No spas were working during our stay. They actually looked abandoned.

This review is for unit #559, which is on the side where the golf course is at. We rented this through Nomadness rental. It was a nice place that was comfortable in the sleeping areas but tight in the common areas (living room, dining area, kitchen) as these units are multi level and narrow. Kitchen was modern and well stocked with pots and pans. The washer and dryer were excellent. 2 bedrooms had 1 queen bed that were very hard, 1 bedroom had two bunk beds. There were small TVs in both larger bedrooms and no TV in the bunk bed room. Living room has one large couch and two small chairs. The TV was fairly small (40 inches-ish) for the living room. But there was cable! Only cons were big red mammoth ants kept coming in. There was a lot construction going on the property so lots trucks driving by early and over the speed bump located in front of the unit. The spas were not working and a tenant told us they have not been working for a while.

Snowcreek Resort is like one of those words spoken, hushed and traded between friends for a respite granting exclusive privileges for "those in the know/or unknowing." Snowcreek Resort (if you happen to even obtain a coveted reservation) opens a door to a clandestine sanctuary. Managed by Jamie Levy and John Morris. While there we saw many renovations and preparations for owners on the way in for "Opening Day." Service requests (yep had Diva attitude at times) were handled efficiently and I am grateful for the small touches that made our stay so pleasant. Notice the flowers and attention to little things (Eco friendly soap, detergent and flowers) brought smiles to the family. This is the place to spot resident mule deer, blue jays and creatures small and large. On this visit we had tranquil/lively days when all you needed to do for peace is open the patio door to hear a stream flowing, sounds of little birds happily fluttering from branch to branch and the decades old quaking aspen trees standing high above it all. Thanks to John and his staff for the wonderful stay and the chance to explore the green lush meadows, and for doggie friendly areas. Superb!

My aunt & I stayed here while in Mammoth for a few days & the place we stayed at was the perfect place for us! Was able to sleep a total of 4 people so it was the perfect size & space for the two of us. Cozy place with an amazing view when stepping outback on the patio was breathtaking! My aunt previously stayed here a few years ago & we both would absolutely stay here again & reccommend it to anyone looking for a nice cozy stay while in Mammoth.

Whether you're headed up to Mammoth in the snow or sun, I can't imagine a better place to stay than the Snowcreek Resort Condos. Almost fully furnished (beds, furniture, cookware, bedding, towels) and equipped (dishwasher, trash compacter, washer/dryer), you're sure to enjoy staying in one of these units. During a recent fishing trip, we stayed in one such condo. Three levels, three bedrooms, one loft, four bathrooms, two-car garage, TVs, and DVD players? I'm all set! The only downers were that there was no WiFi in our unit and, during summer, there is no A/C. Since winter is the main draw here in Mammoth, the heater is your best friend anyway, right? Snowcreek Condos are located in Mammoth Lakes and minutes away from good fishing, skiing/boarding, food, drinks, and almost anything else you'd want in Mammoth. I can't wait to return!

I rented a condo for the Super Bowl weekend and I must say this place is awesome. I had to accommodate 12 people with beds and 30 people for dinner. I stayed in 1204 and it was more than accommodating for what I needed it. It's new and has a huge kitchen which was the center area for socializing. The master bedroom where I stayed was huge and the 2nd bedroom was large enough to fit 4. There's an upstairs loft that could fit 5 people. The condo was new and had enough for 30 people to cook and dine without getting into each others way. The red line stop 2 is a few feet away so you don't have to hike to the bus stop to get to the mountain. Definitely will stay here again.

What a deal through priceline.com. About 40% off the rack rate. $157/nt for a 2bd condo. They add a $40 bed fee, but I think that's standard for mammoth. My unit was a bit dated. I should have paid the extra $30/nt for the upgraded amenities. What a cheap bastard! Kids had a great time. We all did. Will definitely return. If you book through anyone other than Snowcreek directly, make sure you print out your confirmation letter, as it will include a combination you need to get your keys from the reservation center. Luckily we arrived before the office closed, I saw other people standing in from of the locked cabinet trying to figure out how they were going to get their keys. Don't be that person. I'm surprised that case hasn't been broken into.

This is one of the bathrooms with black mold in the grout.

I don't know what happened to the condo we stayed in this time but it was filthy (mold in all the grout, spider webs everywhere, stained toilet, and dust everywhere), full of bugs (I got a flea bite and spider bite all in bed), and falling apart (peeling wall paper everywhere, peeling paint or broken toilet seats in every bathroom), and a water heater that only gave us warm water for 10 minutes every hour. It's clear that the association that is maintaining it doesn't care. I am going to look into other places to stay in Mammoth. Snow Creek has different types of condo rentals. Call ahead to make sure you're staying at the one pictured in the ads. The first time I stayed here we got a condo pictured in the ads. The next time, we got a discount but ended up in a unit that looked like Hell on the inside and pretty outside.

We had a group outing and rented three different units. The unit in which I stayed for two days had a master bedroom, two smaller bedrooms and a loft area with two trundle beds. The rental cabins are FANTASTIC. Let me just say that first off. It does not feel like California at all. With the ridiculous snowfall this past weekend it was like an insane winter wonderland in parts unknown. Unfortunately I was charged with being the "advance team" into Mammoth Lakes and I left LA at 1pm, arriving at Mammoth Lakes around 7:30 due to inclement weather and chains limiting me to 25-30 mph for the final 18 miles of the trip. With the whiteout conditions I had to navigate their extensive, LARGE property for the rental office, keys and the units and unlock the units, turn on the heat and ensure the units were fully stocked with food. I have to say... thank goodness for those bulldozers and snow plows. For only one of the three units did I get "stuck" trying to trudge my way through the snow finding the unit! Day two was not nearly as bad. The snow still came down heavily, but not in whiteout conditions. The spa, it turns out, was only a stones throw away from our cabin. Wonderful, cozy facility with an enormous jacuzzi and a sauna. No one else was there, so just three of us enjoyed the use of the facilities. Unfortunately, due to the heavy snow we were unable to find the athletic club. =( By the way... make sure to turn on your car at least ever 12-16 hours... otherwise you will need a jump from the PD to get going. Also, think about renting or using a 4WD vehicle with snow tires... that will ensure you don't get stuck anywhere. I would definitely come back here again... but honestly my persistence allowed us to find our units in those horrid conditions. Anyone else in our group would have given up and rented a hotel/motel somewhere. They need to have clearer signs and arrows to where everything on the property belongs.

With all the awesome rain we've had this year, it was imperative we hit up the massive mammoth mountain. Rental voucher in hand, we embarked on a crazy 7 hour drive through horizontal, slushy ass snow, which started about an hour before even reaching Bishop! Once we arrived into Mammoth, this place was dumped! Close to 20' embankments on the sides of the roads, with a blizzard like snowfall minus the wind. The snow was so high, we couldn't see the street signs, which made our journey that much longer. First stop was the office to get the keys which took about a half hour to find, then to the house which took another 15 minutes to find. As soon as we touched down, we landed in a mansion! Only 4 guests in a 3 story unit with 4 master suites, Kitchen-aid Architect series appliances, 60" LCD, BBQ, jacuzzis....not bad for a free stay. No credit card was on file so lets just say we had lots of fun in the place. Will we be coming back? Probably not, our unit was valued at $1100 a night and I'd rather leave the country than spend it on a condo, but the experience was utterly spectacular!

4.0 Stars I had a…read moregreat experience staying with Mountainback at Mammoth this past weekend. Mountainback at Mammoth offers cozy condominiums that are walking distance to Mammoth Mountain Ski Area's Canyon Lodge for convenient winter skiing/snowboarding. If you don't feel like walking, this complex is right on the Blue line bus transit (stop #51/52) for conveniently getting around the Mammoth Village area. You can also transfer to other bus lines that service the rest of the Mammoth area. The main office staff were really accommodating. The check-in time was originally at 4pm, but they let us check-in a couple hours earlier. This worked out in our favor because my friends and I were able to put down our stuff and head to the mountain for some afternoon skiing/snowboarding. According to their website, the premises also has a swimming pool, 6 jacuzzis, and a BBQ area. Me and a couple of friends stayed at condominium #111, which is located in Building 11. For more details on this property you can refer to this site: http://bit.ly/9H7eVG. It essentially had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I really liked this unit because it was recently renovated and it had everything we needed to make it a comfortable stay. From in-room laundry to internet access to a full kitchen (stove/microwave/refrigerator/dishwasher) to a wood burning stove, this place had it all. Best of all, it had an awesome entertainment section. There was a huge LCD TV with PS2, Blue-ray player, and a huge collection of DVDs. YES, that's right a PS2 and a Blue-ray player!! This unit has perfect sleeping room for 6 adults. 2 people can sleep on the master bed, 2 people can sleep in the room with 2 twin beds, and 2 people can take the sofa couch. If you need extra blankets or pillows there are plenty in the closet spaces. Although there isn't a daily cleaning service like at a hotel, the complex offers daily towel changing service. If you don't want to use the towel changing service you can wash your own towels using the in-room washer and dryer. A three night stay turned out to be around $800. I would definitely come back here in the future. == A MUST TRY! ==

There is a nice old fireplace in the living room, which feels a bit crowded w a dining table. Also, in winter w snowbanks the sign for office is not visible if you approach from Canyon Lodge.

Ok, bias alert! We are the owners of this unit. However, I wanted to let you know about it…read moreanyway--both pros and cons. We use the office to rent ours out on a limited basis, so I qualify that this review is only for our unit, #50, which is an updated 2bd+loft, 3ba mammoth condo.[see www.mammothluxurycondo.com]. Basically, I'll tell you the pros and the cons of our unit and the Meadowridge development. PROS: *Close to Little Eagle [chair 15]; shuttle stop right outside complex [2nd stop from Little Eagle] *Across the street from great golf, Sierra Star in the summer *Incredibly private, mountainy feel with lots of trees and a walk over to the bluff gives you amazing views of the sherwins. *Our unit, as well as some others, is completely remodeled. A 3rd bathroom was added, so everyone has a private bath. *Well maintained jacuzzi, pool and sauna area. The outdoor, covered jacuzzi is kept at a respectable 102 amongst views of the trees. *Great layout for 1-2 families CONS: * "Walking distance" to little eagle is bit of an overstatement. It is a trek. About 1/3 mi, uphill. *These units were built in 1980, so some are still stuck in 1980. Including the ever popular "just-a-sink-instead-of-full-master-bath" wierdness that some mammoth condos seem to sport. *Our unit's heat really only heats the downstairs well, you need to use the wood stove to heat the upstairs; my guess is other units may be the same. If you are not comfy lighting a fire, the living room & the loft will be chilly. *Relatively further [considering mammoth is a whopping 3 square miles total] from the village or nightlife if your group is all young-uns

Really great rental for a weekend getaway at Mammoth!…read more Picking up (and returning) our keys as super easy when we drove in on a Friday night. Overall the condo was very well kept and felt like a modern wooden cabin structure. Our place had two levels with three beds downstairs and a fold out couch upstairs. It was really easy to get the hot water running in both bathrooms which was terrific when taking a post-snowboarding shower. We only cooked breakfast but there was a stocked kitchen upstairs with all your usual amenities. Two closets downstairs allowed us to store our skis and snowboards during the night which was convenient when we headed out during the day. The only caveat of the place was that the built in room heater was SUPER LOUD at night and turns on and off intermittently which made it really hard to sleep my first night in. After snowboarding we spent our relaxing time watching some old VHSs (Airplane!) and playing UNO and backgammon way into the night while sipping on some Mammoth Brewery drinks =). Heartily recommended!

The pool sucked, wasn't heated and the jacuzzi was OK, I like my jacuzzi burning hot specially when its snowing outside, lukewarm doesn't cut it! We were willing to share a hotel room, but then again we all wanted our privacy at the same time. Our friend went on a search and came across this condominium for rent. At $160.00, a night split four ways that was a deal. Our condominium was number "222"and from looking at the photos on the web site, it looked to be warm and cozy. We arrived in Mammoth around 2:30am; the complex is not too big, which was nice. Our condominium was located upstairs and not too far from the street. Laura and I went in first with our things, and WOW the place was big and had all the accommodations of home. Two bedrooms (one full and one loft) Two full bathrooms Fully equipped kitchen for your every cooking needs Bath towels and linens Flat screen TVs (in the living room and bedroom) PS2 with games Children DVD's and books Electric BBQ Complimentary firewood for the wood burning stove Electric heating Free Wi-Fi Full living room (with chairs and a sink in couch) As we were unloading stuff and looking around, Laura and I realized that there was a light on in a room but the door was closed. Both of us freaked each other out about what might be behind that closed door. At first, she was going to open it, and then we decided to have one of the guys do it. Hello BF to save the day! BF looked at us as if we were crazy then cracked a smile and went to open the door. Whoever cleaned the condominium left the bedroom light on. So glad that there was not some weirdo in there! We laughed it off and started to unpack our things. BF and I took the loft bedroom; the stairs are pretty steep and windy walking up with your luggage. Got a great workout that whole weekend too! Our area had plenty of space. Two full size beds, a torch lamp, and an old school TV that only had three cable channels a DVD/VHS and plenty of kiddie DVD's (womp womp)! Now for the truly creepy part of our stay, I noticed that there was what looked like two boards put up over some windows. BF poked at one of the boards that were covering the space and it budged a little. Figuring that it was secure and that it was probably either another unit or a storage space we did not think much of it. As I went downstairs, we heard this loud bang, the board that BF poked had fallen into the other unit (or storage space) all three of us came rushing up to see what happened in the loft. To our surprise, there was another room complete with a single bed, a creepy old school desk in the corner and a lamp on the floor. I now definably cannot sleep with that board being inside that room. So Laura said she would go inside and try to put it back up. When she went in she realized that "other unit" was actually part of ours and it had a lot of crap stored in there (extra blankets, paint cans ect). I was so happy that we were able to put the board back up. Now for the lowlights on the place (outside of the above mentioned): -Bugs! Yes, I know it is the mountains but come on inside the house. This poor wood wasp was trapped inside our loft area window. He never came down to bug us. However, his buzzing scared me whenever I was sitting on the floor in our area. -Dead bugs on our comforters. -Our urber uncomfortable bed that come to find out was an extra mattress that was tossed onto our mattress. -Bring your own TP. We started out with only one. No bueno when there are two dudes in the house! -The heater works great! If you are staying in the loft, by night 2 you are sweating worse than in a sauna. -Loft bathroom has an electric wall heater and a super bright vanity mirror, the combo of the two plus taking a hot shower makes it super warm (think mister toads wild ride hell scene) -The place is in bad need of some fixing and a lot of TLC. -Couch is made of feathers, which poke and hurt; we decided to use the extra comforter to put on top. Parking lot had a lot of spaces to park at anytime of the day or night; the complex was quite during the day and night, which was nice. And everything is within walking distance too! I would totally come back and stay here again, just probably not in unit 222! Eeks!

You could easily sleep 8 here comfortably. - They have ALL the cookware and cutlery that you would expect at home (some airBNBs skimp on this), along with a basket of fruit, water, and energy bars, and also some things you don't normally see like tin foil and olive oil. - Fireplace was nice - There is an outdoor BBQ which is great for larger groups. - Very clean, well-maintained. Owners have good taste. - We had no trouble parking at all, and there is a giant tractor on site that did a good job scraping the ice and snow away. - You can walk to the Village, albeit a little treacherous with the ice. The cons: - Maybe it was the altitude but the oven took like 50% longer to cook. It's older so I think it was under temp. - The walls are paper thin. Our neighbors arrived at 10pm on our last night with a bunch of kids in the loft and I swear it sounded like they were inside our unit. I could hear every word, clearly. So if you are sensitive to noise when sleeping, I'd suggest earplugs or headphones. - It's an older model so the kitchen is pretty tight, and the showers are made for small people (wasn't a big deal). We would definitely recommend!

Conveniently located and walking distance to Canyon Lodge and the Village. Location is also along…read morethe shuttle line. Our corner unit comfortably accommodated four of us with plenty of room to spare. Our unit had two bedrooms (one king size bed and one with a queen sized bed) with en-suite bathrooms, a sleep loft, an an additional bathroom on three levels. Nicely updated and well-maintained. Clean linens, cozy, Wifi, and nice full kitchen. Units come with lockers to store your ski equipment which are located in the interior hallways. Not much to say about the rest of the complex since we didn't go beyond our unit. Got lucky with a parking spot right by building entrance. Minor observation not uncommon at this time of the year; Interior hallways a little musty, damp and drafty. Not sure if there was a delay in maintenance, but the snow was not cleared from doors nor exterior stairs making coming and going a little treacherous. Would definitely stay here again.
