Location was great but service was terrible. We booked the room through Priceline and were given a room with one king bed but had four people in our party. After repeated efforts to get a room with two beds my children had to sleep on the floor. We were told that the hotel does not have roll away beds or mattresses. What is most frustrating is that the front desk said they would work on the room change but never called us back. This happened twice. A simple call back would have nice. Safety is a concern! They gave us a room right next to the external door. When we left early in the morning for our flight we found the side external door was left open overnight. We also noticed an unknown person coming into the hotel at that hour (4:00 am). That was a safety concern. Overall, we were extremely upset with service and won't be coming back to this hotel. read more

I gave it four stars because the accommodations are better than the Hampton Inn. Hampton inn does have a complimentary breakfast. We have to be at the airport at 5:00, so we won't even get complimentary coffee. Everything is new or updated. It is bright with a wildlife theme. read more

**Overnighter only** the staff was really nice! The restaurant above the lobby was really good! Our king bed was really comfortable. But the $200 overnighter room (king suite) cleanliness was a little eh... the couch looked like it had sand on it and the bathroom wasn't very clean.. and the location of our room was right next to a door and smoke area and you could hear conversations clear as day. So it wasn't the quietest rooms... Would stay there again as it looked like there was a couple activities to do and your close enough to take the city bus lines around town. Will be a little more picky with the room location and cleanliness next time. read more

Booked a 2 night stay in a satellite condo. $1300. (THIRTEEN. HUNDRED. DOLLARS.)(2. Nights.) A couple of nights in the first week of June, completely out of season. This satellite room, that boasts access to everything the resort offers is 500 yards away from the resort. Have a handicap? Nothing they can do. The first moment we checked in we complained about EVERY SINGLE ONE the a/c thermostats scattered throughout the unit saying the temp was 80°. There is no exaggeration when I say we complained about the a/c every 4 hours of our stay, for 36 hours. Here is where the 1star review earns its keep. We were told by ONE Front Office Manager, ONE Mid Shift Lead, and THREE Front Desk employees that maintenance would look at the a/c. After we received ZERO help with an a/c unit, and stayed in a 3 room condo for 2 days, we contacted the highest ranking manager we could get our internet fingers on. Y'all know what he told us? The unit DIDN'T HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. $1300 FOR 2 NIGHTS. And instead of admitting it to us immediately, the staff was told to lie to us about maintenance going there. FOR TWO DAYS. We were given the run around for 2 days. Stay away from this complete garbage, not worth it, resort. It is supposed to be the best in Jackson Hole. Riiiiiight. Stay somewhere else. I was visiting Jackson in the summer and stayed at this resort. I paid a high price ($195 at a discount) to listen to the elevators roar all night and day. The first morning, I couldn't even take a shower because the knob in the shower was broken. In fairness, they did fix it in about an hour, but by then I had to leave to join the group of people I was visiting. My view was of nothing, some grass a hill. My room was below grade. My room was clean though, and they did fix the shower. The location is good. So I gave it 2 stars. read more

so the room, with the exception of the tub/shower was nice. comfortable & clean.....the shower/tub, not so much. the handles were coming apart and the worse part there was mold that hadn't been cleaned. the price is too high, not to have a nice and more importantly, hygienic bathroom also, the restaurant in the hotel had good food, at a decent price, but the service from the waiter was lacking. he took our order, brought our drinks and disappeared. someone else brought out the food. he never came back to check if the food was ok or to offer drink refills. he then ended up spending about 15 mins at a neighboring table talking about salt lake city. This resort is so nice and charming. I wish I could've stayed longer but I only stayed for the night. A city bus runs through here that'll take you into town and the mountain view in the morning takes your breath away. I never knew Jackson Hole could be so beautiful. The service here is great and the shuttle drivers are entertaining and knowledgeable. I loved hearing stories about the Elk and Moose that roam around. Amenities are great and the rooms are clean. I enjoyed my stay and can't wait to return! read more

3.5 stars is what I would give this hotel if it was an option. I don't have anything bad to say and would stay here again- good product for value. My first impression was w a very rude wedding crowd at the bar the first night (not hotels fault). The bartenders were great tho (as were the wings). The rooms are average size (throw a couple big suitcases and skis in the mix and it gets kinda small). Negatives- no fridge in room, Our shower leaked and our tv reception wasn't good- none were deal breakers. Room was cleaned great every night, sheets and bedding were nice too. Front desk folks were very nice and helpful. There is a hot tub but it was packed most the time. Also there is a ski rental place inside hotel which is super convenient. We stayed here last minute for two nights and had a great time. Coming out of the woods after a few days backpacking, I was just excited to shower. I wish I would've come here with my girlfriend because the beds were amazing. What woman doesn't love a good bed with expensive sheets? And the shower heads were great too.....it's all about the small stuff here. You could tell the whole building had been recently updated and the staff were very helpful. I used the pool and the gym was more than just treadmills, which was a nice bonus. It's not downtown, but it's only a short walk(10-15 minutes) to all the bars/restaurants. read more

The location and condos on the hill above the hotel are really quite nice. Unfortunately, the staff at this establishment were less than friendly and not that together. I would even go so far as to call them flakey. The food in the Atrium restaurant was really boring for the price as well. Have stayed both in the hotel and the Pitchfork condos for a medical conference held at the Snow King conference room - have to say the hotel rooms are nice but dark (limited lighting) and the condos are nice but on the "worn" side, i.e., needs to be refurbished. But, we were happy with the full sized refridgerator, oven/stove and microwave. Location is great whether in the hotel or condo, within a 5 minute walk into town - best to stay out and enjoy the town of Jackson! read more

The resort is good but the services were very bad. We stayed for a night. The shower drain was clogged and we called front desk. They said they will arrive in a minute as we were in rush to check out. But they did not show up for about 30-45 min. We were so disappointed. And apart from that, they charged 35$ for resort fee which is useless in winter. The pool is closed. read more

Every year my family takes a vacation for Thanksgiving. We used to go from place to place, experiencing new and unforgettable places..... until we went to Jackson Hole and stayed at The Snow King Resort. After our first visit there we knew we were home. The condos are amazing. Large and comfortable, plenty of storage space for large, cold weather clothes. Every room has a spectacular view. It's extremely peaceful and quiet. Nice kitchens, stocked with everything you would need to make a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner. The resort is located in a great place, it's extremely easy to find your way around town. I can't use enough words to express how angry and disappointed I am at this hotel. With all the fancy decors and facilities, it sure is all just "decor". We are traveling with family, seven people in total, and WE DID NOT GET THE ROOM WE PREPAID FOR. Example: $400/room per night, and we get ONE queen bed to share among a family of 3. When I asked about the problem at the front desk, Brittany did not seem one bit apologetic, instead she "referred" us to a different hotel, pushed us around like luggages. Most people are in vacation here at Yellowstone, this is not how an ideal vacation start. I would give zero star if I could, and I hope you understand why. read more

The hotel is nice and the service while you are staying (even with Covid restrictions) was fine. My issue is I paid for a reservation with my credit card for a 3 night stay on April 28 staying Oct 9, 10, 11. When we checked in the gentleman at the front desk said I see you have already paid for your stay. I will just need a card for hotel incidentals. I totally understood when $20.00 was charged to my card on Oct 12, but then they turned around and charged my card another $138.72 for lodging. I have called the resort numerous times and left messages at the front desk 3 times and with a reservation clerk (the only person that actually answers a phone) who took my information and said she would give it to her manager and they would call me to clear up the charge on my card. I have not received the courtesy of a phone call. I am still waiting for that promised phone call!!! read more

I so wanted to be able to leave a good review but never have I had such a bad hotel/resort experience outside of staying at a questionable roadside motel while cash strapped in my 20's. Upon fist sight all seemed nice, but then we got to our room and after an all day drive I had to use the bathroom. The toilet did not flush the paper. Tried again, and again. No luck. Called front desk and maintained came right away, plunged flushed, and left. Had to go again and same thing, TP would not go down. To tired to deal so just did it South American style for the rest of the night (TP in trash bin). Morning comes and Husband does his #2. No flush luck. We called front desk explained the problem and let them know we would be in the park all day and expected the issue resolved. Got back around 5pm and guess what! #2 was still in the room. Called front desk, was told they didn't know about it. Room service never came so I guess must be a severe lack of shift change communication. Husband bitches, we request a room change but woman at front desk said there were no rooms to be moved to. Maintenance shows up and after 20 min and listening to 50 plus flushes husband checks Expedia, low and behold there are plenty of rooms. Yet another call to front desk after being told there was no manager available on site (right, a supposedly fully booked hotel and no manager on duty) a lot of hubby angry a manager helps and guess what? We got a new room. That was the worst part but there were few small things that really should not have been an issue. There was zero info in the room. I understand removing all the usual hotel binder with all the hotel information but they replaced it with nothing. Seriously a printed or copied piece of paper would have been nice. Are they not offering stay over housekeeping? We didn't get it both days (good thing we bought our own kcups and coffee cups). They have do not disturb signs but no please make up the room ones. We only wanted coffee fresh plastic cups (we had a bad batch where 2 out of 4 had slices in them causing red wine to drip before we noticed) we didn't need towels but usually a sign is in the room letting you know whats up. Oh and no info on how to use the safe, we have used hotel safes many times but quite frankly I didn't trust the possiblty of needing a locksmith if we did manage to get it open to use. The manager of this lousy establishment just kicked us out because our autistic son is "too loud" and "might disturb other customers." Yeah, right. It's 1:10pm on a Thursday so I asked the 2 guys drinking at the bar if they were being "disturbed" and they are ok with him. So basically if you want to support an establishment that believes it is acceptable to refuse to serve an autistic person, this will be your favorite place in JH. On the other hand, if you think it's not right to shun people with differences, you might want to avoid this disgusting place. read more

My family of five stayed here in 2000. We stayed in the condos. Carpeted stairs with a man can down stairs. I fell asleep downstairs watching tv. The kids loved going up and down the steps. We ordered pizza probally mountain high pizza pie at the time. read more

I hardly write reviews but I had to on this one, so others don't have to experience what we did. I bought a weekend trip for my boyfriend here for the holiday weekend. I found a somewhat good deal off expedia. The website was nice and the reviews were pretty good. We were most excited about how close it was to the mountain and to downtown. AND that it had a heated hot tub and pool! Not sooo much. We checked in on Friday night around 8, the front desk lady was meh, kinda nice not too friendly and not very informational. The parking for the rooms are weird. You park a parking lot further up from the lobby and there's not many spots. Which is not great when it's -12 degrees outside. You go inside the 4th floor, to get to your room. Except that's all she told us, and our room was in the 100's, so we got in the elevator and there was no first floor. We were confused, so I called the lobby, and they said its on the lobby floor. Okay, that would have been helpful if mentioned. We get to our room, pretty nice "looking". Here's a few things that we ran into with our room and I am very disappointing by... 1) The view from our room is a HUGE snow mound. Okay, I understand you guys get a lot of snow, but for the sake of all the guests on the first floor, can you plow it? That's all we stare at all day, we might as well be in a basement. 2) There's to air units, a floor one by the window and a thermostat on the wall...which one do we use? I called them, they were also confused by the question and said they are the same unit. Well, I don't think that's correct, because you can turn both to different temperatures, and I'm not sure what it's really be directed from. When you turn the floor unit to a warm temperature, it still blows out cold/mild air, so it never really got warm. 3) The shower is terrible, the pressure so mild, it won't wash soap off. And it would be helpful to have shower knobs that state "h" or "c". 4) The noise, you can hear EVERYTHING in this room. It didn't help that our room was next to the elevator. But I almost think that's why the air unit is here, it draws out any noise so you can't hear anything. Weird. 5) THE BED. Wow, the bed is misleading. It's a king, and looks so comfortable. It's TERRIBLE. It's so hard, firm and you can feel the springs. To top it off, there's not really a bed cover, there's a sheet and then another supposedly bedspread, but it's the same thickness of the sheet. That doesn't help when you're in a room that it's -12 degrees out and the heater isn't functioning. I then asked for blankets, they didn't arrive right away, so then I called again and finally I did. Upon arrival of these shafty blankets were three LONG BLACK THICK COARSE HAIRS. Never mind, I"ll freeze in the hard bed with no bedspread. A few other things... The "heated pool" is not heated for the winter, maybe spring or fall, but it's supposedly 80-85 degrees. Yeah right, it's freezing, don't even think about getting in that in the winter. That's a bummer, kind of why I booked the hotel. The "hot" tub, isn't hot. I don't know about most people, but I like "hot" tubs to be "HOT". It supposedly only goes up to 102 degrees. That's not very hot for a hot tub, especially when it's -12 degrees out. CON is that it's pretty good size. BY THE WAY if you purchase a room for here off expedia.. they will treat you differently. It's like we were criminals or something. When I asked to switch rooms, they said "you booked off Expedia, we can't." Oh okay haha RUDE. AND EXPEDIA NOR THE HOTEL tell you prior to booking that they will charge you THE SAME COST OF THE WHOLE BILL until you check out. If you have a debit card, they CHARGE it then refund it, if you have a credit card they HOLD it. I guess I'll use my credit card, but I don't like paying DOUBLE for the stay of while I'm here. That's more than Vegas! Ridiculous! Sorry to be so dramatic, but when I pay money for something, I expect decency and I didn't even get that. I hope this helps others! read more

Had dinner with a small party, then hot chocolate by the fire while admiring the view of the slopes. Customer service was excellent, the location was very accessible, rustic and chic interior, great artwork, finishes and complimentary coffee. Very comfortably warm, always had fireplaces going. The very talented chef greeted us personally and we appreciated the updated/seasonal menus. i wonder if an indoor pool/htb/sauna will be in the works in the future. read more

One of the worst hotel experiences in my life. At the check-in desk, they're very unprofessional and unfriendly. Only one young man with foreign accent was greeting and welcoming guests. Nobody else would smile to customers. I also feel that I was discriminated racially. I could be wrong on this, however. If you must stay, ask for a room on upper floors, away from the elevator, and away from the ice machine. Don't bother booking 7 months ahead. You will get one of the worst rooms, especially if you're not a white person. Also, the check-out can take more than 15 minutes. The check-in also took about the same. Very slow... everything was just horrible. And, yes, there is $35 resort fee for nothing. Way overpriced for what you get. I certainly expect better service at almost $400 per night. I booked a room with Snow King Resort for a week long work trip out to Jackson. Although the location is beautiful, it was one of the most poorly run hotels I have ever stayed at considering its size and scale. Before arriving, I called their main number multiples of times to schedule a shuttle from the airport to hotel,never being able to get through. I ended up having to select a random extension in order to get anyone to answer the phone, and they even had a hard time getting a hold of anyone. That was from their main line! When I arrived, not only did the shuttle never arrive, but when I tried calling again to see what was happening, no answer. I waited for about a half hour before having to take a $60 cab ride to the hotel. Once checked in, I was assigned to one of the "condos" that are located separate from the main hotel. When I entered it seemed as though no one had stayed there for a long time. It was dusty and dark and the sheets and towels smelled musty and old. When I tried to call the front desk to see if I could just get some new sheets, not only did they not answer (not unexpectedly) but they had no service numbers listed anywhere in the room. I had to walk all the way back to the front desk (remember this is a totally separate area of the resort) to ask them to get me new sheets which never came until I asked for them a second time the next day. Despite everything though, their cafe, Hayden's Post was the worst. I have to exclude their waitresses from this critique, since they were very nice and helpful. Their manager was dreadful. Not only was he very rude, but I felt personally discriminated by him. When I walked in to inquire about pricing for just toast, since I was running a little behind that morning, he was very dismissive and not forthcoming with information and kept insisting that I just get the $16 buffet. Not wanting to spend that much on such a little amount, I left but ended up changing my mind since I knew I needed to eat and the resort is not close to any other restaurant/cafe. When I returned, I asked a waitress if I could just grab the food, pay and go and she was very helpful and told me just to flag her down and she would take care of me. When the manager saw me in the buffet room, he immediately grabbed another waitress to stand and watch me as he kept a look out from another angle. First off, I am not a thief and even if I was, I wouldn't steal your crappy, overpriced breakfast. He uncomfortably watched and followed me as I grabbed my small bowl of egg and toast and made my way over to the original waitress to pay. Realizing what was happening, she ended up giving me a discount on my breakfast considering I got so little food and I was clearly upset about what was happening. He then followed directly behind me as I walked out. For anyone who might question me on "how do you know he was watching out for that"? I have worked 10 years in the service and grocery industry. When you suspect someone is going to steal, what he did was exactly what you do to discourage it. That was totally inappropriate, out of line and a total power trip on his part. Just because I am young does not make me a thief. Best advice for Jackson, stay closer to town where they actually take care of their rooms and customers. The flashiness of the Snow King is a mirage of old amenities run by individuals who rely on the pictures and scenery around them to book rooms, not customer service and decency. read more

Hotel Manager refused to refund or credit our prepaid stay cancelled due to Storm Gandolf. Booked stay in Nov. then night before our 3-night booking (Jan 11-14th), temps forecast -18-4deg F with extreme weather warnings on weather.com and by local authorities citing 'dangerous conditions' , 'no-non-emergency travel' and 'very icy road conditions'. I explained solely because of extreme storm warnings and concern for safety in traveling in such conditions with (2) infants we did not fly to area and requested refund for future consideration in re-planning our trip. Manager stated because roads were 'open' and flights (probably 10/day) not cancelled, they would keep our money. I hope every traveler thinks strongly how this hotel treated us during this weather event. Good sense says don't want people mandated to travel into storm warning zones. If this hospitality business rationalizes your peril, in extreme storm warnings, is theirs to judge and rationalized on logic their as least one way to traverse to hotel, to take your money; imagine how might treat you when you arrive. We booked this stay a night before arriving at the resort which was advertised online as having vacancy. When we arrived at the resort at around 10:30 pm after a very long day of driving, we found the front desk associate telling us that the hotel had "overbooked" and that they were completely sold out of rooms. As you can imagine, this was the absolute last thing we wanted to hear at 10:30 at night after traveling all day. When we told him that we had already paid for the room, he apologized and said that he had tried to contact his manager already with no response. In the meantime, I went online to check the resort's website, and sure enough it was advertising vacant rooms available. The front desk associate was very polite and helpful and we tried to reassure him that our frustrations were not directed at him as he had no control over the situation. However we want to make sure it is known that though it may be a normal business scheme to overbook rooms/stays, it leaves guests high and dry with no place to stay late at night which is absolutely unacceptable. read more

Visited this place over the Summer with my family for one night. We did not enjoy the visit. We had to wait for almost an hour on the shuttle from the airport for a flight crew to finish their paperwork before the driver would bring us to the hotel. He had plenty of time to take us there and get back to the airport but instead left us on the shuttle bus with small warm waters after a very long day of traveling. Once we arrived at the hotel, the front desk staff was aloof and didn't really seem interested in answering questions about the attractions. We were put on the sixth floor facing the pool which was loud during the day from the live music playing a block away. The bathroom was filthy with mold in our first room and smelled like a sour mop had been used to clean everything. Our second room we were moved to was slightly better but reeked of a sour mop as well. We were so tired we tried to make the best of it. The restaurants seemed overpriced and when I asked questions about accommodating food allergies I was treated like I was from another planet by girl at the front desk. This place might be great in the winter for skiing but was a fail for a Summer getaway on the way to Yellowstone. Stay closer to downtown so you can walk to the attractions rather than feel trapped in an overpriced amusement park. read more

If you are trying to be on time anywhere or get to point A to point B in a timely manner I would suggest staying somewhere else. read more
