This place is honestly unbelievable, and not in a good way. I paid to enjoy the pool, but instead got one of the most frustrating and pointless experiences ever. The rules are completely over the top. You have to be 16+ just to use the hot tub, which already feels excessive, but banning pool noodles is next level ridiculous. I didn't even bring one, they literally had a whole bin of them there, just sitting there that no one is allowed to use. What is even the point of that? Then, after paying, I was forced to wait 30 minutes for absolutely no clear reason. No explanation, no organization, just standing around while time was wasted. It honestly felt like they didn't care at all. And the sanitation? Questionable at best. For a place that's supposed to be about swimming and cleanliness, it did not feel clean or well-maintained. Overall, this place manages to be strict, disorganized, and underwhelming all at once. Charging people for this kind of experience is wild. We booked open swim for our two young girls and enjoyed ourselves. Lots of pool and rec space for swim. Shallow area, water tower, lazy river, whirlpool and a slide. It was super crowded when we were there, but I have heard it can be packed. I think the locker/changing room areas need an update or maybe just cleaned more frequently. But otherwise we had a good time and will be back. read more

We enrolled in the swimming classes for summer 2025 and they are amazing! We have tried the Lake Stevens swim classes for the same age group in the past but the Aquatic Center is amazing! Today was one-on-one with the teacher and getting used to the water. There was some instructions for the kiddos and they did great listening! I definitely recommend giving this place a shot. They have a shallow end for the kiddos. LSH didn't have a shallow end. They have an awesome snack counter with drinks and coffee. Everything you need for swim meats. There is also a large gift shop right when you walk in. We look forward to the rest of the classes as the summer progresses. read more

This is a large indoor aquatic center. It's basically your community indoor pool on steroids. It has a large lap pool, but also a sizable kids play area, and even has a small Florider machine. The Florider sessions last one hour and are reasonably priced. This is a pretty unique facility for the area. This pool gave both me and the person I am a caregiver for, a severe rash, called swimmers itch, immediately after exiting the pool, verified by a Doctor! The water is not properly treated! Beware! The staff is very rude and made my client and myself feel very uncomfortable! Also we never felt welcomed! I had our towels and clean clothes in our swimming bags and manager several times, asked us if we were 'moving in' to their facility? Crazy ! The bathrooms are filthy ! People also eat popcorn at the hot tub, allowed by the lifeguards, and dismissed my concern! An unbelievable but true story! A very sad place! The hours for the River walk are bad, when they cut hours and raising prices for people who need it medically! I would tell anyone to stay away from this facility! read more

A nice indoor pool option that is BUSY! There is a play structure, some pool balls/toys, basketball hoop, big slide. I appreciate also they provide life jackets and the pool is quite comfortably warm. It just feels..chaotic because there are SO many children in it! The wave rider is fun although variable experience the 2 times we used it in terms of the quality of the person supervising it. The first time he was great. Was encouraging, gave tips, helped the kids take turns, did some tricks himself to the delight of the kids and adults alike. The 2nd time a different guy was totally checked out. I think was there just to make sure no one seriously injured themselves. Didn't help much with encouraging littler kids and didn't help mediate taking turns. Parents of older 2 boys who essentially took the majority of time slot didn't say anything either as we patiently waited. My first time here was very enjoyable, and I will definitely come back. Even on a busy Labor Day, everything was very clean and safe and well-staffed. This is truly a community pool for all ages, with lots of fun activities to get people comfortable with being in the water and having a good time in a safe environment. This used to be such a fun place, but has really gone downhill. My family came in early December and was disappointed to find the slide wasn't working....though they were still charging full price. Came back again yesterday with my kids and not only was the slide still not working, but the lazy river wasn't working, nor was the hot tub. Yup, still charging me full price for what was now basically nothing more than access to the pool. Hope they get these things fixed....otherwise they are taking advantage of the customers that have supported them for years. read more

It's a fun place to spend sometime, mostly targeted for families with kids. Having said that the flowrider is a lot of fun. You can also do body board. When we went on a Sunday we had to pay a little extra for access to the flowrider and then took turns of about 1.5 min. You spend a bit of time waiting for your turn, there were about 7 people. The water slide was fun too, but it became repetitive after 3 times. Tip: Bring a lock and a towel and anything you need for a shower. read more

This place is SO cool. Our friends reserved an hour for the family pool to celebrate a birthday and we had the whole place to ourselves. I think the deepest that one goes is 6FT but I might be wrong. The pools are divided by different areas, kiddy area and jungle gym, a walk in low area, basketball hoop, and even a slide! It was so fun and many lifeguards on duty. This place is giant and fun and a great place to take the kids on the weekends. There's a huge water slide. There's also a fun playground for the littles. Beautiful clean water especially in competition pool (10 lanes, temperature cool for lap swimmers, and suppressing bacterial growth). Multiple other aquatic options including a winding, flowing "river " for walking and shallow warmer water pools for water aerobics and other activities. Hot tub and "surf " pools are available...when repairs are completed. Pleasant and helpful staff help with scheduling and supervision, and the water quality is excellent with a barely detectable salinity. A fantastic value for the price! read more

Place never has ANY public swim times and are always at the worst times. They over charge with 0 family rate for drop in swims & your kids must only wear their life jackets , yours are not allowed to bring anything to help aid which is ridiculous. We had family with young kids in town so we took the kids to the SAC. The pool was busy, but there was enough room to squeeze another 3 kids. I was surprised it only costs $5 per person or $20 for a family. However, there is an additional fee of $10 to use Flow Rider. There were 3 lifeguards on duty and they were pretty good about making sure there was no diving or horseplaying in the pool. The kids enjoyed the lazy river and the slide. They also have small function rooms for private parties along with a gift shop and snack counter. If there was one thing I would say needs improvement, it would be the lack of changing rooms. For a facility (and several pools) this size, there should be more lockers and changing rooms. Also, a few more benches along the perimeter and water toys would be appreciated. read more

Rash on my body and itchy feet. I've never had an issue and grew up with a pool actually. No sensitive skin. Basically the people at Open Swim were normal during the day the times I've come before. Now we are in the dead of winter and the night open swim had alllll sorts of people some showing signs of being kinda gross... one little girl had a snotty nose and wet cough in the tot play area... others who to be nice I won't try to describe but I was like gosh I really hope we don't get sick or something. Well I have had itchy feet since an hour after I left. And today I have splotchy rashy areas on my body. It sucks too because I thought the lifeguards were great. The wave rider was awesome. My kids love it. Tot area is good except I HATE the dumping water and metal stairs and sharp edges on those stairs (dumb design). It's saltwater so I have no idea if they use the same chemicals as a chlorine pool. Point being even if you don't SEE unhygienic people at your swim class or open swim, you do not know who is in the pool on the other hours. I really cannot come back. This is disgusting. People really don't seem to care about being clean or not coming to the public pool while sick or with contagious rashes. AND yes of course I showered while there with soap and hot water!! This place is okay to visit with your family and kids but DO NOT have a birthday party there. Today's experience was really bad. So bad that most of our guests were wondering if this is how they normally operate and if it is to never have a birthday party there. For starters it was extremely busy at the pool. Extremely busy! We were told we had 15 minutes to set up for our party (from 3:45 to 4) but we literally had 5 minutes to set up for our party with all of our guests waiting outside. Guests ended up all pitching in to help set up the room after we got it at 4pm and was told we had to be out at 4:45. If you're planning to go with their generic balloons and plates then you're set but if you plan to have your own decoration/table etc this is not your place because you'll not have the time to do it. Upon arrival we were told they were not sure which room we'll get so we handed all of our stuff to the staff to set up when we had the room. We just got home from the party and realized that a number of the stuff we handed to the staff didn't even make it to the birthday party and because it was so chaotic we didn't notice. For example we had a big platter of turkey sandwiches (30 of them) that disappeared and never made it to the party. All of our guests were just amazed at how disorganized the whole thing was because they give no time in between parties to clean and set up. We ended up not using any of our banner/decoration or anything because all of our guests were done swimming and waiting for the 4 o'clock start and we weren't even given the room til 4. It was very stressful and chaotic and the staff seemed very inexperienced to answer any questions. ps we also came home with birthday gifts that are not our child's! I had a 3.5, 7 and 9yo with me and all had a great time. Big swimming space for small children and lots of life jackets. Not enough family restrooms. They had food and price wasn't as bad as other places. They have a little store at entrance if you forget any swim gear! Extremely disappointed in the party package. Started out fine. Great space. Would have preferred to have more chairs in the room, other than the 12 for the kids at the table. Also another table needed for gifts. The info states "45 min in party room" they don't tell you you have to be cleaned up and out in that 45 min. The staff is coming in and setting up for another party before the time is up! They give you no time to get your stuff out after, yet the info says "party room must be cleaned up by the end of the scheduled hour". After the 45 min party, give the people who paid $225 their 15 min to clean up! Or tell people they have 30 min in the party room... That's what it lends to! All the guests parents were thoroughly disgusted with this and the rude staff. None of them will ever book a party here and will be sure to pass the word. I used to like it here. It's close to home, has plenty of pool to swim and splash around in and a sweet play structure for the littles. BUT recently, the staff came up with the bull crap rule that during evening lessons little ones were not allowed to play on said structure. Excuse me, WHAT????? What kind of stupid crap is that??? How are children who are waiting for their older siblings supposed to stay entertained and build their confidence if the structure is off limits?????? I spoke with one of the "managers" who tried to explain to me that it's policy courtesy of the Board of Health that it was off limits. and that because there "weren't enough lifeguards" to watch the area, kids weren't allowed on the slides. Ok. I might buy that. But there are more than enough parents around. What, SAC staff? You don't think parents are capable of watching their own children and jumping in at a moments notice if needed? My question still wasn't answered: Snohomish Aquatic Center staff: HOW DO YOU EXPECT CHILDREN TO ENTERTAIN THEMSELVES AND TO BUILD THEIR CONFIDENCE IN THE WATER IF THEY'RE NOT ALLOWED ON THE PLAY STRUCTURE???????? I expect an answer to this. And while you're at it, you can answer my question about this: do you not think that a child's parents or guardians are perfectly capable of watching their children and jumping in if needed????? I realize that they have plenty of people who still like the pool so they won't care that we are done with them. If they change that ridiculous rule and allow children back on the play structure, maybe I'll come back. But in the meantime, I'm finding another pool. read more

Been looking for a pool to match the one we lost when we moved away from Portland and this is the one. Excellent kids shallow pool, great slide, nice lazy river and a great big kids pool. Haven't tried the surf pool yet but will. My sleeping six year old was proof positive she had a great time. Only caveat is we went to 12pm open swim on a Saturday and it was pretty packed but still fine. We will try open swim other days this summer. read more

We had a swim birthday party here for my 12-year old with about 14 kids and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and professional even though they were busy. Love that they do the setup and cleanup (unlike a competitor in a nearby city) and had refrigerator sink and microwave in the room as well. Cost included beautiful balloon bouquets (2) and pretty plates, napkins, forks. The kids had a ball in the pool and flowrider and the party was for 3 hours, giving them ample time to swim and play. Everyone was so happy - it made for a great party experience. I would recommend this for a birthday party - it's a wonderful facility. read more

This place was so much fun for the kids and the people were so extremely nice. Much different than there service I got down in Lynnwood. We have not lived here very long but I can definitely tell that I am more angry with the people in Snohomish then Lynnwood. The people up here are just much nicer and the people down in Lynnwood you can tell that they work for a government type of agency. Me and my kid showed up at 11:30 to go swimming with the place half full and they told me they couldn't let us in because the next service wasn't until 1:30. Instead of looking at the pool and seeing that it was half full and letting us pay and come in they just totally rejected us. So I called Snohomish and the lady was super nice and said sure we can let you in with no hassles. As far as this place they have a really cool kids play area I also have a really cool slide a place that kids can jump from the side and learn to swim and the lazy river is what a lazy river is supposed to be a really moves you kids had a blast all day long totally recommend this place. read more
