But despite that notion, Jacob's Well overall is very underwhelming. The hike is probably the shortest and least challenging I've ever experienced. There are several mini trails that are great for kids to explore, along with a large tire swing at the front entrance. Jacob's Well is definitely very kid- and senior-friendly as it's not very strenuous at all to hike or walk around. It's a nice that it's there for everyone to experience nature but again, very underwhelming. We spent about half an hour there which was enough time to experience the entire area. Definitely worth a visit if it's your first time in Wimberley.

we got there around 10:30am on a saturday and were in the water by 11ish, (we were chilling in the…read morecar). the parking situation at that time is overall the best seeing as how packed it was getting by the time we left around 1pmish. check in was smooth and fast since there was no lines at that hour. we got our tubes and made our way to the entrance of the river bed. people were friendly, music was being played by others and it was very pleasant. water is at the perfect temperature too. the shuttle on the way back to our car was very fast, we stood in line for maybe 10 mins? def recommend!!

The store had misc items that you might've forgotten, drinks, snacks and a pool table inside. There is also a place to order burgers, pizzas, etc near the store which was affordable and the burgers are pretty good. The campgrounds have spots for RV with power and water hookups, also primitive RV spots as well. Tent camping spots all have outlets so you can a run a fan, charge your phone etc (no AC). The campgrounds are clean and staff made sure the trash bins stayed empty, the bathrooms and shower facilities are clean and up-kept. Definitely can't wait to return.
