Conveniently located across the street from our lodging for the weekend. The place had a cabin/mountain atmosphere and was neat and clean. There were only a couple other people there when we were there for lunch. Service was slow, but signs on the tables alerted us to that fact when we first sat down. The (only?) server was super nice and did a great job of doing seemingly everything that needed to be done! Food was good. We went back for dinner and were seated outside, due to the large group we were with. This time the (same) server had another girl to help her. Food was again good. They were ok with us having our little doggie with us.

Great customer service, good food. My hubby spilled a beer on my pasta, and they made me a whole new plate at no charge. I greatly appreciated that! Wings, chili and pizza were good, especially for how remote they are. In the middle of summer, they had hot cocoa which made my kid very happy after getting doused in the cold river. I'd give the food 3 stars but the service 4+!

Nestled in picturesque Arnold California you will find this amazing hangout spot. Craft beers and tasty food can be found here. Myself I have been making the trip to Arnold for over 15 years just to get their Apricot wheat ale into my belly. The place has a stove for ambiance, dance floor, and a huge bar. They serve their craft beers on tap or you can buy some to go. The staff is super friendly and I always meet amazing humans when I stop by. Only closed on MONDAYS, so great for a weekend trip to the redwoods.

I ordered the pepperoni pizza with white sauce. Delicious! I loved the crust too. Wasn't floppy and had a nice crunch! I'd definitely order this again. Maybe next time I'll add sausage

Bison chili, best I've ever had regarding any chili.

Stopped in for some brews since we were staying right across the street and it was super easy to walk over. We had the bison chili and we also ordered the snowshoe burger. Our bartender knew we wanted to split so she had the kitchen split the burger and fries on two plates and split the chili in two bowls. That was nice! We loved both dishes but honestly I've never had better chili, ever. I'm not really a chili person because it can vary so much so it's never consistent but on her recommendation, we ordered it. Very meaty and very tasty, not gamey, but just flat good. The burger was pretty standard but they didn't skimp on the meat. Was nice and juicy and really a very good burger. I just bumped them up from 4 to 5 stars because my mouth is watering again just writing this :)

Apparently a new owner took over. Service was slow, we ordered the flight beer, and a bunch of appetizers. It was ok overall. Nothing spectacular, but it was food when I've been starving all day!

Beer menu that is subject to change.

I got the steak sandwich with blue cheese and my buddy got a black and blue cheeseburger and it was like the best blue cheese, meat, I've had in a long time. I've seen other reviews where people are complaining that they're in a rush and that the service is slow and that is somewhat true but it's because they take their time to make your food right so if your kids are hungry and you need to eat in a hurry I suggest McDonald's, otherwise This is a place to chill and spend an hour.

Ask the Community - Snowshoe Brewing Company

Is this the same Brewery that used to be on standard Road a long time ago?

Yes, it is now under new ownership. This was the original location, while the Sonora location closed many years ago and is now the Standard Pour.

A little over priced, imo, since you have no server and have to grab menus, table, water, etc yourself. Order at the register, they'll bring it to you. Lots of rotating options on tap! Tried a canned wine that wasn't to my fruition palate, but they have hard Seltzer and spurs that are absolutely delicious! Like a grown up Capri sun, so refreshing. Our favorite menu options are the pretzel and the Caesar salad. I also tried the shrimp tacos, and they were good, but fairly small portion of ingredients and shrimp for the price. I haven't tried any sandwiches yet, but those look promising. Sandwiches and tacos come with chips, or you can upgrade to fries or salad. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. I've only eaten inside, but there seems to be a beer garden behind the brewery.

I like the vibes and they usually have pretty decent food. I was really excited to see that they had Beer Slushies and Non-Alcoholic Slushies on their menu. They also came in different sizes - I got a 5 oz glass of each. I loved the Beer Slushie - I even ordered another one because they were that good. My daughter also really liked the Non-Alcoholic version which was Vanilla Ice Cream and Red Starburst Slushie. For food, we ordered the Cubano Sandwich and Loaded Baked Potato with added Jalapenos. The food was okay - it was flavorful and cooked well, but there was nothing overly special about it. Our friends ordered Nachos and Fish Tacos as well which I think they enjoyed. Overall, I can't really comment on staff other than the guy at the counter that takes your order who was nice. I saw that they do events on Tuesdays like trivia and they also were advertising a fundraiser that was coming up - I like when businesses support their local community! I would definitely come back for a Beer Slushie...or three! Check them out!

Fortunately, we remembered passing a sign for Indigeny Reserve and saw on the map that it was within walking distance. Since it was already after 3pm and they closed at 5pm, we decided to drive over and make the most of our afternoon before they closed. When we walked in, the building was empty, but we were eager to try a cider tasting. Browsing the shop, we found a variety of merchandise--shirts, hats, sweaters, and an assortment of cheeses, crackers, chips, and other tasty treats. Eventually, a friendly staff member greeted us and offered the $10 tasting. Since closing time was approaching, she joked about giving us paper cups to avoid running the dishwasher. We didn't mind, but she kindly served the cider in glasses, which made the experience nicer. She also offered a whiskey tasting in a cool room lined with barrels and tables, plus gift boxes and other products. The whiskey tasting was just $2, with three varieties to sample. I'm not much of a whiskey fan, but I appreciated that she wasn't rushing us out. Both of us loved the Blackberry cider, so we each ordered a glass to enjoy outside. The outdoor area is expansive, with wooden benches, tables, and lawn chairs scattered across a grassy lawn overlooking a large vineyard. Only a few couples and families lingered--likely because of the early closing time. After relaxing with our ciders, we wandered down the trail to the lake. Along the way, we discovered old barns, a whimsical gnome area, and several upside-down boats tied up near the shore. If the boats hadn't been secured, we joked about taking one out for a row on the lake! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Indigeny Reserve and, in retrospect, wished we had brought the teens along. Still, it made for a wonderful little date.
