I have not been in a laundromat for decades so this was a shocker. Eight and 10 load washers? Amazing! I needed training and I still added too much soap to the comforters I'm cleaning. The attendant has been so gracious and helpful. She may pity me but that's fine. Whew, the suds crisis is not as severe as they originally thought. Not only is the laundromat clean and empty, it's next door to an old fashioned candy store (sells ice cream also), and a few doors from one of the few independent pharmacies, Pruitt's Pharmacy, and across the street from Family Dollar if you need big garbage bags, like I do. All in all, even though they were out of the free popcorn, I'm still quite pleased. read more

Traveling across country and needed to do a load. Yelp didn't let me down. This place is the cleanest laundromat I've ever seen. The staff was super friendly. Lots of machines of many sizes. I used to be of the mindset that 'every laundromat sucks so you may as well just go the closest one.' But now, I drive past 5 others to come to this one. I don't even dread having to go to the laundromat anymore! I feel a little silly being so gung-ho about a laundromat but let me tell you why: - It's clean. The outside, the inside, the washers and dryers, the folding tables, the seating areas, the floors, the bathroom-- everything, CLEAN! - It's less expensive than the crappy laundromat near my house. - Plenty of laundry carts and folding tables. - There's an attendant on duty! If a machine eats your money, you have a way to notify someone. That's never happened to me here but it's nice to know someone's there should you need them. - WIFI. It's seriously better than my wifi at home. - So many places to sit! I had fallen off the bandwagon and was going to the nearest laundromat to my house for a while - but I came back here a few weeks ago and they had added so much seating! It looks like they bought some booths from a restaurant that went out of business and said bye-bye to the old and unsteady airport-like seats that had before. Great upgrade. - There's a kid-area. I don't have kids but it seems like a plus for those who do. - TVs - On Sundays, they usually have football playing on the back TV and a USA-type channel on in the front. Even if it's not something I care about watching, it's nice to have some background noise. I met the owner last time I was here and he insisted on helping carry my laundry out to my car. I think laundromats are often owned by people who put the minimum amount of money and work into them - because they can get away with that. But not this place. You can tell the owners of Soap Opry really care about their business and their customers. That's refreshing to me- I will continue to support this business and encourage others to as well! read more

They also offer same day wash and fold laundry service for only $1.25 per pound. Very clean, bright place and April is the BEST!!! Passing through and needed to do mid vacation laundry. This place was clean and bright and fresh. $2.75 for a double loader of clothes and $0.50 for ten minutes to dry. I had a decent sized load and did two cycles for a buck in the dryer. Not sure if these prices are standard but being a a safe, well lit, clean and attendant staffed laundry mat was worth. A little drive from my hotel but it was a great experience! Soap and drinks and vending machine items available for purpose and wifi and tv while you wait. Can't beat that! read more

Just moved to Nashville for school & needed a place to do my laundry. Soap opry was clean & organized. Was in and out in less than 2 hours.

Stopped by to do a quick load of laundry while on vacation and heading onto Chicago. The place has easy parking, free wi-fi and is amazingly clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely nice, and even bought Krispy Kreme doughnuts for the morning customers. I never thought I would give a review on a laundry mat, and haven't used one in years. This is an unexpected gem in Nashville while traveling and beat the heck out of doing a quick load at the hotel. All around great place and an unexpected pleasant surprise. read more

I've been coming here for a while now, and I have to say: if you haven't been here in the past few months, you owe it to yourself to check it out. New management has completely changed this place for the better; Free wifi, new comfortable benches, new booths all along the walls and an overall clean and cheerful interior. This is a great spot if you need to do a few small loads, or if you're doing a giant load of blankets and comforters. Machines are coin operated and a bill machine will make change for you. Almost as if it was never even put in the dryer. I suppose I should have requested the wash, DRY, then fold service. Tried to call them to voice a complaint. While vacationing in Nashville a couple of weeks ago, I stumbled upon Soap Opry Laundry. This is, by far, the nicest, cleanest, quickest self-wash laundry I've ever been to in my life! Phil was very helpful and kind, as well as his wife, Carol. I felt extremely safe and comfortable. The washing machines are new and take most of the moisture out of the clothes so that you don't have to wait forever for them to dry. I believe I only had to put a couple of quarters in the dryer because they worked so well too! Price was spot on. Very pleased to say I got out of there in about an hour with spending less than $7 or so for quite a bit of laundry. Highly recommend Phil's place to anyone who is either on vacation or living there! read more

I've been having my laundry done here since the pandemic began. They have always done a great job and at a very reasonable price. Well, now they're under new management and they STILL do a great job at very reasonable prices. One change I've noticed is that the way they fold/pack my clothes for pickup has improved dramatically!! I mean, shirts with shirts, towels divided by size, shorts with shorts...I could go on. Such a great find on our travels. The owners were incredibly friendly, the premises were clean and inviting. The prices were reasonable and there was plenty of space to sort and fold. There were many sizes of machines that were in great, clean working order. They had a "kids corner" and booth area down the back of the shop for the waiting area. Been here 4, or 5 times. Love this place. The young lady is a pleasant help. The only problem I have with this place is the other worker and her husband. A couple of times I came in to do my laundry and the man seemed out of it and the woman seemed to either have a lot on her mind or be on something. She was all over the place. Now I was born in the 80's so I know what to look for in "those" kinds of people. It isn't a good look for business. Other then that loved the other two ladies working there. I drive by three laundromats just to get to this one. UNBELIEVEABLE the floors look like marble they have the only 100 lb. washer in Nashville. Granite couner tops. Very friendly staff. 5 flat screens and yes a special tv and play section for kids. Well lit, clean , safe. I even saw a security person walking the lot. Machines are all clean. They can handle huuuuge loads. I have a king mink blanket and they have machines to handle 6 times that load. Not too busy, and they have lots of washers and dryers. Would definately cone back to wash my mink blanket and sheets. read more

The other yelpers are correct; this place is great!! My down comforter would not dry in my apt dryer so I followed the great yelp reviews across town to here. It's clean, the people are SUPER sweet and helpful, and it only took 20 minutes in an industrial dryer to get my comforter dry!!!! I had dried it no less than 7 times in my personal dryer. My husband stopped in here mid vacation to do piles of laundry after camping in the smokies (before we returned to civilization in Nashville :) The owners were friendly, personable, and so helpful and he raved about how he has never been to such a nice laundromat.
