This was my first time visiting snow cat Ridge. The parking was a bit expensive, but I think the cost of the rest of the park was very reasonable. I attended on a Friday night with a timeline of 8 to 10 PM and when we arrived it was not very busy at all. I love the system for the tubing and we went down three times and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was also surprisingly good. They had food trucks and vendors there and I had a burger and fries that was actually really good. They also had a nice selection of alcoholic beverages and I got myself a cider. The gift shop is so incredibly cute and they also had ice-skating as well as s'mores, bonfires around, a Kidzone and an igloo where you can actually touch snow. It was very slippery in there so I think they should actually lower the temperature because the snow was melting a lot. The park was decorated very festively and there were tons of stalls in the bathroom which I very much appreciate. All in all a really fun experience and a nice activity for the family .

Quite expensive for a family of 3 but it was an all day experience and living in Orlando, were used to paying an arm and a leg for touristy spots. But I feel like it was worth it for the sake of real snow in Florida! I love that you can go to and from your car as well as the day gets warmer and layers need to start coming off. Lunch options in their food truck area are not spectacular but they hit the spot after a long day and I'm always thankful when there's an option for alcoholic beverages. We had a really good time on the slopes, inside the igloo (did I really read a review that someone complained the snow was cold? lol it's SNOW!) and ice skating! We came with a large group and there was something fun for everyone and we had the option to do the 10p tubing which was super fun!

We had the BEST time!! Parking- You go into the park and tree hoppers will be first. You keep driving to the parking lot for snowcat. We did not do preferred and we weren't far. You will fill out waivers when you get there if you hadn't already. I didn't see how to do it online, it brought me to a printable version. Your wrist band is the time you have for tubing so do that before you do the rest of the things! You can switch whichever tube you want to use each time you go. There is a conveyer belt you stand on that takes you up the mountain so you're not dying to get the dang tubes up. Single tubes are the most rough on your body and they are the heaviest to pull! Tandem are fun and easier on the body and the 10 person tubes were my and my family's favorite! You don't have to have 10 people to go, you will ride with other people though if you don't take up most of the tube. When you hit the carpet it is a rough bang. In the singles we got a headache immediately. Bring ibuprofen. The snow igloo was fun!! They have plenty of snow to play in and a little bunny hill for littles to snow tube. They have a little village that's also for little kids with story time, and some other activities. Theres a little store to buy mementos up there, too. Ice skating was really fun. It's a nice loopy track and wasn't too crowded. The ice was a little melty toward the inside and it was rough and choppy around the corners but they were about to close and re-do the ice. You can skate all day after you pay for one rental so you can turn in your skates, leave and come back if you want to. We did get pizza, fries and tacos. My kids didn't like the pizza, the fries were really good but it's A LOT. My husband said the tacos were like Taco Bell so do with that what you will. You order at kiosks and they call your name for your food. We spent the whole day and had a great time!! We will definitely come back again.

We had so much fun at snowcat ridge. I agree that you only need the 2 hour ticket and not the day pass. A beer is $14 no cash allowed, so food and drink is a theme park price. We enjoyed the ice skating most of all!

I took my son here on Christmas Eve. We had a really great day! We reserved tickets online in advance. We picked the 9 AM to 11 AM slot as it was the least expensive. My child is a bit of a scaredy-cat so I had serious concerns whether he was actually going to do the snowy slopes. I showed him videos beforehand and told him I wasn't going to pay for this if he wasn't going to try it so he agreed. The park is in Dade city, which was about 90 minutes from us. The good thing was I was able to get there without getting on interstate four which made a huge difference as tiny back. roads had very little traffic. We arrived about 915 and the parking was pretty expensive. We paid for standard parking, but it was only a couple dollars more for the preferred parking which is closer. However, because we were early. We were still able to park not too far and the walk wasn't too bad . Upon arrival, they scanned our tickets and gave us a wristband that said 9 AM to 11 AM so we went straight to the snowy slopes. We had to watch a video before we were allowed to board but then we grabbed our tube and rode the conveyor belt up to the top , we chose to do the double tube. You could also do a single tube or a 10 person tube. It was really fun and my child said it was wild, awesome, and scary. However, he chose not to do it anymore. I wish he would've tried the single or the 10 person tube but honestly I was pretty happy that he did it once and didn't cry. One of the main reasons that we came was to play in the snow. As a Florida boy, my child has only been able to play in snow once and he was so little he doesn't remember. This was what he asked for for Christmas was to play in the snow . I knew that if I tried to plan a trip around snow it would be 80° wherever I plan to go so this was a much safer bet. He had an absolute blast playing in the snow in the igloo. You could make snowman and throw snowballs at targets There was also a bunny slope for little kids. He was right on the cusp of being too big to do it, but they let him do it and he did it like 100 times and loved it! Please note that it is advisable to bring a full on coat gloves and snow boots if you have them as it is very cold and your feet will get wet After that, we spent a good deal of time at the peppermint playground. I don't know if they have this all the time when they are open, but it was definitely my kid's favorite spot. It is for children seven and under. Because it was Christmas time we were also able to take advantage of story time with Mrs. Claus and since we were there relatively early in the day, he actually got Mrs. Claus all to himself, and she read him two stories that he picked out just him which was awesome . We also got to meet Santa Claus with no wait which was great. We had so much fun doing the scavenger hunt around the Christmas village, and my son was able to collect a prize at the end. The only thing we didn't do was ice skate. I told my son I would go if he wanted to but he fell the first time he tried to go ice-skating and I haven't been able to get him back on the ice since. We were there from about 930 and till two and had a great day. We bought a four dollar bottle of water, but ate after we left the park. Food seems quite expensive there. My only complaint is the cost as it was over $100 for my son and I to spend the day there and we picked the cheapest time of the day to go but I'm guessing it's not cheap to make and maintain snow in Florida. So overall, I'm glad I did it as a Christmas present, but I can see how it would unaffordable for a large family.

This was winter wonderland in FLORIDA ! My family and I really enjoyed ourselves. It was little pricey but for my daughter and I , who have only seen snow once, and my husband who grew up in Maine around snow it was. Perfect balance! To the home grown southerners we were able to build a snow man, have a snow ball fight, tube in snow, and try to ice skate ! To my Man from Maine he was able to bring his girls some "snow" but not have to get snowed in or have to shovel a yard! Don't get me wrong it was still Florida but it was a good balance and I enjoyed the hugely diverse crowds! I would recommend but just know they don't take cash and they ain't cheap lol but what is especially in a "theme" park

It was expensive - I bought this for the family as a Christmas present because I wanted to make memories. That we definitely did. My grandsons thanked me repeatedly. Most of the reviews I've read here are accurate. There are a lot of kids working and most seem stressed out / unhappy. One girl yelled at us for "cutting the line" when all we did was walk in through an open lane. If it wasn't supposed to be open, put up a cone or something. This said, the guys running the 10 person tubes were helpful and funny. The food ordering process was simple and makes sense from the cashless perspective, once you figure it out. Again, it's expensive. I think that's typical for these kind of things though. We only ordered hot cocoa and s'mores. I love the idea of the small fire pits but they were crowded. We found enough space to poke out stick in but not enough to sit down or even be able to stand at one spot. The storytelling was awesome - we sat there for 3 or 4 books. The boys loved the snow igloo. I did not. It was chaotic and crazy. Kids were throwing snowballs at people's faces and other inappropriate spots. Not the event's fault, and it's not supposed to be allowed but not everyone follows the rules. Again, the boys loved it. I think Snowcat Ridge did a great job making it look like we were on a ski mountain somewhere. I mean, come on, this is Florida!!!!! It didn't feel like it last night...in a good way. We were in a winter wonderland. We waited in line a little bit but overall it wasn't bad at all. I don't know that we'll come back - just because of the cost - but, man we had a great time! This was the boys' favorite present and the adults enjoyed ourselves too. Ae made some great memories.

I liked the squirt options and falls around the river. I even begged the kids at the ice cream shop above to spray me with the water riffles, it was so hot this day. I like that they have four types of tubes at Disney, a normal donut tube, an enclosed small one for small children, a double tube and a lounge chair tube which is the ultimate score. This river was like taking the Jungle Cruise ride from within the water and we really enjoyed it. I think we just wish it had been a bit faster current.

It's just impossible for me to say which one I love more! I love them both equally! I'm not into all the water slides as much as my daughters are. I'm perfectly content to grab a tube and float on this river all day long. Ahhhh.... total relaxation! Disney does such a great job with all of their theming. There's so many cool things to look at and new things to see as you go round and round river. There are cold mists that randomly shoot out at you which is actually very nice on a hot Florida day. There are beautiful waterfalls to see and you even get to go through a tunnel. Very cool stuff. This lazy river is 2,000 feet long (yep, it's a long one) and circles the entire Typhoon Lagoon Park. There are 5 different places where you can grab a tube and enter the river (or exit the river). The tubes do not cost extra and are included with the price of admission. Imagine that, something Disney doesn't charge extra for. I know... Shocker, right?! Be careful and make sure to put on your sunscreen. With the sun reflecting off the water, you'll burn even quicker. Make sure to cover your kiddos too. They do sell waterproof sunscreen in the Park, but you'll pay dearly for it. So if you plan on coming to Typhoon Lagoon, make sure you pick some up beforehand and bring it with you. Another tip is to pick up one of those disposable waterproof cameras before you get here (unless you already own a personal one). They sell those in the Park too, but again, you'll pay dearly!

We had a gorgeous day and since it had rained in the morning there weren't many people and the river was quiet. We saw river otters, turtles, lots of birds, tons of fish, lush greenery and a fat snake sunning itself on a rock wall near one of the residences. The water is so clear and you can see so much underwater. The 2 hour float trip was perfect for us. We enjoyed looking at the houses and scenery. It was a fabulous day off for us to be all together in a beautiful place. Our only criticism was the organization of the rentals itself. It was a little confusing and the man driving the tram was somewhat immature. He was heard muttering that his colleague was micromanaging (she seemed to be doing most everything herself and he kept just wandering around and waiting to be told what to do). He also drove the tram wayyyyy too fast and didn't give clear directions on what to do when we got off the river. He was clear on where to get out but we didn't know we were very close to the tram station and just needed to walk there. We saw a covered bench and several of us thought perhaps we were to wait there for the tram to pick us up. Nope. You just keep walking a short way and you are right back at the rental place and your car. Also picking up the tubes was confusing because the man there said come and get your tube. Several people stepped forward and started taking an inner tube. He stopped them and told them they weren't allowed to be in there. What he meant to say was for them to indicate the tube they wanted. There was no line or anything so there was some mild jostling and confusion for us all. It wasn't a big deal, but it could definitely be improved. All in all we had a terrific time.

I came expecting a peaceful, relaxing experience because that's what you see in the pictures and reviews. Instead, I ended up in one of the scariest moments of my life. I fell out of my tube and got stuck in deep mud. My water shoe was literally sucked into the mud, and I couldn't push myself up from the bottom. I couldn't get back on my tube because my legs were stuck, and I had already gone underwater and was coughing. What made it even worse was that my daughter, who cannot swim, had drifted away and I couldn't see her. I truly thought I might drown and that something could happen to my daughter. I was panicking, crying, and shaking. By the grace of God, I saw the only boat nearby and flagged them down. They went back and picked me up and my daughter too. I will never forget the people who helped us. I truly believe they prevented a tragedy that day. Another important thing to mention is that this happened toward the evening on a weekday, and there were almost no people left on the river. We were some of the last people out there. I got incredibly lucky that there happened to be a boat nearby because otherwise, I don't know what would have happened to me or my daughter. What upsets me the most is that there was no real safety briefing or warning about the risks. We were given tubes and sent off. No one explained the currents, deep areas, muddy bottoms, or what to do in an emergency. No one recommended life jackets to us, even though not everyone in our group could swim. Please understand that there are no lifeguards. Depending on the time of day, you may find yourself with very few people around to help in an emergency. If I hadn't been able to flag down that boat, this story could have ended very differently. I later learned that other people have had similar frightening experiences here, and I understand why. Please, if you decide to go: * Wear a life jacket, especially if you are not a strong swimmer. * Do not assume the water is shallow because it's a spring. * Do not bring children or adults who cannot swim without extra precautions. * Understand that there are no lifeguards and you are responsible for your own safety. This experience was so traumatic for me that I still have flashbacks and cannot imagine ever returning. A beautiful place can still be dangerous, and I wish I had known that before I went. Please stay safe.
