Stopped by to try the Bingsu. I was happily surprised. I have never tried it before. It was delicious!! My friend ordered the bulgogi kimbap. The kimbap was fresh and very flavorful. She said her smoothie was very good. My Americano hit the spot. The Bingsu had shaved ice, rice cake pieces, condensed milk, mango and ice cream on top. I really enjoyed that delicacy! I will come back to eat that again! The restaurant is very clean and inviting. There are pastries from a Korean bakery in Atlanta available. I will come again to try those. There are other cakes and desserts available in a cold case by the service counter. There is a ramen station to make different types of instant ramen., The owner was very nice. It was our fist time there and she was very patient with is as we weren't sure what we wanted to order. I will definitely return. Snowa ("With Snow") Bakery and Cafe is a Korean bakery and cafe located in Germantown. There's plenty of parking, as it's a private lot shared with other businesses. Upon entering, you'll find about twelve tables in the dining area and a water station to the left. On the far right, there's a ramen station where you can make your own ramen and enjoy it on-site -- similar to the convenience stores found in Korea. The bakery section is on the far left near the register, offering around ten different freshly baked treats. FOOD: Bulgogi Kimbap (4/5): There are three kimbap options -- bulgogi, tuna, or veggie. It's cooked rice with various fillings (carrots, pickled radish, spinach, eggs), rolled in dried seaweed, and sliced into bite-sized pieces. Unlike sushi, the rice is seasoned with sesame oil and salt. You really can't go wrong with this classic. Tonkatsu (Fried Pork Cutlet, 4/5): Breaded and deep-fried until golden and crisp, this dish comes in a generous portion. I had to take half home for dinner. It's classically served with rice and shredded cabbage salad with a creamy sesame dressing. There was a good amount of kimchi and yellow pickled radish on the side. Green Tea Bing Su (4/5): Perfectly refreshing for hot Memphis summers, this Korean shaved ice dessert is topped with sweetened red beans, almond slices, and green tea ice cream. It's light, sweet, and satisfying. Dalgona Coffee (3/5): Dalgona is a crunchy honeycomb toffee with a caramelized flavor (as seen in Squid Game). The large dalgona pieces on top slowly melt into the coffee. A bit too sweet for my taste, but it was fun to try. Meh. This place has a cafeteria like setting, seriously nothing special. My husband and I went for dinner last night, and the food was so thoughtless, I didn't even eat most of it. I tried the Jjol Myun "chewy spicy noodle ", and was served a bowl that had about a cup of cold unseasoned noodles, julienned carrots, bean sprouts and half a boiled egg. Seriously. No flavor whatsoever. No sauce. The appetizer of finely shredded and deep fried vegetables was greasy and disgusting. I really hope the Han reopens soon. read more

Finally we have a bingsu place in Memphis!!! Super excited about it and it didn't disappoint. The bingsu was light and fluffy. And not too sweet. The Kimbap was pretty big and super tasty. The waffle was yummy with fresh fruits and 3 scoops of ice cream. The tteokbokki was the best! We had the classic and the tteokbokki was super soft and the sauce was so good. I don't recommend the teas.. I had the honey grapefruit tea. And it's literally hot water, honey , and a slice of grapefruit. It wasn't good Service was pretty fast. They also have bakery that is from atl. I would def come back and try other things! read more

Everything was delicious and service was great! Tonkatsu portion were huge and mala rice cake were soft, chewy and just the right amount of heat. We also tried the matcha bingsu for dessert. Not too sweet and very refreshing on a hot day. read more

This is a fantastic spot and not just for the bingsu. Snowa gets plenty of love for its bingsu (and it deserves it), but the real surprise here is how good the rest of the food is. The ramen and Korean dishes are seriously flying under the radar. It's one of those places where you come in for dessert but end up planning your next visit for tasty snacks. Memphis has a lot of great food, but Snowa feels like a hidden gem even among them. Definitely worth checking out beyond the bingsu! read more

Exciting to have a place like this open in Germantown! Near Memphis & Collierville. It's a cafe that serves Korean street food such as Tteokbokki (rice cake), Kimbap, etc. along with korean desserts (such as Bingsu (shaved ice)), coffee, teas, fresh fruit drinks, and more. The inside is spacious and clean, and there's a large parking lot with other businesses in the plaza. It's located right in the corner of the building next to Gracie Bleu Frozen Yogurt. The service was quick and friendly. We came on a Wednesday afternoon and there were a handful of people. I got the Fresh Fruit Latte (Strawberry). Their puree is made in house. It was delicious, but may be on the pricier side based on a regular size cup. My friend got the Mango Bingsu (cup version) and it was delicious! Great combination of shaved frozen milk, fruits, and ice cream on top. If you get the large version, it can easily be shared among a few people and contains a lot more toppings (large version is $19.50). They have a lot of pastries and breads for sale. At the counter, they also have an area with 50% off baked goodies for the day. Overall, it was a great experience. A welcoming space for all. Also, bathrooms are very clean. read more

I love the concept! Came here on a Sunday afternoon soon after their opening and they were busy! Great coffee drinks and Korean snacks. Warning - the Korean rice cakes in spicy sauce was pretty spicy (but delicious). The wait for the prepared food was a little long but I'm sure they're working out the kinks. We got four baked goods: a custard cream bread, a melon bun, a chocolate muffin, and a streusel bun. I can't speak as to how their other items were, like the bingsu or the kimbap, but considering the name of the place has the word 'bakery' first, I'd place this importantly. The custard bun was rotten. It smelled foul and was inedible. Not in a taste way but in a food safety way. The melon bun was okay, but below expectation. The streusel was stale and stiff. Based off of the packaging of the pastries, it seems that these are not fresh in any sense, and are imported from Treestory Bakery in Duluth, Georgia, and the pastries certainly taste this way. The buns were all stiff and were clearly left out and not made in house. Sure, it's fine if you import your goods, but then you should take extra measures to ensure its freshness. Went here to check out the baked goods mainly which is non-existent in Memphis compared to Atlanta. They source the Korean breads from TREE STORY in Atlanta and this is normally where we always stop by to get our haul whenever we have a chance to head down there. The iced vanilla latte's my girlfriend and I got were very good, they are using some really nice beans for their coffee/espresso here. We also decided to try the tuna kimbap as well..I took a star off cause the tuna seems noticeably dry inside the kimbap but the overall flavor was great. I think they just add some level of fat to the tuna they are using, it'll be a much better experience. I'll have to try their tteokbokki and bulgogi kimbap the next time I head over there. I'm not a gatekeeper so this is the best iced latte in/near Memphis. I've been looking forever trying to find the perfect iced latte and they have sugar free vanilla and non dairy option which I really appreciate. I'll continue trying all the coffees in Memphis but as of right now, this is the best. The owner told us that she tasted/ tested several beans scrutinizing the brew before selecting for their coffee and it definitely shows. The desserts are super unique. I love all the different textures and flavors. Pro tip: ask for a side of ice cream with the golden waffle like fish dessert. We had red bean and custard flavor and they were very unique. There are so many freshly packaged dessert options available too. We cannot wait to come back to get more coffee but also to try the food options. The shop was very modern and clean. Would be a cool place to work at during downtimes (if there are any). It was a cute date location and it felt like we were not in Tennessee. Enjoy! read more
