Most importantly, my mother in law was treated with respect, kindness, and dignity, which meant everything to our family. Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated, and Charian is coordinating the arrangements for her to be delivered to us in California. Matthew went out of his way to console my husband and offered him words of comfort and strength during an incredibly difficult time. I finally made contact with Yolanda after she had been out of the office on personal matters. Yolanda was unprofessional, rude, disrespectful and dismissive. Yolanda verbiage while speaking with me on the phone was unpleasant and she lacked self control in inserting herself into family issues that is not her concern. No one asked her opinion on anything pertaining to the situation although her distasteful opinion was given. Customers have the right to choose the facility that will best serve their loved one and Yolanda and her nasty attitude towards me as a family member was "disrespectful." Hopefully Mr Love will replace Yolanda with someone that has more decorum and respect for their clients. Better yet send her to a customer service class, no one wants to deal with a trifling person in times of grief.

This place has been here since 1912, so it is now 103 years old. The building certainly looks like it has been here this long too. The staff here were extremely friendly, professional and did a fantastic job handling the services. I honestly could not have expected more, they were great. They made him look beautiful. Owens N H and Son Funeral Home has a fleet of brand new limos and a hearse, the inside of the Funeral Home is well equipped to handle about 100 people or more and they have a piano and other types of media equipment. The most shocking and devastating act was they rolled an "open" casket with another man's body into the chapel before people left the service. Some people that thought their deceased loved one was still there, turned to say a final goodbye to be humiliated and profoundly shocked by looking into the face of another dead body. Clearly the funeral home's greatest concern appeared to be about "making money" only. We learned later they'd scheduled the funeral service and the viewing of another body only "one" hour apart. Additionally, the announcement for the services wasn't posted on their website until "days"after the funeral. Simply heartbreaking. And I had to reminnd them I purchased an urn and they still give me the ashes in the black box instead of the urn. I was told noone was there to transfer the ashes to the urn and that I could leave them (after waiting 2 extra days for them to even get the ashes in). So no I wasn't going to leave her with them an extra day. My children had to do the transfer because I broke down crying when I attempted. My experience with them was very disappointing.
