Free 1st timers dessert - carrot cake
    Dave M.

Outstanding breakfast and brunch spot (and probably lunch & dinner) in the Woodlands area. Everything is scratch made, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is casual with indoor & outdoor seating. You order at the counter(s), or at the table from the roving staff with handheld PoS units. I tried the Big TX Breakfast, subbed in the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes to share. Top quality ingredients, bacon & sausage were excellent, eggs were prepared perfectly and the breakfast potatoes were crispy and seasoned just right. My wife got an omelette that was stuffed full, and my daughter got bacon & eggs with a "fantastic" cappuccino. They were busy, but we got rings in at 9:45 on a Saturday morning. You can't go wrong here. Great desserts and other carry outs.

If you're looking for quality in The Woodlands, this is it. We were immediately impressed by the fact that you can purchase full bottles of wine and beer on-site. The staff is wonderful--a helpful young man at the register guided us toward the Happy Hour menu, which is surprisingly extensive. The Mahi-Mahi tacos were crispy and fresh, and the burger was top-tier. Even the smaller details, like the fresh strawberry puree in the milkshake and the generous pour in the margarita, showed a commitment to quality. The waitstaff made us feel truly welcome, managing a busy crowd with total grace. Just a heads up: the parking lot and the dining room fill up quickly because the word is definitely out!

I came here last night to eat dinner with my coworker. Initial impression of the restaurant was that the concept was very confusing. They had two different lines and counters to order from. The one on the left was for food and the right side is for drinks/desserts, but both sides you can order a meal from. I had my eyes set on the Beyond Burger, but either the brioche bun nor the gluten free bun was vegan as both had eggs in it. They have no other options for buns. The cashier was clueless on what was vegan, but luckily he was smart enough to ask a line cook or someone else in the kitchen. I settled on the tempeh wrap without cheese and aioli sauce with the sweet potato fries. My order cost $16.24. Pretty pricey for a wrap cut in half with a small order of fries. Anyways, the Texas unsweetened tea was watered down and didn't taste as strong as I would have liked. It tasted like they only used one tea bag instead of multiple. The tempeh wrap was surprisingly very flavorful and delicious! OMG, I wasn't expecting that kick of well seasoned veg option. I've cooked with tempeh before and it's known not to hold flavor like tofu, so I'm wondering how did they make it work. The tomatoey sauce that they paired with it was pretty bland, but I'm glad one of the wait staff brought me some plain mustard to zest it up a bit. I think a vinegarette would work to replace the aioli, but they didn't have that option. Very busy restaurant. It was people every which way. Inside and outside. It's located within an office building complex with a rather large parking lot. I'm glad we managed to snag a booth. The lack of one star is because they only have one vegan option and I would get tired of that really quick, meaning I couldn't eat here as often as I would like. Oh well, there's other great restaurants in the area. There are plenty of vegetarian options tho.

Had an event at Collins and were in search of place close by for dinner. Tucked away adjoining what looks like a business office building. The crowd was definitely older here. Nice patio with fire but taken up by an older couple who were taking their sweet time. It's counter service and then you take a buzzer to your table. Counter staff was nice. The manager made the round to check on customers which we always appreciate. The bus boys were hungry for work. Even took our plates while we were still eating which I found a bit odd. The parking is self service and there were plenty of spaces all around. Decided to try their "signature" fried chicken sandwich. It's drenched in sauce which was a little too much for my liking. But it has a nice kick. You can add bacon jam and a fried egg for $2.50. But I think with all the sauce on the sandwich you'd be hard pressed to taste the bacon jam. They let me try some of the jam to see if I liked it first, but I didn't care for the flavor that much although it does have bits of bacon in it (and usually anything with bacon I love). We upgraded the shoestring fries that come with the sandwich to Parmesan for $1.50 which has shredded cheese sprinkled on top with some truffle sauce. Still French fries at the end of the day. But nice twist. We also got the junbo lump crab cake entree. It's described as 5 oz. piece. The jumbo lump crab cake itself was nice although I don't care for the bed of veggies mixed with sauce underneath. It has a starchy andheavy taste I think due to the chickpeas in the garbanzo bean succotash. But the flavor was good. They forgot the peanut butter shake so I had to go back and ask them about it. When we eventually got it during the meal. My kid like it. They have a lot of deserts across the way from where you order at the counter. But we were full and did not partake. They look good though. If you drink water note that They have cucumber and citrus water for drinking as well as regular. Soda is in a self serve machine like at the movie theatre. There are also a bunch of to go containers to DIY which I was happy to do.

Went to The Kitchen for brunch and was blown away. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the restaurants cleanliness was exceptional. The artisan croissant biscuits and gravy was one of the best I have ever tasted. My wife got the Cowboy burger, the jalapeño and onion jam on it is so delicious. Our friend got the Texas Breakfast and fresh peach preserves so amazing. The service although an order at the counter and then they bring it out, in place of standard table service. It was very quick and we had several staff check in on us as well as the manager checking in on us.

Our party of four went here for brunch on a Friday, late morning. The venue is setup where you make a line and order from the counter, then find a table. The coffee, tea, and water station is self-service. The Texas Pecan coffee was excellent, although it would have been nice to have an assortment of creamers versus just the plain half-n-half creamer. Specialty coffees and breakfast drinks, along with an assortment of desserts are at another station. While our table was along the side in the main dining area, I would not recommend going again on a Friday morning, as they were hosting a large group of real estate professionals, and all the tables in the middle of the dining area were rearranged for the group. Most of the participants did not sit at their tables. Rather, they stood in small groups networking and discussing business, making it hard to navigate to our table or to have much conversation at our table due to groups basically standing right beside our table the whole time. On to the food. Our party had various versions of the Texas Breakfast, each choosing different style eggs, and one opted for the cinnamon roll pancakes versus the standard pancakes. All items were good tasting, but nothing out of the ordinary. I will say that the "3 pancakes" included as part of the Texas Breakfast were quite small...3-4" in diameter. One in our party ordered the biscuits and gravy. What a let-down! The skimpy portion of gravy tasted OK, but the croissants did not go with it at all. They were a tough and chewy mess. Definitely need to rethink this menu offering and maybe switch to more traditional biscuits and gravy options! On the positive side, the server that brought out our food was courteous and helpful.

We had a party of four and the experience was wonderful. Our table ordered two blackened chicken pastas, mahi-mahi tacos, and a steak quesadilla. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor the food was absolutely great. There was a small mix-up where my sister's order of blackened chicken pasta was accidentally missed since we ordered two of the same dish. However, Mr. Kurt quickly stepped in, placed the order for her right away, and made sure we were taken care of. His professionalism and attentiveness really stood out and turned the situation into a great experience. The service and food were both excellent. Thank you, Mr. Kurt, for taking such good care of us. We truly appreciate it and will definitely be back!

Always a great time when you come here, the vibe is so upbeat and vibrant. The food is delicious I am a repeat person but instead of a caramel macchiato this time I went for a mocha cappuccino it was delicious also. The chicken and waffles is great it's a large waffle with a large chicken breast slice and half and fried to perfection. The eggs are scrambled perfectly on the side. The bananas Foster French toast is a hit if you like bananas. They are caramelized and excellent with all of the delicate flavors that you need hitting those taste buds that make you want to eat everybody that's on your plate. If you haven't been here before, you are missing out. The menu selection is very nice, you'll definitely find something you will enjoy if it's a salad sandwich or just any kind of coffee or mixed drink or a happy hour you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

    So many treats!

Mother's Day did not disappoint here at The Kitchen in the Woodlands! Yes, there was a line, but thankfully it moved quickly! If you've never tried the chicken and waffles, do yourself a favor and go for it! A lot of places have it, but I promise you, this might be some of the best fried chicken you will ever eat! This was my daughter's plate, but she shared some with me, (of course!) .... I had a traditional breakfast and it was amazing as per usual. We had a beautiful seat and view of outdoors by the window. Such a lovely day! The service was impeccable even with it being Mother's Day, and insanely busy. These guys are always over the top with food quality and service. .... It's why we go back, again and again!

This is the blackened red fish on top of a cream sauce and black rice. I devoured half of it.

The kids and I dined here tonight and we loved it! The ambiance is very chic and inviting. You have to order your food at the register and they bring it to you. The menu is diverse and alluring. I ordered the blackened red fish with black rice, a cream sauce and a fresh baguette! It was sooo good. The kids had items they enjoyed also. The staff, Michael and Garrett and all other personnel, were very friendly and helpful! We even got free chocolate chip cookies and lemon cake as a surprise dessert! Thank you all for a wonderful time and we will be back soon. I think this spot will start a new family tradition.

The food was really good, perfection. A good variety of options on the menu. The staff was friendly. But the place is very busy. There is a bunch of stuff (food counters, wine boxes, etc ) right as you enter. It's a popular place which is a good sign, but all the tables are close together and hard to move around. I won't actively seek out going here but if someone invited me, id go (if that makes sense)

A French toast entree that was a big hit with the lucky kiddo who ordered it and those who helped her finish it...

There are other restaurants with good food but there aren't many with great food along with many healthy choices and that still taste great. This is a fave for me and my son and we loved our visit today. Highly recommend

Just don't promise me tongue searing- and it's ketchup level spicy.
