This past weekend my wife and I were watching our two granddaughters, (ages 7 and 10) while their parents were out of town. We took them to Brockport Bowl and could not be happier. The woman at the counter was so friendly and courteous as my granddaughter had to try multiple shoe sizes before finding a good fit. Then she went out of her to check the ingredients in their soft pretzels to verify that my granddaughter was not allergic to any ingredients. Beyond that, when the automated pin setter on our lane got stuck, I asked a staff member if he could fix it. When he said no problem, I also asked if he could show my other granddaughter what was behind the pins, because she had asked me earlier. He said that unfortunately he could not because it's too dangerous when people are bowling. He fixed it and tried to take a behind the scenes video to show my granddaughter, but apologized that it didn't come out. Then a few minutes later he came back with a kind gesture that my granddaughters will always remember. This is beauty of a family-owned, small town business. We're so glad to live here! read more

Easy to find and centrally located. Open and Easy parking with a front entry that puts you in the middle of everything. The facility is clean and organized with weighted color coded balls in specific racks. Each lane has its own meal table and the electronics are new and easy to use. Shoes are clean and the ambiance in the main area and bar is what you would expect from a privately owned bowling center. Locals are plentiful and there is always something to talk about. The grill has many fried options but the bacon egg burger is a solid choice. It is not huge but it is tasty and filling, it is also only 9 bucks. The food is good quality and comes out quick. We ordered pizza rolls, chicken strips, onion rings, fries and Mac snd cheese bites. They have 3 TVs to watch the games and they pump easy listening music when they are open. I really like this location and the manager was awesome when I brought my team for a company event. We had a great time and I recommend it. read more

You know I used to look forward to brockport bowl every Thursday night. And when I go to go w my best pals this Thursday we are met by a shocking sight. There is no bar or alcohol at the facility now. The one thing that would produce any sort of fun at such a mid bowling alley. They just lost a customer as I will never step back in this building again until they bring back alcohol and allow me to black out on 2$ beers and 3$ mixed drinks read more

Ummmmm, first of all, I'm an employee there on Friday night. Now for the FACTS. I was bowling with Joe the "new" owner when the "on lane" incident happened. We saw a young lady walking down the lane (which is full of lane conditioner) and he told her to get back and dont walk on the lane. All of a suddon, she barks back "who the *;"# are you"!? Yes, Joe was drinking on his NIGHT OFF, but not even close to intoxicated. BTW, he does not drink at all when he's working, nobody does. In this group of kids I only saw one girl being the big mouth. The others looked to be perfectly well behaved. I was actually impressed with the amount of restraint he showed. Personally, I would of " lost it". This is not a review, just a different opinion of what happened. Please don't judge any establishment you have not personally visited. read more

Was trying to bowl with my girlfriend and It was painfully obvious that the owner and his ragtime team of overweight middle aged friends were staring at our every move. This was extremely uncomfortable considering the place was a ghost town and dead silent with no music just two people bowling with 7 old men staring at them. The man at the register offered us a deal if we played a 2nd game then when I went to go pay he pretended like that conversation never happened and the deal was never on the table. That wouldn't have been that big of a deal if I didn't feel 7 pairs of eyes staring at me the entire conversation. read more

I just went to the Brockport Bowl tonight and had one of the worst experiences I've had when dealing with service and management at an establishment. My friends and I had been blatantly ignored when we tried to get a lane and felt some sort of tension with staff, and we weren't quite sure why. Later, we had two lanes and one of our lanes wanted to have the bumpers up. So, like any rational customer, we asked for bumpers and stood waiting for around fifteen minutes. We weren't seeing any staff around except for at the bar so one of my friends decided to try to put up the bumpers herself. Immediately, the "owner" (in quotes because he's extremely unprofessional and doesn't handle matters like a real owner should) confronted us and told her to get off the lanes because she'd be a liability. She apologized and tried to explain the situation to him, but was "greeted" with a slew of confrontation from the owner. He was very aggressive and continued to put his hand down at her to interrupt her so she'd stop talking to him. He was extremely rude and wasn't understanding at all, and didn't care at all about the customers. He proceeded to tell my friend, "You're only one person. You don't matter." He then grabbed a beer and went to the bar with a group of people. We were uncomfortable for the entire bowling experience due to the fact that he kept talking to groups of people and staring at us. We felt antagonized the whole night and kept looking over our shoulders. When we went to cash out, my friend wanted to apologize. She called him over to cash us out just so she could clarify why we were upset in the first place so he could understand the situation in order to improve upon certain aspects to work on customer service. We asked to have the employee who had ignored us to come over just so he knew the situation, and the owner ignored our requests. The employee did come over, and was very understanding about the situation. The owner, on the other hand, had a very immature attitude and refused to make eye contact with us. He acted like he wasn't paying attention to our requests. He then said, "Let's just cash them out and-" and proceeded to shoo us away, in an incredibly rude manner. My friend confronted him on his lack of professionalism and class when dealing with customers coming to HIS establishment. In response, he walked away from us in an immature, childish frenzy, causing a scene due to his dramatic behavior. He then went to his family and continued to drink alcohol like he had been all night. Come to find out, he drinks while running his establishment. I wouldn't go here again, even though I used to go to this bowling alley as a child. The experience itself has rubbed me the wrong way and I refuse to support a childish man who can't handle taking criticism to improve his establishment. read more
