Walked in with 5 adults and 2 kids. Only a few other people in on a Thursday at 5pm. We were seated and told they were out of 3 beers. Still plenty of options. We reviewed the menu, ordered drinks. Beers were good but nothing to brag about. We ordered food - two burgers, pulled pork sandwich, two pizzas and kids chicken tenders. It took nearly 45 minutes. We watched others who came in after us get their food. My assumption was they were trying to serve our whole party at the same time. Food was average. Nothing stood out. It got busy while we were there and they were seriously under staffed. The bartender/waiter, and another woman bringing food out from the kitchen was it. We wanted to like it but it was average. We were in town for the holiday weekend so maybe our review won't matter but I wouldn't come back for average food and slow service. There is potential. read more

Went to snowshoe years ago and it was only mediocre. Fast forward to this week and two ownership changes later. We decked to give it another chance. Well the good is that the food was fresh and hot and the service is super friendly. We went early and had the whole place to ourselves for a little while. We got the black and bleu hamburger and jalapeño sausage pizza. The burger was good but had this odd cranberry type sauce. It was great with the generous burger but the bun was like a bolillo roll. The pizza was with no traditional red sauce which we must have missed. The pizza was hot and tasty but not as expected. The beer was a bit flat and they had several crossed out on the menu. Seemed like an old tap. Overall I would say it hasn't changed much all these years. I would say it's as expected after all these years later. read more

Hard to call yourself a brewery when 7 out of the 10 beers on tap are unavailable. That alone should've been our cue to turn around and walk right back out. To make matters worse, the bartender completely disappeared into the back for about 12 minutes. No acknowledgment, no explanation, no "I'll be right with you." When they finally reappeared, they came out wobbling, with an awful demeanor and an overall vibe that was uncomfortable and wildly unprofessional. Absolutely nothing about the interaction resembled hospitality -- or even basic customer service. Between the barren tap list and the strange, unpleasant service, we decided to leave without buying drinks. We won't be back, and we certainly wouldn't recommend anyone go out of their way to visit this desolate establishment. Huge disappointment all around. read more

Great customer service, good food. My hubby spilled a beer on my pasta, and they made me a whole new plate at no charge. I greatly appreciated that! Wings, chili and pizza were good, especially for how remote they are. In the middle of summer, they had hot cocoa which made my kid very happy after getting doused in the cold river. Visited this place on a very hot evening with our dog. We just wanted a couple beers, so I can't comment on the food menu. The brewery is dog-friendly, so we were able to sit outside with her in the backyard area. Lots of grass, picnic tables, and a big jug of water with some dog bowls. The waitstaff was very friendly and peppy. We had an IPA, which we thought was underwhelming, and the brown ale. The brown ale was tasty. We'd visit here again if we're in the area! read more

Walked in today to have lunch. There were a ton of people and their dogs waiting in the lobby. We decided it might be easier and faster to sit at the bar. The bartender seemed very stressed, she told us that she was very backed up with tables and that it was going to be a while before she could help us. Someone next to us was trying to order and asked if they had hot cider. The bartenders response was that yes they did but it wasn't anything special, it was out of a packet. She then told the same person that she'd get to him when she could, that she was way behind and needed to put some people's food orders in. We weren't the only ones waiting. The bartender had on one wet, soppy very unsanitary glove and one bare hand. She used both to make drinks, touch various items and did not wash. Very unprofessional, unsanitary and rude. read more

Stopped in for some brews since we were staying right across the street and it was super easy to walk over. We had the bison chili and we also ordered the snowshoe burger. Our bartender knew we wanted to split so she had the kitchen split the burger and fries on two plates and split the chili in two bowls. That was nice! We loved both dishes but honestly I've never had better chili, ever. I'm not really a chili person because it can vary so much so it's never consistent but on her recommendation, we ordered it. Very meaty and very tasty, not gamey, but just flat good. The burger was pretty standard but they didn't skimp on the meat. Was nice and juicy and really a very good burger. I just bumped them up from 4 to 5 stars because my mouth is watering again just writing this :) read more

I've only had two terrible dining experiences in Arnold. And they were BOTH here! The first time I had lunch with a friend. The service was poor, the food took way too long for an almost completely empty restaurant, and what finally arrived was mediocre at best. But what the heck. Maybe it was a bad day. I figured I should give them another shot and went for dinner with my family. The waitress ignored us for almost 15 minutes then finally took our order. Over an HOUR later we had received NOTHING and hadn't been checked up on once. It was almost humorous (if I didn't have two hungry kids). Finally had to walk to the waitress and tell her to forget it. Her only response was "it should only be a few more minutes." I explained that she took our order over an hour prior and we hadn't been checked on. So no review of what we might have eaten, but this was by far the worst service in town. I was able to drive to Big Trees Market, shop, go home and cook tacos for the family in under an hour. This place is the WORST! read more

You rock Maddie! We walked into Snowshoe Brewery after a hike on the Arnold Rim Trail (definitely recommend checking this adventure) feeling we had earned a well deserved beer. We waited just a moment and were seated outside ( we had our pups with us). Great Service: I have to say how impressed we were with our waitress, Maddie (sorry if the spelling is wrong)because even though it was just her and the owner holding down the fort she was nailing it. Very pleasant personality. Great Beer: Hubby ordered the Alpine but I was having a hard time deciding what to get and asked if they have flights. She said sure and because they only six brews on tap at the moment that's what she could bring. She also asked are the two of you sharing and hubby said no I'll still get the Alpine (22oz). Alright so I should have realized when she made the sharing comment .... I should have taken a moment to what that meant. So the samples are 4oz each. That's a substantial sampling. I got the steak sandwich with blue cheese and my buddy got a black and blue cheeseburger and it was like the best blue cheese, meat, I've had in a long time. I've seen other reviews where people are complaining that they're in a rush and that the service is slow and that is somewhat true but it's because they take their time to make your food right so if your kids are hungry and you need to eat in a hurry I suggest McDonald's, otherwise This is a place to chill and spend an hour. read more

Would have given it a zero, but have to at least give it a one. Went in on June 26 around 3 in the afternoon. No employee to be found. Yelled hello a few time, walked around the place, yelled hello a few more time, went by the kitchen entrance and yelled hello again, and finally knocked very loudly on the wall and nothing. I could hear people talking in the back. Maybe hard to hear me over the loud music in the back. Whatever. Explains why the parking lot was empty. Found another nice little pub in town that was nice, friendly, and understands great service. read more

Still rooting for this place to reach its potential, but alas, there is still a lot that needs to improve. One improvement is my last review is that the employees are at least trying. Also, the back "patio" space looks more inviting now. -Beer is mediocre at best. We are in a craft beer renaissance and there's tons of talented brewers. Snowshoe needs some consulting with one of them to revamp their process. The beers are generally just too cloyingly sweet. -Servers and kitchen staff are trying, but look skinny and unkempt. I know it's a mountain town, but there's a line between casual and a lobby, and snowshoe is over it. -The old carpet is disgusting - When we visited they were not understaffed, but the system of responsibilities was very inefficient and made things slower than necessary and more stressful on the staff. -Details such as the barely functioning cheap cornhole boards don't show that management wants to attract people. - The dining area on the right of the entrance, where the video games used to be, looks odd and out of place. Not to mention, unnecessary. When was the last time snowshoe needed that many tables? The old way with some video games there for kids was so fun for families. - Food is okay, but presentation is very low- brow for this type of place. Really good food. The chili by far is the best I have ever had. It's a very chill place with good beer/ drinks and a cool vibe and friendly staff. The steak sandwich was so tasty as well, the pizza we ended up having the next day and yep all was eaten. Only sad part was the kids mac n cheese. Absolutely lovely experiences every time in this establishment. Bartenders and waitresses are fun storytellers and leave me entertained. Waters and beers get filled up asap. Solid apps and pizza. Employee on aux plays bangers. Apricot beer shmacks and is the reason I habitually ride their comfortable and cushioned bar stool at this restaurant. One of their employees makes exquisite handmade artwork that showcases their specials. They play the important sports games. My truck battery actually died in the parking lot and their employees jump started my vehicle to make sure I got home safe. I have waited out snowstorms at this bar. It's hard not to like this local brewery with super friendly staff! The beers are average, nothing super special, but for a such tiny alpine town I was just happy they had a brewery! We tried a flight, which was adorable and includes 4 house made beers plus 2 guest ciders. The best beers were probably the IPA and the Apricot Wheat, ciders were not good. The indoor ambiance is underwhelming, but there's a large outdoor area if you come in the warmer months. read more

Pasta and pizza were delicious! We were the only table there and our food took a little over 30 minutes. This was our third time here in the last two 1/2 years and the service is incredibly slow. Most people stopping by are on their way home and have a long drive with hungry kids. I wish it felt like they acknowledged that a little more. There were 3 tables with 4-5 people each, so semi busy but not too bad. Waited for 10 minutes to be served but no waiter/waitress came to serve our table. So we got up and left.
