    Beer flight

Such a nice place to grab a bite and either beer or wine. I tried a beer flight and had a hot dog. It was really good. I really liked the Lilikoi Sour. The hubs got a pale ale and he liked his too. It is decorated really nice and I believe the owner is the one who took our order. We will be back.

We've been meaning to try Southern Mines Brewing Company since they've soft-opened and finally went yesterday and it did not disappoint. My husband loves trying different breweries so we were excited to check it out, but everything exceeded what we expected. We honestly can't express how good both the beer and food are. I did a flight and liked every one. My personal favorite was the "Beer Hug" with a hint of cardamom. Really unique and balanced. The food was just as good. The arepas were the standout. I got the jalapeño popper with the green sauce and immediately knew I was not sharing with Nick Of course he saw it and convinced me to do halfsies, but honestly everything we tried was so good it worked out. We also tried the pizza arepa and that one was great too. We shared a Cuban sandwich and even that was so good. I'm usually not a fan of Cuban sandwiches but this one was perfect. It's right off Highway 108 and such a great stop on the way up the mountain. Nice indoor and outdoor seating and just a really good overall vibe. Jonathan helped us and was super friendly. I think he might be one of the owners and mentioned his brother in law is the brew master. They said their grand opening should be around April 11 if that doesn't change. We're really excited to have this as an option up here and can't wait to bring family and friends when they visit. Definitely going back

I went to Southern Mines to check it out since it's a new brewery and eatery in town. The menu is small and simple, offering arepas and brew dogs with a few variations of each. The arepas were delicious, and the brew dogs looked really good too. The beer selection had a nice variety, though there weren't any non-alcoholic options available, which would have been nice during Dry January. Everything looked clean and well kept. It's a smaller space, but it will be great once the weather is nicer and the outdoor seating opens up to add more room. Overall, it's a cute spot and a nice addition to town.

Great service. I had the double IPA and the wife had the Porter. The food that was coming out looked good, we just had some simple chips. Next time we will have to try their pupusa!

Such a fun and inviting spot. Service was quick and Friendly. Every single beer I tried was absolutely delicious. I'm not even a fan of sours yet theirs was really well balanced and refreshing. Reasonably priced and delicious food !! They offered such a cool fusion of Colombian arepas. My Husband got the High Sierra dog which was sooo good too. Very impressed. Officially my new favorite spot when I'm Visiting Sonora.

It's a smaller spot, so expect a wait, but honestly the bar makes it easy to relax while you wait for a table. Everyone was very attentive and polite. When I stayed in Mariposa, I tried their special. A burger with shrimp and sweet potato fries. Definitely different, but it worked surprisingly well and tasted amazing. Also, you HAVE to try the local brews, so get the flight. This place honestly feels like Mariposa's little slice of fancy without trying too hard. I had dessert too, and I can't even remember what it was called... I just remember it was gooooooood.

This was our first time stopping by after 6 p.m. because we wanted to relax with a couple of beers and dessert. When we asked for a table, we were told there was a wait. That's completely understandable, so I asked how long the wait would be. Instead of giving us an estimate, we were immediately encouraged to just get our desserts to go. It left us feeling like our business wasn't welcome because we weren't ordering a full dinner. We're not tourists passing through--we're locals who support this restaurant year-round, including during the slower times. Every customer should feel welcome, whether they're ordering a full meal or just stopping in for dessert and drinks. Unfortunately, after this experience, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. Mariposa has plenty of great places that make every guest feel appreciated.

Came for the burger :)…read more My husband and I live in the East Bay and wanted to go on a lil drive. We decided on Murphy's for the Watering Hole burger which did not disappoint. We ordered 2 Double Cheese Burgers, the Broccoli Bacon Ranch Salad and an order of French Fries that included a side of ranch. All of what we ordered was delicious. The burgers come with double patties and are grilled along with the onions, the bun lightly toasted, soft and sweet and included a smear of 1,000 dressing. The burgers have 2 different types of cheese, fresh crispy shredded lettuce, pickles and sliced ripe tomato. It is the perfect combination and proportions of all ingredients. The Broccoli Bacon Ranch salad was not like anything I have had before and was a nice surprise to our taste buds. The salad included fresh bell peppers both yellow and red. It also had pickled onions, sunflower seeds, bacon and blue cheese that was all tossed together with ranch dressing which made it very convenient and easy to eat. Last but not least, the French Fries. They included a nice seasoning on the outside for a crispy texture and a creamy inside which I love. I liked the fact that they serve the fries with homemsde ranch and I didnt even have to ask for it...it's the little things for me. We sat inside to dine, I enjoyed seeing what others were eating, of course lots of burgers but also ribs, pasta, chicken sandwiches, salads and even cheese cake for dessert. I like that the menu offered a variety of options and brought great value for the quality and care that you can taste in every bite! I did not notice any issues with service as I saw other reviews reported. I would say that the inside, although cozy was a bit loud while others socialize. I think it was simply the high ceilings that carry the noise. The outside seating area is another option and is very nice as it's next to a stream which we would have chosen if it hadn't been 57° outside that day.

Food- burger that is hefty and flavorful; which compliments the Hair of the Bear. I want to like the waffle fries, but needed a little bit more crunch. Pricing - resort town prices. If you plan on eating, head inside and wait to be seated. Once you're seated you can order from the QR code on the menu or order from the counter and tell them your table number. The menu was super sticky and dirty and I don't like when I have to tip before receiving service which is the only option when you order from the QR code unless you want to leave cash at the end. The flatbread pizza was pretty bad. My kiddos only took a couple of bites. I tried it and the bread was pretty tough. The quinoa falafel bowl was just ok. The salad portion was refreshing but the falafels were super dry. The service was lacking, the person who delivered our food was not friendly and I kept getting overlooked at the counter when I tried to order drinks.
