This group of people is well organized. They are also kind. I now take much of my laundry to them as the availability of washers and dryers in my building is uncertain. Because I am old, 77, moving a heavy basket of laundry is challenging. Having them load and unload baskets is very helpful. Really nice people. This is my go-to place for dry cleaning in Hillsboro/West End. I go about every two weeks and they are always kind and prompt. The drive through feature is the best part - I swing through on my way to work and it adds 30 seconds to my commute. Today, I had the only issue I have had with them - a dress was destroyed in the drycleaning process because there was a tag left on. The cleaners took full responsibility and reimbursed me for the dress and made it an easy process. With the ease of the drive through and the great customer service, I will be going here for as long as I live in Nashville. read more

They're always prompt, kind, and efficient. I am usually happy with the results. However - there was one time I had a silk shirt with a specific way the fabric is supposed to lay as a stylistic detail and they oddly ironed it out and I couldn't get it back to what it looked like before. I never wore it again. That's the ONLY time, though. Today I went to drop off clothes since Google and Yelp both said they were open and I thought, "oh wow- they're open on Labor Day? Sweet! Maybe I'll drop this off with them and pick it up Friday." Nope. I drive 15 mins there to see a sign on the door and the lights off and drive 15 mins back home. Definitely bummed, but it's Labor Day - I understand! No worries :-) Overall they're my go-to place and will continue to be. Great prices and service. I had SO MUCH STUFF that was in desperate need of dry cleaning. I mean, we were talkin' garbage bags full of stuff here people. Yeah...looonnnngg overdue...and quite embarrassing. A few of those items are very old, and hold a lot of sentimental value to me. So it was important that I find a really good cleaner, and one that wouldn't charge me, like, $500.00 for all my stuff. I turned to Yelp, and really liked what I read about this place. So I called and gave the super nice woman a list of what I had to bring in. The quote was FAR less than I had anticipated, and I really wondered if she had calculated it all properly. I hauled all my bags over later that afternoon, and sure enough...she was spot on with the price...just under $200.00! "Almost $200.00!", you exclaim. Why yes, and what a steal! You thought I was kidding about bags full. Well, lemme break it down for ya: long dress coats, quarter dress coats, pea coats, evening gowns, skirts, blazers, pants, and a scarf (sans the pear tree). Yeah...like I said, a STEAL! Additionally, I dropped off all these items late on a Saturday afternoon, and all of them were ready by the following Tuesday morning. Yeah, now that's impressive. And it gets even better from there. I have one nice pea coat I purchased in Chicago some years back. Then during a trip to Seattle, I grazed a wall that had been freshly painted beige. ARGH! (Signs, people! Signs!) I tried everything to get the paint out of the sleeve, and while some of it did (and it wasn't horribly noticeable in the end), the coat was downgraded to a "I'm-just-running-to-the-store-in-my-sweats" kind of coat...which was kind of a shame. For the last few years, I've had it cleaned multiple times, but the paint always remained. Well, guess what...Nashville Cleaners got that old paint out ON THE FIRST TRY! Whaaa?!? Yeah, they did, and I didn't even tell them it was there. I was blown away! On my return trip, I asked how in the world they got it out. Lots of smiles, but no answer. Hmm. Heck...who cares! I'm still floored! I'll admit I was a little hesitant going to this place since it's in a rather busy part of town, and traffic in that area is always a real pain. However, I have been pleasantly surprised at the ease of accessing their shop. The drive-thru service is friggin' awesome too - super fast! I promised myself I wouldn't let things pile up like that again, so I've visited multiple times since. I will admit that I'm am sometimes confused by their pricing on certain items. Some are shockingly inexpensive, while others cost far more than I thought they would. Nevertheless, I feel it all balances out in the end, and I'm consistently really happy with their work. I have been here a few times. I paid to get my sleeves altered and when I picked up the shirt, they cut the sleeves and charged me $15. I paid to have them shorten. So why would they cut them and not sow it back. I didn't realized it was worth $15 to just cut off my sleeves. Also I got a scarfed cleaned. I picked it up and it wasn't clean. I decided to try out Nashville Cleaners for a few reasons when I needed to dry-clean a comforter set and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for it. I was shocked at some of the vague quotes that I received when I called a few other places. They literally ranged from a "around" $45 - $65 for a Queen size comforter. Ouch! When I called Nashville Cleaners, the lady who answered offered me a firm quote of $40. I'll take it! Let me walk you through why a Dry Cleaner/Laundry have earned each and every star. The first star is due to the convenient location on 21st Avenue in the Hillsboro Village area. I am immediately adding on another star because they offer drive-up/through service. That's right folks... you don't even get out of your vehicle! I pulled up and literally seconds later, a friendly lady walked right on up to my car and checked me in, re-quoted me a price, and asked me when I would like to pick up my cleaned goods (they can do same day but I wasn't in a hurry). She promptly gave me a ticket and packed up my comforter all in about 4 minutes flat. I received the same great service when I picked up my comforter a few days later so I dropped off a couple of dresses too. I will also consider dropping off some laundry here during busy times too as they offer Wash/Fold service here at a very reasonable rate of $1.60 per pound. Does this remind anyone else of that kid in middle school who offered to do your homework for you for some measly candy? I've had some mediocre experiences with drycleaners in the past so I feel inclined to give Nashville Cleaners some well-deserved props. They are the bee's knees! read more

So, I'm not one of those people that brings all their laundry to their parents' house when they go home for a visit. Honest, I'm not. Really! I swear. I just bring some of it... not *all* of it. Anyway, I brought home this fancy, lil jacket all decked out with sequin trim. My mom points out to me that it's dirty. I'm all, "Nooooo, really?" She gives me that "look" and says I need to have it dry cleaned. What do I do? I go on Yelp of course and see all the hugs and kisses people have been giving to Nashville Cleaners. Wait a couple days, trying to not worry that my beloved sequins are becoming a hot mess (again, literally). Pick my jacket up and it is PERFECT y'all! Been here a few times. Second time I used them, my sweater came back with a hole in it. I chalked it up to just bad luck and didn't blame them. It was a delicate sweater. Next time I used them, they stored my clothes under the wrong name and number ( quite a hard thing to do since I had picking up clothes at the same time I dropped those off, and they already had my name up in their system). Tip: Never lose your green slip or you may never see your clothes again!! When I got home, I inspected my black and white formal dress. They ruined it. The white had grey stains all over it. When I brought it back to show them, the blamed it on "dirt that got inside the lining of the dress". Apparently, I rolled around in the dirt in my formal dress so much that it got trapped between layers of sewn together fabric. This "dirt" conveniently was invisible to the naked eye until it was dry-cleaned. When I asked to speak to the owner, they said to call ahead the next day to make sure he's in before I come. I told them that I would come at noon and to let the owner know that. The next day I call at 11:30 to remind them. They tell me that there's no need to talk to the owner. He confirmed that it was dirt inside the dress and has left. They can fix it but that it will be hard and expensive. How convenient. Ruin my dress and then up-charge me clean it again, all the whole complaining about how hard it will be to clean. Now that's customer service. Off to find a new dry-cleaner read more

I love this place. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. It wasn't until this past experience when, I decided to go to yelp. You can drive up and they will come out and take your dry cleaning off your hands. All you need is a phone number and your off. Dropping off dry cleaning has never been so easy. This past time I brought in pants to get fixed. Instead of trying to take my money and fix pants that were not fixable. They educated me on how it would look and they advised I just purchase new pants! This is always a big step when I venture to take my business somewhere. The staff here is so friendly and helpful! I've had my fair share of awful dry cleaning experiences so I still can't believe my luck with how great they are here. Pricing is fair, turn around time is quick, and they do a great job! They even do exceptional repairs/alterations. They photograph all your garments before cleaning them so they know if there are any problems beforehand. I know this because I came back to pick up and they politely pointed out that my sweater had been eaten by moths and I hadn't noticed (yuck and sad). Serves me right for procrastinating I guess. I got gravy on a silk tie, but it's like nothing happened now. As long as they keep doing this magic, I'll keep returning. Why the downvote? Well frankly it was because I felt the staff to be considerably less attentive in a way that I found slightly off putting. Perhaps this action makes me a Yelp Elitist (yuk yuk yuk) but after walking in recently and saying "I was in here a few years ago and you folks did a great job on a tie, I was hoping you could do it again" the gal, perhaps automatically said "Have you been here before?". It was difficult to describe just how obviously they weren't paying attention to the words coming out of my mouth, especially when I was being complementary of the business. It's hung with me enough that I felt it worth mentioning. In the end, as I said, I'll come back the next time I get something on one of my ties, but somehow the shine of the place seems to have come off with my last stain. read more

Not great. Yea, they get your clothes done. But the pricing seems to have no rhyme or reason. There's a minimum weight for wash and fold but also a charge if you go over a certain weight. I'm not going to try to find the goldilocks zone of my laundry to be able to bring it in and not cost a fortune -- which it often does. No communication with staff unless you go inside, but it's a drive through so that doesn't even feel natural or recommended. Don't even get to see a price before they take your card and charge it, then they just bring out the receipt with your clothes, often way more than expected. I read the reviews and have gone here a few times for shirts to be laundered and some dry cleaning. The finished product is on par with most other cleaners I've been to, but the prices are about 50% higher than one should expect to pay. Recently I had 5 shirts laundered and a dress and sweater for my wife, the total bill was $44 - or $16 higher than a nicer, cleaner, more friendly dry cleaner charged for the same garments in Chicago. Right turns getting in and out, no backing up whilst trying to avoid hitting cars and pedestrians, and an effin drive thru! Months ago they broke the zipper to one of my winter coats that was cleaned. We decided to give them another chance and have them dry clean a dress and repair the zipper to jeans.. We brought in both items July 1st and they told us they would have it ready in a week. I came back for pickup in a week and they said they'd have it ready in another week. I said this was unacceptable and promised they'd have it ready on Monday. I showed up Monday again, and they claimed it wasn't ready until Thursday, 2 weeks after we first dropped them off. I decided to go inside and see if I can talk to another person to help me. They gave me the rrun around for 5 minutes and finally someone decided to check the back for the finished jeans. If I didn't complain, we would have waited another 3 days, a full 2 weeks for a broken zipper and a dress. Unacceptable. Service is questionable at best. But the apathy demonstrated by their employees to keep their customers satisfied and happy is appaulling. They will not be keeping our business. I wish there was an option to not even select 1 star. I took two formal dresses, just purchased and worn once each to a wedding weekend, to be dry cleaned here. They came back and one dress had the entire bottom hem ripped out. The other dress had a hole ripped in the inside seam and a very poor and noticeable repair job. These were brand new dresses, worn once, and they did not go to the cleaners in this condition. I understand that accidents may happen but they 1) returned the dresses to me without alerting me of the issues 2) tried to sloppily fix one dress and created more damage in the process. So, I picked up the dress that was missing and tried to address the other issues. They apologized for the missing dress. However, they were unable to remove the residue at the top of the dress, had pressed parts of the dress to death and attempted to reinforce a seam with hand stitching that, although appreciated, was unnecessary and mediocre at best. I have a tailor. If I needed you to do any alterations, I would have asked for them. When I told them about the damage and discoloration, they interrupted and tried to tell me they took pictures before attempting to clean the items and that the damage was already there. That's a straight up lie. The pink stains on the B&W dress came from my bright pink chiffon gown. They hadn't touched each other until they placed them next to each other after cleaning. Has anyone else found that their clothes have shrunk here? I brought in 2 nice sweaters to be dry cleaned and when I picked them up, they were cropped and the sleeves were short! I'm not sure what inspired me to try Nashville Cleaners a 2nd time but brought a dress I've had for years in and again it was returned short and could barely get my arms in the arm hole. Had my friends confirm that that was not how the dress looked the week before! This is the exact reason I took these items in to get dry cleaned - to have them maintain their look and feel. Really wanted to love this place because of location, price and the drive through but ridiculous to pay $10 an item to have your clothes shrunk! read more
