I purchased a sliding glass door that wasn't a perfect fit, yet he and his colleague worked all day to fit it perfectly, get the appropriate fillers to make the inside and outside look as if it were not only made to fit, but top notch. I had a stucco finish outside that they matched perfectly and a complicated internal wall structure. The pictures really do not do it justice, it turned out amazing. Keep in mind, like all other door installers, that they do not paint the finish so you can match it and I will be doing that soon. Would definitely recommend them, great job guys..... read more

I called So California Sliding Doors to fix our office door. Twice they told me they would be there on a certain day. No one showed up either day, nor did anyone give us the courtesy of a phone call to let us know they would not be here. I would highly NOT recommend this company as they are obviously unreliable. Kyle came to our home to measure and my mom really liked him. I read the reviews, and I am not gonna lie-reviews from many years ago were not great. The recent reviews were better. I called Kyle myself and told him about the older reviews which I read. He did not deny them. What he did, is tell me that this is a family business and in the past, his grandfather couldn't handle it all. He said they were working hard to get this all turned around. You know, I didn't meet Kyle but I do believe in people and believed everything he was telling me. Many people are so quick to write something negative and forget to talk about the good. So I am here to talk about the good. Kyle was prompt with the measuring, getting the bid out and keeping his word on the install date. Our closet doors are gorgeous. The men who installed were kind and efficient. So if you need closet doors, give Kyle, Donna or Missy a call. You will be very pleased. read more

My experience is totally different from some I have seen here. A car drove through the back wall of my store and the building owner sent Jim over the same day. He secured it and worked diligently with the city to get the permits to fix the wall. Once he got the go ahead, he personally oversaw the craftsman, who repaired the structural damage in one day and immediately got to the cosmetic work as soon as the city signed off on each phase of the repairs. What amazed me even more, was that when I went in at the end of the day to check the status, they had swept up every piece of dust and debris and bagged it up. I don't remember the last time I encountered contractors with such pride in their work. read more

Fair priced but very bad communication. This company is small and the owner seeMs over taxed. Small is good, but if you can't hear back from someone with answers for days or r weeks doing business with that company can be frustrating. I think you are safe if you just have them do roller change outs. A door changeout is too much for this company to do well. read more

Called them and clearly notified receptionist that I needed to replace rollers on two screen doors. When the technician came out he tried to sell me new screen doors at &280 each. When asked why he wouldn't simply replace the rollers he said he does not work on spring rollers because they would stop working in 6 months and he would be back to replace them. If you are replacing spring rollers on any mid century screen doors, this isn't the company for you! read more

Terrible company policy of failing to notify customers of the minimum $125 charge just to show up. The serviceman adjusted a roller on one (1) sliding closet door. No parts necessary, just a quick adjustment that didn't even take 10 minutes. We are definitely not going to ever recommend this company for anything. Ripoff. read more

This company was fast and fixed the major issue (replaced the slider's wheels), but their associate had a very "cannot do" attitude. I need some trim replaced on my sliding door track, and a new lock installed. Frank really didn't want to do anything extra, even when I mentioned I was ready to pay. He didn't have the parts and "could order them, but it would take a while." Maybe I should "call a locksmith" for a sliding door handle lock. I felt like he was in a hurry to get paid and run. Heck, if I made $185 in 30 minutes, I'd run off too. $185 to pull off the slider, replace the wheels, and put it back. read more

We had a VERY strange experience with this business. Initially, we hired them to repair one of our dining room windows that had become stuck. A spring mechanism in the frame broke. They came out, looked it over, measured the window, and came back a week or so later to make the repair. Their guys were friendly and we thought they did a good job, even though the cost ($150) did seem steep. In May we contacted them again because we were having the same issue with a small (VERY SMALL) bathroom window. As before 2 guys came out, inspected the window, took measurements and we agreed that we wanted it repaired. Almost a full month went by and we hadn't heard back from them. We called and left a voicemail one day and got no return call. Called again the next day and the woman said she wasn't aware of us at all, that she would look into it and call back. This time we were told the cost would be $200 for the same repair for a much smaller window frame. When questioned about that price she said she would check on it and call us back. A FULL week went by so we called her again and again she said she was checking on that price. After ANOTHER day we called again. She indicated the price would be 200. We agreed and asked her to schedule a repair. ANOTHER day went by with no word on when they might do the repair. We called one last time to ask and she STILL could not schedule us??? At that point we told her that it didn't seem as though she wanted our business. She said, "Okay, thank you. Goodbye!" All I can say is WOW. What a lousy way to do business!!! Sorry, I don't BEG for businesses to take my money!!! The other reviewer here states that she "can usually get an appointment right away and that cost is very affordable." BOY, neither of those things were true for us. I guess you have to be a Realtor in La Quinta to have that happen? We'll NEVER call them again!!! read more

The owner doesn't answer calls, the workmen keep our screen doors, and the whole gang mysteriously go missing. Maybe they have a magic act in Vegas. But to do business with them, ever again?
