Stayed one night at this beautiful hotel in the mountains. If you are okay with staying a little bit off the beaten path then you will love Snowvillage. We enjoyed exploring the property and the quite rustic feel of the red barn. The hot complimentary breakfast was wonderful. The fresh blueberry muffins were some of the best we have had. My husband and I dropped our Daughter off at the sleepover camp down the street from Snow Village Inn. We had never been in the area and boy were were SO happy we decided to stay here. I read the reviews ahead of time and they had some of the best reviews for the hotels/Inns in the area. I was overwhelmed with how beautiful this property is - the grounds, the main Inn, the other houses and the inside were all stunning. I can't even come up with the words to describe this place. You can tell the Staff truly love working here. We stayed in the Chimney house - the room was so cute, clean and had everything we needed. The fireplace in the room was electronic so we could easily turn it on and off. The bathroom was perfect size and was even equipped with handles for people who need assessable rooms. There was no TV which was perfect as I really wanted a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of real life. The icing on the cake was the restaurant. My Husband is a high end Chef and we are used to NYC restaurants and service. This place blew our socks off. We shared the Oysters and Chinese dumplings, we ordered Steak, Wedge salad and the mushroom pasta dinner. 10/10 for flavor and execution. We hardly ever eat out at the same place back to back nights but decided to eat there again on the second night because it was SO good. The drinks & wine list were very good and the service was 10/10. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room and was delicious. I can NOT wait to come back. While we didn't stay at the Snowvillage Inn, we did eat at Max's. We've listened to Jen Kovach's descriptions of their specials on Wednesdays on 93.5 WMWV for a while now and went their for our 35th wedding anniversary in August 2023. Everything exceeded our expectations. Jen is just as warm and welcoming as she sounds on the radio. The staff, ours were Britany (sorry, I don't know how you spell your name!), and Tara, who was in training, were attentive, knowledgeable, and paced our dinner so we had time to enjoy each course and the company we discovered. We shared the antelope meatball appetizer, which was really good. It wasn't gamey as I thought it might be. The flavors blended together and the marinara complemented. I had the beef short ribs and they were exactly as described. They shredded with the slightest touch. My husband had the scallop skewers with vegetables and a sweet chili sauce. I couldn't resist and stole a bite - oh my gosh they were so good! Scallops can be overcooked very easily, but these Maine sourced ones were just right. Jen brought a slice of their lemon blueberry cake into the radio station the Wednesday after we'd been there. You have to have this dessert. It's light and tangy from the lemons. My wife and I along with another couple went for NYE dinner. We have been to Snowvillage before and so we know how good the food and service is. Tonight, they out did themselves. The owners Jennifer and Kevin are so friendly and welcoming. Our server Brittany was just awesome as the timing of courses was perfect and she was so personable and friendly. Got to meet Chef Josh and tell him just how wonderful his food was and to thank him for allowing us some substitutions, as not every Chef in the Valley is amenable to doing so. We wanted a special place to have a special dinner with special friends on NYE and we chose the perfect place. Five stars is not enough for the Snowvillage Inn. Went in for my wife's birthday dinner. We have been to the inn several times including immediately after our wedding. The food and service has always been excellent, however, tonight it seemed to step it up a notch. It is a new menu. I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the Moulard duck breast. The balance of the seasonings and sauces were perfect. The apps were equally as good! Aside from the food, our waitress, Ela, was great! Correct amount of attentiveness and extremely personable. This place is the "nugget". Frankly I'm reluctant to write this review, I want it all to myself! That said I have to give credit, when due. I live in Northern California where we have no shortage of amazing locally grown/raised food and wine. I first went to Snow Villiage 4 years ago and go back every time I take my Family back East to visit. Simply put, it's the best! Kevin, Jennifer, and the whole staff are some of the coolest people walking...really. Update in response to Kevin Flynn- Kevin, No...you are not going to make up untruths to make yourself and your business look as though they handled our situation respectfully & professionally. We are good, honest people and certainly take pride in our integrity. So... 1. Carrie NEVER mentioned the cancellation policy over the phone. Hence, my frustration when I called to cancel and was told the entire amount would be charged to my credit card. 2. Not once, did you address the fact that Carrie OVERCHARGED us for the room and that the additional charge for children was NEVER mentioned over the phone. It wasn't until I received an invoice the next day, that the new "plus 2 kids" rate was shown in the email. I immediately called Carrie about the discrepancy in price and she could not have been more dismissive or rude to me. She is the face of your business and she is completely unprofessional. 3. Fine, take away the gift certificate if you must for your inn to survive, but have the DECENCY to actually call me. I requested to speak with you directly and was told by Carrie that I would receive a call after breakfast had been served. No call. Nothing. Just an email from Carrie the next day saying our gift certificate was void. Is that what you refer to as "high standards?" 4. I gave a HONEST review on yelp & Facebook the ONLY two sites I actively use. There was no smear campaign as you falsely accuse me of generating. My husband reviewed your business on ONE site...Facebook, because clearly this situation involved him directly. The only other "friend" that reviewed you also via Facebook was my sister, Sonya. She was the other adult traveling with me and my children to stay at your inn. But your "excellent" customer service department would already know that, right?! Carrie asked me for her name when booking the reservation!! Thus, there's been no conspiracy on "multiple social media sites" to demolish your reputation. It was me, my husband, and sister...who wrote about OUR personal experiences with your business. 5. Also, I'd like to note, that my sister does not appreciate you harassing her on Facebook regarding her review. She simply stated she was unhappy with your customer service and when rebooking this trip for my children she decided to stay somewhere else. Leave her alone. Believe it or not, it really pained me to have to write my original review. I enjoy supporting small businesses and loved my initial stay at the inn. BUT, what we have been put through as customers, both with the previous owners and now you, is completely unfair. And to make it worse, when we expressed our unsatisfactory honestly, we were then shamed by you and accused of doing something we would NEVER do...well it's salt on the wound. This place is fantastic! Everything about the Inn is picturesque, and the owners and staff are all really nice people. From the moment we arrived everyone was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Food: My mom was a chef and restauranteur, so (admittedly) I can be a bit of a food snob; the food was very, VERY good. I so appreciated that even though WiFi was available, the environment fostered a sense of tranquility. I did not feel the need to be "connected" the entire time I was there--quite the opposite actually. There are books EVERYWHERE, boardgames and the like, friendly people to share conversation with (though it certainly was not crowded, which I also appreciated), and there are plenty of other activities and/or pastimes to choose from. My partner and I went snow shoeing one afternoon, and the following day took a spectacularly scenic drive that Kevin (one of the owners) had suggested. Looking forward to checking this place out come summer, and again in the fall. True gem! read more

My husband and I absolutely LOVED our stay at this adorable B&B. We arrived around 8:30PM and were able to settle in then enjoy a delicious dinner at Max's restaurant downstairs. We had a smaller room in the upstairs of the main house and it was just what we needed. The only complaint was that it was pretty hot and we didn't see a way to turn on A/C. We were provided with a box fan which worked okay after a while. I think it was in the low 90s that day and on a cooler day it would be fine. The room was very clean, recently updated, and so charming. The whole place was charming! Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and included fresh baked muffins both days, the first day we also had blueberry pancakes and a veggie scramble; the second day we had poached eggs with herbs and and something else I can't remember. The dining room has huge windows the look out on a flower garden, trees and the mountains beyond which we enjoyed while we ate. There is a screened porch with comfortable chairs where you can enjoy some coffee and take in the views, and the main room has a fireplace which would be so cozy in the winter. We sincerely hope to return someday and maybe stay for longer! Highly recommend!!! read more

Seriously, I can't say enough great things about this place. I had the chance to stay here a few weeks ago and, from check in to check out, I couldn't have had a better experience. It was everything I'd hoped it would be, and more--friendly staff, delicious food, beautiful decor, prime location, amazing views of the White Mountains--gorgeous inside and out. Hands down, the nicest Inn I've been to in a long time. From the moment I got there, owners Jen and Kevin were warm and friendly. Though they went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable during my entire stay, they respected my privacy and were not at all intrusive. The perfect mix! (Helpful tip: While you're there, check with them about local things to do--they have helpful maps and lists, even to other places to try for day trips. Very knowledgeable about the area--this made my stay much easier.) My room was beautiful and comfortable with old world charm--complete with handmade soap (made by Jen!) and a super comfy bed. The best sleep I've had in a long time. The food was outstanding--I was introduced to the chef--and would love the chance to eat there for upcoming birthdays, etc. if only I lived closer. Oh, Snowvillage Inn, why are you so far away? I cannot wait to return in the spring! Definitely my go-to place to get away from the city! Elegant, classy and intimate without being stuffy. A year ago we were blown away by the oysters, entrees and cocktails. Thursday disappointingly we left before dessert. Cocktail superb, the Au Paree Manhattan and the fresh oysters divine. My family and I went in for dinner last night and had the absolute best meal we have ever had! We started our experience by having drinks by the fireplace. Then we ordered 1.5 dozen Norumbega oysters from Damariscotta and the mignonette that came with them were exquisite. They were so good we ordered another 1.5 dozen when we were seated at our table. My wife ordered duck three ways for an appetizer. The confit duck was my favorite followed closely by the pate then sausage. The presentation was very cool too. I ordered the steak & frites medium rare as my entree and it was cooked to perfection. The dish came with a truffle aioli that I wanted to put on everything. My mother in law ordered the rack of lamb and we all marveled at the large portion she was given. My wife ordered the Ciopini, and i thought it was a delicious and unique dish. I haven't seen anything like it served anywhere I have dined. It was so good. The crown jewel of our dining experience was the Snake River Kobe Hanger steak. I used to work at snowvillage inn a long time ago, so going back for dinner with my son, daughter in law and her parents last night was very nostalgic. Especially as it was done in all its holiday glory. Simply beautiful. We had an amazing dining experience from the cocktails in front of the fireplace to our dinner. We ordered oysters, duck 3 ways more oysters and then dinner was served. I have dined at Ruth Chris steak house, Houstons, Emeril Lagassie's delmonico's,Nola, and his first restaurant Emerils and none compare to what I ate last night,snake river Kobe steak. AMAZING. I decided to stay here based up having breakfast here back in 2002, yes it's been a very long time. I've always wanted to stay here so we decided to do reserve a room. We visit the North Conway White Mountain region frequently. Snowvillage Inn is a very quaint and comfortable place. The Inn has a certain draw that makes you want to come back again and again. You can't beat the location of SnowVillage Inn it's on a secluded back country road and up a hill. Just wait until you get there and you will be amazed by the views on the mountains in the distance and the sound of nothing, it's just so quiet. Jen and Kevin own the inn and are very friendly and accommodating. We loved the room and the view out the back into the woods, we could even see the mountains if we stretched our necks. We took a sneak peak into the Frost suite and what an amazing view that would be to wake up too in the morning! The dining room is very charming with perfect views of Mount Washington in the distance. I also loved the old chairs! Breakfast was more than filling, you are offered a muffin as a breakfast appetizer and then a hot entree. One day we had quiche and the next was blueberry pancakes. Delicious! Ideal place for rehearsal dinner and family stay! Snowvillage Inn was simply outstanding in every way. We needed a place to put up family for my son's wedding, and also to have a dinner for 32 relatives the night before. This beautiful, comfortable, relaxing place was perfect for all of us for every aspect of the special event. Rooms were gorgeous, in 3 buildings, with lovely furnishings and comfortable social spaces. While not on a lake, the Inn has a beautiful view out to the mountains.The dinner was especially delicious (main courses of short ribs and salmon were excellent, as were passed starters and a great chocolate dessert), and every aspect of planning went smoothly. Our family took over the pace for weekend and were welcomed in every way. We enjoyed hanging out, playing games, and while some were delighted to gossip on the porch, others went off to hike, organized an impromptu yoga group, or napped. I just visited Snow Village Inn for my best friend's wedding. Everyone was amazing and so helpful. The entire place is GORGEOUS. We couldn't believe the views we were waking up to! I love the fact that there are no TVs in the rooms. You're surrounded by that much beautiful scenery that you can just sit and look out the windows and truly relax. Went to Snowvillage this evening for a great new special in Max's Pub. Friday's at Five, from 4:30-6pm they had $5 drinks and appetizers. The drinks were delicious and good liquors, I had the spiced pear cosmo, there was also a gin gimlet featured with local gin and a warm cider cocktail. Impressed by the drink selections included in the special. We enjoyed the pork dumplings, crab cake and arancini for appetizers. All very tasty! Great for sharing. A pleasant surprise, a real delight, we happened upon the Snowvillage, prefix supper club on Tuesday 2/27. Our evening began with a glass of wine and delicious appetizers in front of a welcoming fire, followed by exceptional and innovative cooking in the dining room. We were entertained by North Country Jazz a duo of saxophone and string bass. The service was attentive and friendly. We have been to the Inn a number of times but this was by far one of our best experiences. And probably one of the best evenings we have had anywhere in the Mount Washington Valley. Wow! This property is breathtaking. I want to give you a little context, not to brag but for perspective. I like BnBs and I have stayed in many. I like the combination of personal hospitality and having breakfast included which I can only ever eat when at a BnB. Ok that said The Snowvillage Inn is, to date, my favorite BnB. Its location is one of the most peaceful places I have found in the US. You can sit on their screened in porch and watch the sun set over Mt. Washington. Just amazing. Its a beautiful three building Inn. The Inn also boasts a restaurant called Max's and while I did not dine here I can say the place looks elegant. In the Inn's lobby there are beautiful chairs for reading or playing a game of chess. Perfectly, there is not a television to be found anywhere on the premises. Thank God. They do have very nice music playing the background, like smooth jazz meets pop soul meets motown. Anyway, the combination was wonderful. My room was very very clean and seems recently renovated. Kudos to the inn keepers who both at some point during my stay made there way over to engage me in a little conversation. I liked it so much I'd consider working there just to get away from my crazy life. Anyway, I highly recommend this Inn. read more

This place is awesome down to all the little details! Fresh bread served with a honey rosemary butter was a nice touch. On thursdays they have oysters which are my favorite! Then I had duck 3 ways- my husband liked the confit but I'm a sucker for a good pate! It did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I were researching places to stay in NH within 1-1.5 hours from Lake Winnipesaukee. We were debating between getting a Condo in Lincoln or staying here at an Inn. We decided to go with the Inn because it reminded us of the Green Mountain Inn in VT that we loved last year. We liked the Chimney house because the rooms had a personal fireplace the decor from the pictures looked nicer. Plus it was only 4 rooms in the house and not the Main point of gathering. Well we booked it (on 3/7/17 for 5/27-5/29/17). Then the next morning I get a phone call from Kerry. She informs me that the package we booked (last minute getaway) shouldn't have allowed me to book it since it wasn't a week before. Well guess what it did--let me book it. Not my fault, I don't run their website. So she preceeded to tell me that they can't honor the pricing for the Chimney house for that weekend at that price but I could book a lesser room for that price for that weekend. I told her no, we liked the Chimney house we wanted to stay there that's why we booked it. She goes okay, that will cost you $100 more for the weekend (brings our 332 to 433-after taxes). I said that's not okay. You are false advertising and you have to honor your pricing. It is illegal to false advertise and not stand by it. So she goes well I don't know what to do let me talk to the owners and see how they want to handle it I will call you back. So I get a call back, Kerry begins to tell me that the owners don't want to honor the pricing and that I can either book a lesser room or cancel for no charge. I told her that's not going to happen we wanted to stay there at the Chimney house and they need to honor their pricing. She goes hold on and proceeds to put Jen Kovach (one of the owners) on the phone. Jen begins to explain to me that they can't support that pricing and explains the last minute getaway package again to me. I then proceeded to explain again that they should be honoring their pricing. So she snaps back and starts to get nasty with me, tells me that the package I booked is so that when they have open rooms they can fill the inn so they can pay their bills. Fine I get that and respect it. HOWEVER... when you advertise something online BY LAW you have to stand by it. Even if it is just a one time thing. You must stand by it and then go and fix it so no one else can get messed up from it. Then, I proceeded to tell her that I understood that but It wasn't my fault the website let me book that package. It shouldn't have let me if they weren't going to let me use it. So she goes well this is going to be an uncomfortable stay for you and for us. We are a small inn of 17 rooms and we can't support that pricing. You have two choices either call back in May a week before and we will honor that pricing OR you can cancel your reservation. I responded with if I call back a week before Memorial day weekend everything will be booked we won't be guaranteed the Chimney house let alone a room for that week. And I proceeded to tell her, fine you want to give me choice I will give you choices. Either you honor pricing OR I will report you to the better business bureau and I will post this online so everyone else can see what kind of place you are running. Jen responded with, if that's what's going to make you feel better fine, go ahead. I will have Kerry cancel your reservation and hung up the phone on me. Please be aware of this place. Make sure you have every interaction in writing if you are still willing to stay here after this experience I've had.
