walked out. So... I am moving on. read more

I had to have 9 baby teeth extracted before they were ready to come out by my previous dentist in Idaho, which was very painful and felt like a nightmare, so when Heidi said they would need to extract a baby tooth that wouldn't come out I cringed in fear. I went through with the extraction and was very pleased, no pain just a floppy, numb mouth afterwards which isn't a problem. When Heidi told me that I would need an expander and braces because I had an especially small mouth and lots of crowding (I can barely muster up the courage to pull so-loose-they are-about-to-fall-out-of-my-head baby teeth out) I almost picked up the set of fake teeth they keep on the table next to the chairs and threw it at the wall as a diversion so I could run out of the building to safety, but before I could Heidi assured me that every thing was going to be just fine and that I would be very happy with the outcome. I now have had my upper braces taken off, I have a clear retainer that I wear and I am finishing up with my bottom braces, I am very, very happy with the outcome. The expander was for a very short time and there were no problems. I have had a lot of work done with Snodgrass-King and Heidi, Katy, Jessie, Dr. Hobbs and the kids hygenists have all been wonderful and have walked me through every step of what they are about to do before they even look at any of their tools. I would like to thank them for how wonderful of a job they have done for me and let other people know that they will do the same for them. I'm a very hard person to please. So don't take this comment casually. Great Visit today Desk Clerks were Friendly and welcoming when I checked in and as I was leaving. Hygienist was Friendly, very professional and knowledgeable of my dental needs. The Dentist had good "Chair side manner" He shook my hand coming in, he was thorough in explaining my dental situation to me, patient when he responded to my many questions. And just as an extra touch of respect and love he even patted me on the shoulders when he left the room. I truly appreciate the extra steps that were taken to make me feel special today. Thanks! As well the building is clean, you can tell that the janitorial crew is top notch. In the year 2016 its hard if not totally impossible to just get friendly service of any kind any where. My kids have been going to Snodgrass and King for years. One out of three still go there. The other two are grownup now with children of their own. However, this was our first time at this location. I appreciate the welcoming of one of the receptions, not able to recall her name. One of them was not so welcoming as a customer service receptions. I love the work of the dentist at Snodgrass and King. But, I know the first point of contact is very important. Thank you. read more

We always have a great experience at Snodgrass-King. My two teenage boys don't dread their appointments as they have in the past at other providers. My youngest son has had great anxiety around dental appointments with other providers, Snodgrass-King has made this a thing of the past and he is able to have dental work done without anesthesia. My wife and I also are very happy with the staff and service we receive at both offices. read more

Everyone has always done their best to ensure both our kids are happy especially after their dental appointments. They provide advise on how to ensure their teeth are taken care of the right way. Also, we didn't wait that long to be called in. From the time we came in, to the time both kids' teeth are taken cared of, to the time we had to leave... did not even take an hour which was perfect! Clair and Katherine did an amazing job on my cavity. No pain during or after. Very happy with this office. Amber did my cleaning a couple weeks ago and she too was amazing. I really liked how she explained to me her job as my dental hygienist. She also tells the whys to what she doing and explains things. I'd say best dentist office I have been too. read more

I love the girls at this office! They are amazing. When i first walked in the office a yr ago i needed alot of work done. Dr George made a plan with me and Catherine and we have been able to stick to it. They have do amazing work and treat their customers great too. Morgan has worked with me through all of it. Mrs. Judy Langston was AMAZING. She is very gental and I barely felt anything. I didn't have to wait at all even though i was a few minutes late. super quick and even had time to get a filling. I was given a blanket because the heat wasn't working and they had a heater going also. Filling went perfect. read more

Every person I've encountered at Snodgrass at Mt. Juliet/Providence has been very friendly and it comes across as very genuine.
