So glad this place is in the woodlands. Cupcakes are a must try too. So fresh, and the icing is some of the best you will ever eat. I don't come often because parking is always a nightmare, and tonight was no exception. When I showed them the app, the staff seemed confused on how to do a redemption. So they had to call the owner for help. The owner apparently told them not to honor the redemption because they were in the process of switching rewards program platforms, and what used to be a 50‑point reward was going to be a 300‑point reward. The staff said my points would transfer eventually, but I only will have 63 -- not enough under the new system. Hey, I'm no entrepreneur. But I am a customer who eats out all the time. And to me this is a textbook example of an owner who doesn't get customer service. I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer. Congrats and enjoy your cakeballs.

According to the one and only employee on site, has been broken for awhile and no indications on when it will be fixed We went there specifically for the interesting and "famous" Vietnamese Coffee swirl- hasn't been offered in ages? And matcha. Label on broken machine. Operating machine has vanilla and chocolate About 1/3 of the flavors had lids on them indicating sold out not available. Another 1/3 tubs were near bottom. There were some very creative and unusual but exciting flavor options but alas We eyed Mint Straglielatta made with chards of dark chocolate. It was very good to excellent. Loved how it is served at lower gelato type temperatures. The flavors intense but not overly sweet. However the texture was quite gimmy/elastic- some kind of additive???? Lots of seating inside. Kinda wide open. Very bright. Not much decorations you find in typical shoe string start up Asian family establishments. They had wooden block games (tic tack toe) on tables for kids. I guess I was expecting more. Especially it was a late Friday afternoon. Figure they would have all flavors in preparation for weekend???? I hope they survive and make it. I think it has potential to really be something successful

Came here after the movies with my boyfriend and we split a Cookies and Dream. - Cookies and Dream (3/5): I love the combo of warm brownie with soft serve. Also the Oreo bits added a nice texture. But this desert was just WAY TOO SWEET. The vanilla sauce was more like a sugary frosting that ruined the whole dessert for me.I don't know if it's because I'm old and my sweet tooth isn't as strong, but I couldn't eat much of it even after scraping off part of the frosting. Service/ambiance: Overall I think this was such a fun late night spot. We came at around 11:30 and the place was filled with people, mostly groups of friends, and it gave such a lively atmosphere. There was also board games that you can borrow.

We were in Houston from Dallas for a baseball tournament and decided to stop by House of Pies…read more After hearing so many people talk about it, we had to see what all the hype was about, and it definitely did not disappoint. The selection of pies is incredible. Honestly, I can't think of anywhere in the Dallas area that offers this kind of variety. If you're a pie lover, this place feels like paradise. The highlight of our visit was the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. In all my years living in Texas, I don't think I've ever seen strawberry rhubarb pie offered at a restaurant. It was absolutely amazing, especially when paired with a scoop of ice cream. We also tried the Chocolate Cream Pie, French Black Bottom Pie, and Coconut Cream Pie, and every single one was excellent. Each pie had a fresh, homemade quality that made it easy to see why this place has such a loyal following. The food was fresh, hot, and served promptly. Beyond the food, the customer service was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, polite, and genuinely seemed to care about providing a great experience. It's becoming increasingly rare to find that level of service, and it made a positive impression on us. The overall experience reminded me of Marie Callender's, but with better food and a much larger personality. There's a nostalgic charm to House of Pies that makes you want to stay a little longer and save room for another slice. The only thing preventing me from giving a full five-star review is the non-transparent service fee. I would much rather see menu prices increased by 2-3% and have the fee eliminated altogether. The final cost would be the same, but the pricing would feel more straightforward and customer-friendly. That minor criticism aside, House of Pies was one of the highlights of our trip to Houston. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu and, of course, more pie.
