The fried cauliflower appetizer was delicious and so were the Caprese chicken sandwich, Crispy Chicken Mac and Nashville Hot Chicken. A special mention for our server, Taya. She went over and above! Not only was she friendly and on top of her game, she also was wonderful with our dog, Murphy, who is usually shy around new people. We felt lucky to have her as our server. We'll be back next time we're in the area!

But this is the third noteworthy experience with this restaurant, and I've never had an experience quite like the one I had a few days ago. When we arrived the host let us know that the outside eating area was busy and asked if we would like to sit inside. We were hopeful to wait and sit outside, but when we asked how long the wait would be for the patio, the host said, "I don't know." Which I registered as an unusual response. Regardless, we opted to stay and sit inside, since it was pretty empty and wouldn't be too hot. This turned out to be beneficial because our server was attentive, while there seemed to be a miscommunication between the two servers outside regarding who was covering which table. Folks kept coming in and saying they hadn't had a server visit their table yet despite being there for 20+ minutes. Which my parents and I were witnessing from watching out the window. When we were able to order, they were out of all of their specials and some of their key dishes which was quite frustrating. Our food took a while, but it was clear at this point that they were understaffed, so it was understandable. However, when our food was delivered, the food runner let us know they were out of silverware?? I ordered a garbage plate and my dad had a salad with his meal... certainly not finger foods. After a few minutes our server realized what happened and told the food runner to wash some silverware and bring it out to us. Such a bizarre situation. The food was good, but didn't make up for the environment of the evening. There was not a manager in sight to assist, coach, or help troubleshoot. And our server had to double as the bartender while also covering all of the tables inside, which filled up throughout the night. This restaurant has so much potential to be successful and the staff was working so hard. Management/ownership need to step up and support them.

We ordered our wings Garlic Romano and they brought up Sriracha Asiago garlic wings........HOT! The waitress was apologizing and ordered the right wings. The wings were the best I had. I was a bit disappointed in the rest as the onion petals were burnt and in the bottom of the basket was well done deep fried crumbles. The service was very slow and the waitress forgot 2 of our orders that we placed so it took a long time and we couldn't eat together. I ordered a burger medium and it was well done. I asked for mustard and ketchup and I ate half of my burger before she brought it and had to remind her again. They definitely need more servers as you can see she was the only one serving many tables and hard to keep up.

You might be tempted to drive right by Ridge Runners as it looks like a pretty straight forward roadside bar. Stop The Car! Just Stop! Go in and order a drink and the Spinach Artichoke dip. Enjoy that as you wait for one of the best steaks I've had in recent memory. Perfectly cooked, made with love by Dawn and Amy. On a Thursday add a Lobster tail and a side all for ..... wait......$25. I'm rarely speechless (as you can see from this review) but I was just that after eating my dinner tonight. Great friendly service. Blown away. Ate it too fast to take a picture.

I waited about 5 minutes at the bar before being greeted by a woman who seemed to be moving very slowly and was dressed extremely casually in ripped jean shorts. She was more engaged in a conversation with people at the corner of the bar than in taking my order, despite my attempts to get her attention. Once I finally got to order, the food was just okay. The salad wasn't very fresh, and the chicken fingers were mediocre . I've definitely had better elsewhere. While eating, I noticed several signs on the walls with sayings like "Sarcasm is one of the services we offer" and "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone." These signs, combined with the overall attitude, made the place feel unfriendly and uninviting. It seemed like the people working (likely the owners) weren't focused on creating a welcoming experience, and although the woman tried to smile at one point, it felt forced rather than genuine. Overall, the food was average at best, and the atmosphere wasn't very customer-friendly. I'd give Jake's Pub & Grill 2 stars out of 5. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for attentive service or a warm dining experience.

The woman at the counter was so friendly and courteous as my granddaughter had to try multiple shoe sizes before finding a good fit. Then she went out of her to check the ingredients in their soft pretzels to verify that my granddaughter was not allergic to any ingredients. Beyond that, when the automated pin setter on our lane got stuck, I asked a staff member if he could fix it. When he said no problem, I also asked if he could show my other granddaughter what was behind the pins, because she had asked me earlier. He said that unfortunately he could not because it's too dangerous when people are bowling. He fixed it and tried to take a behind the scenes video to show my granddaughter, but apologized that it didn't come out. Then a few minutes later he came back with a kind gesture that my granddaughters will always remember. This is beauty of a family-owned, small town business. We're so glad to live here!
